    Some of the funniest things I've seen and been part of are the "After the Sat. night Party" first sunday morning loads.Plenty of people "Barfing out the plane on the taxiway".1 time I did the freefall RW just great and all of a sudden realized I was rapidly approaching 1,000 ft.Big Opps(Serious Hangover not good!)(lol)Glad I don't drink like that anymore!Opened my main and landed in the middle of the airport.Didn't jump the rest of the day!Bitched myself out for not "Pulling My Reserve Instead"Yikes,be careful out there.rob

    Something to consider.I have heard "Horror" stories of people(have witnessed it also)of jumpers getting caught in a "Fast Moving Summertime Severe Thunderstorm"!Yikes,the big "Yikes" the ram-air mains would not stay "Inflated".Only thing that saved the poor suckers was a "Round Reserve"rob

    There is something about the 500-1000 range.Confident enough in the basic skills but"More often than not" lacking sound judgement.Being able to hold "Oneself Back" is a sign of maturity and experience.Sometimes you just have to give in to the youth and say "Let's see you in 30 yrs with no hospital visits"?Humm,take chances pay the price!rob.

    Humm,this why I have been "Trained" to pack the way I do!Cock 1 after laying it down.Check 2 before putting in bag."Cock 1(3 total) more time" after parachute is in bag!No reason for a good pilot chute(good working order)not to work.

    Interesting!Each of us is responsible for "Our Own" altitude and canopy choice.But,Da pilot dude is in charge!If he/she says get out at 1000 ft.What do you do at 900ft,800ft,?How about 650ft?"I'M GETTING OUT AND PULLING MY RESERVE"!Other than that I'm staying in the plane below 500ft and possibly die with everyone else.Running through all the outs to save ones life can't be a bad thing!rob

    Your right,It is sorta sad funny.(sorry)(lol)My first off landing was the first skyvan boogie at my home dz.We were first out on 1 long pass.Opened up after my first 60 second delay under a round canopy and said "Oh Shit".No way making it back.Nothing under me but woods.Humm,ok there a few paths back here.Lucky I managed to do a nice PLF on the small path while my round chute just landed in a small tree.Never panic,use what you know,land safe.rob

    Hey ya'all, we here at West Point held a Texas hold-em tournament to raise money for the cause.$20 to get in,included beer & pizza.We had sooooo much fun sat. night that we hope to do it 1 a month until sept.It helped that I kicked everybody's ass and donated half my winnings($75)for the cause.They are gunning for the rob(rabbit)now!
