Awesome. I was looking online to see if anyone had looked at making a movie out of it. Follett says no, no plans for a movie / mini-series etc. It's so vast in scope w/ so many players and scenes that it would be hard to do... but Peter Jackson did Lord of the Rings so I guess just about anything is possible. you are correct... lots of press now b/c of oprah windbag. first thing i did was peel off her "oprah's book club" sticker when i bought it, but truth be told if it wasn't for her endorsement of the book, it wouldn't be on the stands again right now and it wouldn't have come to my attention. regardless, it's such a great read. i highly recommend it. it's got action, swords, violence, romance, spirituality, deceipt, rape, love making, kings and serfs, a witch, monks and priests, both good ones and corrupt ones, the martyrdom of thomas becket, the building of a grand gothic cathedral, shit i could go on forever. although it was super long, i didn't want it to end. I like that, but think it would be better if you just put "Be Rude not to!" or "It'd be rude not to". I don't think I ever heard him say the "would" in that phrase. Or it could just have Lee Gerrard and the dates on one side and Skinnyshrek on the other patch design I think....maybe a picture of Shrek under a canopy with a camera helmet on his head? Or in freefall shooting video, or jumping out of the plane for a hop & pop...something with an image of Shrek skydiving (with a camera helmet). I'm no artist though. Just some thoughts...
