The condescending part was your usual claim that since you used to be a couselor, no one else could possible understand human psychology. You do it all the time. - Dan G

Of course they do. My point is that there is another level of checks to prevent purely frivilous prosecution. - Dan G

That's what a grand jury is for. Although it is often a rubber stamp, the prosecutor can't proceed if the grand jury does not agree that there is sufficient evidence. - Dan G

I don't know if it is racist or not, but it's not true: From: http://www.usatoday.com/news/politics/story/2012-01-18/fact-check-gingrich-obama-food-stamps/52645882/1 - Dan G

I just assumed that how it was supposed to be done: insult, insult, insult, talk down to, complain of persucusion, insult, and then claim transcendence. Did I get the order wrong? - Dan G

And now the condescension. How about trying some Christ once in a while, and not just when it meshes with your carnal desires? - Dan G

I understand what your dad taught you. I guess I just don't understand why someone who so fevently proclaims the power of Christ isn't more interested in what his Father teaches. - Dan G

Judging by how people act here, I'm guessing it's to be condescending, angry, and insulting at every possible turn? - Dan G

I don't believe business capital investment is taxed as income. Maybe I'm wrong about that. Maybe I misunderstand you, but I think $0 is less than $250k. - Dan G -
Well, two of them were. Now the Afghans are doing it themselves, as a normal combat tactic, not a high value target assassination technique. Either way, my point about suicide tactics in Afghanistan spoke to the larger point that the Afghan war is fucked up in large part because of Iraq. The biggest reason was Bush ignoring the Afghan conflict because of Iraq. The spread of suicide tactics was another offshoot of the war in Iraq. - Dan G

Do you think that most start-up small businesspeople make more than $250k? And business taxes are not the same as personal income taxes. - Dan G -
Shit, we need to up our game. - Dan G

Nice try. It would behove you to learn a little about the region before acting like an expert. Massoud was not assassinated by Afghans. From the same Wiki page you took your quote: "The attackers claimed to be Belgians originally from Morocco. However, their passports turned out to be stolen and their nationality was later determined to be Tunisian." And, what about my welcome? - Dan G

I'll take a stab: Most new jobs and most innovation come from small busineses. Most small businesspeople, especially at new companies, are middle class. - Dan G -
Ok, Capt. Conflating-Different-Points, let me lay it out for you: Point 1: Obama has nothing to do with green on blue attacks. Point 2: Suicide tactics became prevalent in the Afghan war because of the Iraq war. Point 3 (for those who have trouble making their own conclusions): The Afghan war has dragged out for so long because we got distracted in Iraq. Furthermore, the Iraq war made the Afghan conflict worse, in part by bringing suicide tactics into play. - Dan G
-
What does that have to do with Obama? If you really must make this a Bush/Obama thing (and apparently you must) I can tell you that suicide attacks in Afghanistan didn't really happen until after the Iraq war was well established. Suicide was not part of the Afghan fighter's tactics until it became widely practiced in Iraq. If you want to make this about Bush/Obama, I could claim that the invasion of Iraq led to the adoption of suicide bombings in Afghanistan, which have proved to be the most effective tactic they have. - Dan G

My point is that he said he worked hard and suceeded while his lazy ass friends didn't. You tried to ascribe his work ethic to the fact that he grew up in the midwest. I was merely pointing out that his lazy ass friends also grew up in the midwest, so it seems unlikely that his region of upbringing had anything to do with his success. - Dan G
