Who made the suit? Mike

I see by your profile you're jumping a Sabre2....psycho pack it. http://www.precision.net/psycho/psycho_pack.htm I've got almost 200 jumps on my Sabre2 now, all but about 5 of 'em psycho packed. Excellent openings, even on my wingsuit. Easy to bag. Check out the link above to find out how to do it. Down near the bottom there's a link to another page with pictures showing all the steps. Mike

DO NOT buy an HP laptop!!!! They are total shit! I've had one for almost 3 years - it's been back for repair at least 8 or 10 times. Monitors failed, hard drives failed, motherboard failed(THREE TIMES!), keyboard quit working(certain keys, not the whole thing - this happened FIVE TIMES!), etc... I thought I got a lemon, but have heard from many people I know and work with the same type of thing from their HP notebooks. It was back to HP 4 times during the first year - the manufacturers warranty. It's a damn good thing I bought the 2 year extended warranty(for a total of 3 years) when I bought this POS. After the warranty expires, and this thing has another major failure....I'm taking it skydiving! Get a Dell! Mike

Your name is on the "Tickets bought" list.....that means you have to come. No matter what. See ya there. Mike -
I've always worried about being put into a tank with sharks with friggin' laser beams on their friggin' foreheads! Mike

Yea, she could always ask Lisa.... Mike

From the time you throw out your PC to being in the saddle is 700-800'? Or is it from the time you check altitude? If the latter, it's probably 500-600' openings. 700-800 is not unreasonable, many canopies take that long. I have about 150-200 jumps on various Hornets from a 190 to a 120 - all opened in 500-700', softly. If you want to speed it up, pull the nose out in front of the slider. Mike

Either email or call RWS...that looks like a serious potential problem to me. Even if they don't require any additional pull force, bending metal weakens it. Bill Booth frequents the board, hopefully he will see this soon and respond. You can PM him - screen name billbooth. Mike

Burning....definitely burning....A good friend of mine drowned(clinically dead), but we revived him about 2 minutes later. He remembers every second until passing out. He said it was kinda surreal....like it wasn't happening to him. He thinks it's probably one of the easiest ways to go - aside from an instant death, that is. He panicked for a few seconds, then said he realized he was going to die, and calmed down...while still trying to get out. Eventually he just passed out. The next thing he remembers is being on deck, with several of us doing CPR. Mike

Hmmmmm.....I wonder if the "Edit" function will still be available when she sobers up and sees this? Hope not. Save the pics now for future blackmail, just in case! Mike

I remember....my bottle of JB disappeared pretty quickly....I only got to drink like half of it! I spotted it later being passed around....then I saw it on the video... One of my first stops after arriving in PHX will be at a liquor store to stock up on the hard stuff. Like a kid in a candy store.. Speaking of video.....how's that coming? Mike -

My taste buds are not too high class for any kind of beer when it's free! Hell, if ya drink enough of any beer, you'll get drunk eventually! Then who cares what it tastes like?! Mike -

Unfortunately, no. It would take total immersion for a long period of time. Think of it this way....if you drink a 12 pack of beer within an hour once a week, will you ever be able to function as if you were totally sober shortly afterwards? Nope. How about an alcoholic that drinks that much, or more, on a daily basis? More than likely. Of course, we may need to test my alcohol theory....once, maybe twice a week should be sufficient. Mike -
So you got the 4-8am time? Damn...that's kinda rough....at least you'll be wide awake toward the end when the sun comes up! Mike

Porters climb pretty quickly...it'll probably take 90 seconds from liftoff to jumprun. I'm guessing there will only be 3 or 4 people, max, in the plane at a time....including pilot and safety personnel. Mike

If you call my comment complaining, then yes. I have thought about the Coach rating, and I may get it at some point....but for now, I'm not going out of my way and spending a few hundred bucks total to get it. Notice they don't offer the IRM for download? It's probably the only REQUIRED manual. I guess for now I'll just continue to jump with those that don't require a coach...and I'll continue to pay my own slot. Hell, if I get the coach rating, I'll still pay my own slot. I'm not worried about the money....it's just the fact that USPA seems to be trying to get money out of us every way they can, then they talk about things like cancelling our insurance. Mike

Got stung by about 60 bees once. That sucked....bad! That's what you get when you're a punk ass little kid with a rifle, no sense, and shooting at beehives. Mike

I remember seeing that there will be free beer.....is that every night? How much beer we talkin here? Of course, for the beer snobs, I must ask....what kind? With well over 200 people, kegs will be going quicker than you can move the tap from one to the next! Mike -
I speak all the Spanish I need..... Dos cervezas, por favor.. I get a lot of practice saying it, too.. If there's two of us drinking, replace Dos with Quatro........my Spanish is COMPLETE! Mike

Hey....I just noticed I'm in your current avatar.. Mike

Nope...I never look back....I run like a fast little girl! Mike

That's a good thing, though.....I always get scared when I look out the window of the airplane. I'm terrified of flying. Aisle seats are the way to go. You don't have to climb over some schmuck who won't move when you need to get up....and you get to BE that schmuck that doesn't move for anybody. On the downside, you probably get stuck in damn near the last row every time you're in the back. You get to be the Lav Guard! Mike
-
I must be doing something wrong then....because I get on heading openings probably 90% of the time - and those that are off heading are rarely more than 30 degrees or so. Occasionally I will get a 90, but I generally feel that's from body position or rig adjustment(one leg strap tighter than the other, thus loading one side of the canopy more than the other). As soon as my canopy sits me up, I'm watching it inflate - and it's almost always straight and inflating symetrically. Mike

YOU SUCK!!!!!!!!! I saw it here in Orlando at ONE liquor store.....and it went out of business two months ago!@# Mike
