  2. I'm surprised no one has jumped on the fact that this kid was home-schooled yet... "Oh my God, no wonder he was going to snap, he lacked any socialization because he was HOMESCHOOLED!!!" Was nice to see his parents charged today. I miss Lee. And JP. And Chris. And...
  3. How about whinning about ALL of the corporate jets that CEO's and the rich fly around in..... THEN I would have a problem with him flying in a private jet.. if you have the money.. go for it..is that not what America is all about??? Plus.. does he still have a security detail because of his former position?? As I said in my most recent post, he could easily pick a much more enviro-friendly corporate jet than the G-II which has much older, smokier engines that the newer models. I don't have a problem w/ corporate jets nor w/ CEOs and other execs flying in them. And if Gore needs to use one b/c of having a security detail, so be it. You've harped and harped on the hypocrites of the right for a long time. LIKE YOU, I have a problem with HYPOCRISY and he CLEARLY is a HYPOCRITE. I miss Lee. And JP. And Chris. And...
  4. reply]Is Al Gore going to fly to accept the award in that lovely enviro-friendly Gulfstream II that he is fond of? So I guess he should ride a bicycle from speaking engagement to home... sounds good to me.. what type of bicycle do you ride to work??? First of all, lawrocket did a damned good job of responding to Gore's hypocricy so I won't engage in redundancy especially since he said things so much better than I could anyway... Needless to say, there are many other choices that Gore could choose for his personal executive travel that are better for the environment that the G-II. Better yet, as lawrocket said, fly commercial. Second of all... it's a lame form of argumentation to resort to by asking me what sort of bicycle I ride to work, but I'll reply to you simply b/c as a "right wing extremist rePUBICan," well at least that is what you would incorrectly label as me based on most of my beliefs, I think you'd be surprised to hear what me and my family does to minimize our environmental inpact... I work from home 1/2 the time and I travel the other half. When I drive for work, it's in a small Honda. I don't take airline flights that are unnecessary. At home on our farm, we have taken steps to use biodiesel, even though the amount of fossil fuels we would normally use with our small tractor are neglegible. We are also working hard to impliment renewable energy sources at our farm (solar and wind) so that we no longer have to use propane and electricity. The only thing that hurts us on our "report card" for enviro-friendliness" is that our family-car is an SUV. That was chosen for it's rugged design, 4x4 capability since we live in a very remote area of the country now, and wanted to have something that had certain capabilities in inclement weather while transporting our children. When they come out w/ a more fuel-efficient SUV that can do what mine does, I'll gladly pay for it and stop driving this one. Are you satisfied Jeanne? I miss Lee. And JP. And Chris. And...

  9. what you're describing isn't per se the rhythym method... sounds more like NFP to me. big difference. I miss Lee. And JP. And Chris. And...
  10. And NFP is NOT the rhythym method. We've used NFP to both avoid conception AND conceive and it's been fabulously successful. No pills, no side effects, no awkward fumblings for condoms, better communication. I miss Lee. And JP. And Chris. And...

  15. I dunno... but I thought it was kinda funny... the way I heard it she was taking a pee and *PLOP* out came the uterus. I could see her yelling for her husband, "CLETUS, MY UTERUS FELL OUT AGAIN!", then trying to stuff it back in or putting it in a plastic bag or something while they went to the hospital. The whole thing just seemed a little comical to me. Don't get me wrong, I love the woman to death. She's a living saint. I don't mean to make fun of her. She has a great sense of humor and sees the rediculousness of one of her own organs falling out as well. I miss Lee. And JP. And Chris. And...
  16. What she's doing to her body is a helluva lot more natural than what many other women do by taken artificial birth control (with their known links to breast cancer, etc), and abortions, etc. But like you said it's HER body, not yours... So just leave it at that. My wife's grandmother had 12 kids. She just turned 90. She had a prolapsed uterus, but they just sewed the thing back up in there. She's perfectly happy and a wonderful woman. 12 kids, 55 grandkids, 70+ greatgrandkids and it goes up every month. Not one is any kind of addict. Not one divorce in the family. No one ever in jail. All of age have gone to college or trade school. That's what happens in families like these. I miss Lee. And JP. And Chris. And...
  17. It's commendable how some of you have a "live and let live" approach to this family's "choice" to have as a many children as they can. And it's deplorable how some others of you are so judgemental about it. My wife and I are dealing with this kind of bigotry right now. We're having our 5th child in December. And people, including my parents are just beside themselves about how irresponsible it is to have "so many" children, and they often use some of the same arguments that some of you use... what about the quality time for the parents... what about the money issue... overpopulation... blah blah blah... I tell you what... instead of making assumptions about how these kids must be worked too hard or must not have enough time w/ mommy or daddy or that mommy and daddy don't have enough time w/ each other, I challenge any of you to go meet some large families for yourself... families like these, whose faith is fervent, who home school their kids, who put God first, who live a self-reliant life... compare the life satisfaction of these kids to those of most others found in todays world that come from 1-2 kid homes, whose parents treat school and TV and video games as babysitters. Rate them on self-esteem, parent-child interaction, maturity, intelligence, altruism, ability to get along with other kids in their own age group AND in other age groups. I'll bet the kids from large families score higher in just about every single category. I've seen it in my kids and in just about every other large homeschooled family I've been around in the last 10 years. Then look at the parents... rate their marital satisfaction, their frequency of fights (or lack thereof), their level of intimacy and communication, their amount of time together, all these things against couples who purposely don't live this way. Again, I'm 100% positive you'll find that the marital satisfaction of the couples with large families is way off the charts. Now, I'm not saying that you must have a large family in order to have a happy family. Some families, like my own family of origin, are incapable, either physically, economically, psychologically... whatever. And in such cases, it's better NOT to have a large family IF there is something that will prevent the parents and/or children from realizing the full potential of what a family should be. However, what I am saying is that it is FAR easier for a family TO realize it's full happiness, to truly create outstanding human beings, when it is LARGE. Sacrifice, selflessness, giving, sharing, charity, friendship, communication, heroism, work, ethics, love, generousity, etc..... all these things just come easier in a large family. I miss Lee. And JP. And Chris. And...
