I have and it's quite distressing to see the torment they go through so they will submit to commands for our entertainment. Richards My biggest handicap is that sometimes the hole in the front of my head operates a tad bit faster than the grey matter contained within.

Well for starters she is much easier on the eyes. That said she did so of her own free will. The elephant did not have a say in the matter. Don't get me wrong. I am not suggesting by any means that this is blatant cruelty. I just feel that it may be inflicting unneccessary discomfort. I am fine with the fact that humans have the right to use animals for survival purposes (food, clothing ...etc) but should we not show some constraint when dealing with animals. It is possible that the elephant enjoys being covered in paint but I doubt it. oh-oh. Were back to that again. Seems we already discussed this matter. http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?post=2435610;#2435610. Should I call you Dr. and make you feel better or will Professor suffice? Yes to Insurance. No to the others. I will get right on that. Richards My biggest handicap is that sometimes the hole in the front of my head operates a tad bit faster than the grey matter contained within.

Some folks like being tied to a bed while a dominatrix whips them. Can we safely asume that animals would not mind that? Richards My biggest handicap is that sometimes the hole in the front of my head operates a tad bit faster than the grey matter contained within.

I doubt that. Trained animals are abused from infancy to be afraid of humans. Most are not aware that they have the physical capacity to destroy us. Richards My biggest handicap is that sometimes the hole in the front of my head operates a tad bit faster than the grey matter contained within.

I am not woriied about humiliation as I doubt animals are prone to that. having had paint on my skin when painting I found that it could be uncomfortable. Imagine if you will, being covered over your entire body by paint or some other petroleum type product and walking around feeling it crack and dry, and stick. Richards My biggest handicap is that sometimes the hole in the front of my head operates a tad bit faster than the grey matter contained within.

I really felt that it might cause severe discomfort having all of his skin covered in paint. Also how will they remove it...turpentine? If you read most of my posts I am not a bleeding heart by any stretch but it does seem a bit abusive. While we may very well have "dominion over the animals" I think we can at least be sure not put undue stress on them. Apparently this is art. http://www.cnn.com/2006/US/09/17/painted.elephant.ap/index.html I think I have to go with the animal activists on this one. Should this sort of thing be allowed? Are you always this freindly or is it just that time of the month? Richards OK. Fine. I did not mean to offend anyone by aiming that specifically at union members as I obviously touched a chord with you. It was more of a reflection of our cultures attitude towards commemorative holidays (like that big drinking binge we have every year which has something to do with the birth of some guy that got pinned up on a cross thingy). That said I am not a huge union lover. I find them to be very frustrating to work with particularly in a mixed union/non-union environment. I have experienced the worst of the worst of workplace politics in heavily unionised workplaces. My experiences have been that in highly unionised workplaces, politics takes priority over effectiveness. I worked in one place (not the only unionised place I had problems in) that was heavily unionised and had several competing factions. It took me months to accomplish tasks that would have taken a week or two in other environments because I had to adhere to endless protocols like going to meeting after meeting, conceeding one thing to each other faction before I could proceed with even one miniscule part of my plans. It was so incredibly frustrating to take so long to get anything done because I had to properly stroke everyones petty childish ego for every little baby step I had to make. I was losing my mind because it seemed so obvious that there were more effective ways of doing things but I was not allowed to. In the former environment I had worked in I only occasionally had to ask permission to do anything and in most cases was given a free hand to get things done so long as the end result was satisfactory. I had a reputation of getting things done but I was not always a protocol guy so union environments were a nightmare because I did not know how to negotiate the petty ego minefeild. No actually. I have found them to be rather militant however. When I was a teenager and my father had opposed a major union ( I will not mention the union or his name) we did receive calls at all hours of the night with callers telling him that they knew where me and my sister went to school and that he had better stop speaking out about them (wonderfull example of proletariat love). By the way he had nothing to gain by standing up to them. As a senior member he would have gained had their demands been met but he took a position of principle (something they would have never understood) so they resorted to threats of violence to show that they stood for the common working man. I find your tendency to make these kind of comments peculiar. I have noticed by reading your posts that you like to attack people who you disagree with. I have only come into your gunsights once previously but I see you doing this to other people with alarming frequency. It seems that many different people of all different viewpoints make all different types of comments on this site and there are many heated disagreements. I have had several strong counterpoints to my opinions and comments, and I have always tried to put myself in the position of the other person even if he was attacking me. That said most people do not come on here trying to look for online fights or engage in personal attacks (like the coment about my sister). Unfortunately there is always some guy for whom being rude, arrogant and condescending makes him feel like the man that he isn't. Personal attacks on discussion forums help him harbour the illusion that he actually has a man sized phallus. You are a university professor and I should hope are not vulnerable to these inadequacy compensations. Do you act like this towards your students? Do you hide behind your title and demand that they address you as Doctor so you can use that as a shield to hide personal inadequacies behind? I do not mean offense but if this is the result of some sort of childhood neglect then you should seek professional help (absolutely no shame in that) and learn to enjoy conversing with your fellow human without turning everything into a game of one-upmanship (my mom can beat up your mom, my dick is bigger than yours...etc). Life is too short. Wishing you peace and happiness, Richards My biggest handicap is that sometimes the hole in the front of my head operates a tad bit faster than the grey matter contained within.

That depends on the motive for the black guy hitting you. Did he hit you because he waas just in a foul mood and was looking for trouble with anyone, or did he hit you because you were white? Furthermore you would want to factor in whether it was a one time incident by a guy who hates white people or if it is part of a pattern of racially motivated attacks on white people. Take out the word union and replace it with a word of your choice (employee, workforce...etc) and read the post in it's entirety. If you still cannot figure it out try reading my follow up post on the matter. I'm sure you can figure it out. Richards OK. Unfortunately if it becomes a national holiday (ie statuatory holiday) it will regrettably end up being a day at the beach. I hope that a dignified way of remembering can be allowed without it becoming simply another management perk. If it makes you happy then OK. The first step is admitting you have a problem. Remember, you are not a bad person....you have an illness My biggest handicap is that sometimes the hole in the front of my head operates a tad bit faster than the grey matter contained within.

What would you prefer to spend the next 40 years of your life doing? Money should not be the overriding factor. Don't know anything about beauty school (I'm to damned ugly), but the average B.Comm should prep you well for your CA/CPA/CGA/CMA or even CFA. One advantage to Business school is that if you find you actually don't like accounting there are several other majors you can try (Finance, Economics, HR,Management Science, Marketting, ITM) so you have many diverse routes to take. That said, if your passion is for Beauty School you should go with what you have a passion for. I'm sure you would but I won't tell you because it is you that needs to make this choice. I'm sure you will make the right decision for you. Cheers Richards My biggest handicap is that sometimes the hole in the front of my head operates a tad bit faster than the grey matter contained within.

I was not trying to attack people for wanting to have some time off as I place a high premium on having enough time to spend with family/freinds. Sorry if it came across that way. I simply hope that this does not become another McHoliday like so many others. Either try to catch him on video doing that, or next time respond with a real gun. Pellet guns are not merely harmless stingers. If a pellet hits the eyeball not only will it blind your son, it has the power to penetrate into the brain. Anyone who will randomly shoot at a kid is a worthless peice of filth and his passing would not be mourned by anyone who mattered. Good luck dealing with this clown.
