What other websites do you visit on a regular basis?

But I will have Dagny in tow. Sounds, like a new malfunction, doesn't it?*** From what I hear, it can be a serious, but very comical, malfunction if there's enough alcohol in the vicinity... I'll probably show up Fri afternoon, leave Sunday night or Monday morning. I don't have to work again until Tues that week... Mike

Wait til you jump with me.....then you'll see some REALLY strange body positions....on exit....flight....and deployment! Mike
-
Dude...I'm a pilot....where do you think I found out about those showerheads?! Mike
-
Damn....I just checked out the zhills website....high altitude jumps and pitts jumps..... I'm there!! See ya guys then! Mike
-
So....where exactly in Florida are you moving to next year? Mike
-
Looks a lot like the position many have told me they assume just after pitching their PC on their S3.. Mike
-
Not necessarily.....in my last place, I had one of those two headed shower things(the heads were spaced about 18" apart, each could be aimed separate of the other). I learned after a while of being the one that was cold and wet... I think I got mine from Hammacher Schlemmer(sp?).. Mike
-
How long did your suit take(just wondering what delivery time is)? I'm going to order a freefly camera suit from them soon....probably next week, since I'll be at Lake Wales then anyways... I want them to do the measuring, so if it turns out sized wrong....there's no doubt as to who is responsible! Had that problem with another manufacturer when a dealer measured me.....took a while to get it all cleared up.. Mike
-
I was hoping to be able to post pics of my new S3 this week.....but I called today, and found out it was delayed two more weeks...won't ship from Slovenia until Nov 21st! They said the delay is from all you bastahds ordering Pantz!!! Mike

What makes you think anybody is sleeping? I mean, there IS docking going on.. Mike
-
I need to get ahold of one of those for a while.. Hell, I've been thinking about making one, but that'd probably be more trouble than it's worth. Is Bonehead the only one that makes one? Kinda costly for theirs. Mike

What are you moving to Florida for? Work? School? Mike

I learned that lesson many years ago when a good friend of mine became permanently disabled(still able to do just about anything he wants, just can't fly for medical reasons). He had LTD, and it's still paying 6 years later - and will pay him for up to 35 years total. I have never gone without LTD since then. It's pretty cheap for me, about $6 a month. It doesn't pay the best(60% of salary up to $4k a month) out of all the LTD plans out there, but it's easily enough to get by on. Mike

And it appears to come fully equipped with a couple of s and a dog! Mike

Well, I don't know if your rules there at the Academy vary from those for pilots joining the USAF as an officer....but it was very recent that they began allowing candidates with PRK, but they still do NOT allow candidates with Lasik. I've been watching this closely for several years. ANG follows the same rules. None of the other branches allow FW pilots with any eye surgery. I used to have 20/400 vision, but after Lasik a bit over 3 years ago I test at 20/20(absolute worst, usually 20/15) each eye, and 20/15 to 20/12 both eyes. I recently passed the cutoff age for commisioning for active duty, but the ANG is still a possibility. Mike

I wear sunglasses for all types of jumps.....RW, Birdman, freefly(HD, sit, stand), whatever. Never had a problem with 'em. My eyes don't tear up at all(and I have very sensitive eyes since I had Lasik a few years back). I have to wear sunglasses or dark goggles when the sun is in full effect since my eyes are very sensitive to light. Try it. Just make sure you have a strap to keep them held tightly to your face so they don't flutter at high speeds. Mike Edited to add: I wear whatever type of sunglasses that fit good on the ground. I've used Oakleys, Gatorz, Rayban...and a couple generic types. Just make sure you get ones that block UVA AND UVB rays.

Skydive Arizona Dropzone.com 2nd Annual Holiday Boogie

As I said, I haven't scheduled my flight yet....but will within a couple days....but as of now, it appears I'll be arriving on American at 1230. I'm planning to rent a car, and I'll pack in as many people as can fit for the trip down. When I return depends on whether or not my vacation time is approved....if not, I return on Dec 31....if so, I will be leaving Eloy sometime around Jan 4-7, then driving to SoCal to visit the family for a few days before returning to Florida. You have to test your work! Oh, and you have to invite me along to help! If you don't want to fire it, I will! Just be sure you aren't near any nearby vehicles....never know which one I might choose to test it on! Mike

I'm sure I'll see you first thing just about every morning then....but I think I'll be heading to bed, while you're just getting up.. Then again, 5am Arizona time is 7am Florida time....hey, maybe I will be getting up about that time! I'll have to go back to work to relax after the boogie... Mike -
Anybody know where rigger training is conducted near Orlando? I have a unique work schedule(every other week off), so I can't do the standard two-three week straight crash course, so I'd like to work on it about a week at a time. I'm not looking for a quick crash course, I want something where I can actually learn what I want/need to know. Thanks! Mike

My rig is 21lbs. Mirage G3 size M3X(stainless hardware if it makes any difference), PD160R, Sabre2 150, Cypres. It weighed 19lbs when I was jumping a Stiletto 120. The Mirage is supposedly a fairly heavy rig, though. Mike

Definitely a problem. Anybody that has worked with metal knows that bending metal just once decreases the strength of it, and repeated bending(especially back and forth) severely decreases the strength. Now, maybe RWS isn't worried about it because they know the pins are strong enough to handle it, but why chance it? This could be the result of a bad batch of ripcords, since it doesn't seem to be extremely widespread. How close are the DOM's on the rigs/ripcords in question? Mike
