  1. Solitary confinement in a room at body temperature, no windows, no clock (let him wonder endlessly just how long he has been there), a toilet, an attached shower room and the same food put into a trough from outside the cell by gaurds who he does not see. Absolutely no reading material, or entertainment, no correspondence with anyone, and no communication with even the guards or prison administrators, and he can never step foot outside the cell. Constant video monitoring to prevent suicide. He can eat the same food, drink water and stare at walls 24 hours a day until he dies of old age. I know, too easy for the guy but i am just a big softy. Sad. Great dropzone and great people. Do you know what happenned by any chance? I have been out of the loop for a couple of years so I was caught somewhat by surprise. Will they be re-oppenning or is this permanent. Richards My biggest handicap is that sometimes the hole in the front of my head operates a tad bit faster than the grey matter contained within.

Enriches it. I loved the culture in Texas when I visited. Richards My biggest handicap is that sometimes the hole in the front of my head operates a tad bit faster than the grey matter contained within.

What happened to them? I looked for their website and it was down, I tried e-mailing and everything. Will they be re-openning? Are all the jumpers from there out at Pitt Meadows or Abbotsford now? Jumped there a couple of times but I mostly jumped in chilliwack. True but it is usually cloudy so we often found ourselves limitted to hop'n'pops. Amazing scenery though wioth all of the mountains. They kind of make you feel like you are not that high up. After jumping at FVSC for several years I did a couple of jumps at the markham skydiving centre just outside of Toronto. Without mountains it seemed like we were way higher than we actually were and i almost refused to beleive my altimeter. Kind of freaked me out since it was like we were in fucking orbit when on the jump run! Oh yeah. I forgot it has a large english population. that does not change the fact that I would not wish to live there without at least a basic understanding of french. Oops...My fuck-up. I would guess there is better jumping in BC as you can jump all year but in fairness I have never jumped in Quebec (gets to -25, -30 in Quebec). If you go out to chilliwack FVSC (my old dropzone) you are surrounded by mountains that almost seem to reach jump altitude . Downside is that it gets very cloudy and rains a lot. Due to cloud cover you sometimes are limitted to hop'n'pops and you become very creative at predicting when a hole in the cloud cover will be directly over the DZ for a precious few minutes. I presume you are aware that you will need to speak French if you go to Quebec, so unless you are proficient BC will be better. Incidentally does Concordia, McGill or Laval have have a better program than UBC or SFU for your discipline? If not then go to BC. The scenery is beautiful, the weather is great and the people are wonderfull. you can ski at Grouse while overlooking downtown vancouver. Whistler even has some skiing in the summer. 9. You cannot get into a controversial debate there and take an unpopular/un-politically correct without getting into a fight. It is quite amusing watching the crafty ways people can PA without technically violating the rule on that. Too many potentially good debates have gone downhill. 10. Went to one of their presentations when I was in school, presuming it was an actual job interview. Walked out shortly after it started. 11. I realise that these can kill but they still do not have the lethality of a real firearm. I would rather allow cops the opportunity to use a significantly less lethal means of force when they feel threatened, than leave them with only the firearm in that situation. If one of my family members had a mental disorder and they flew off with a knife or a club and threatened a cop, I would want the officer to have the means to protect himself without having to resort to shooting, even if that method did have a minor risk of fatality. It would beat seeing that person bleeding from multiple gunshot wounds. 14. [ rather embarrassing for her. It can happen to anyone, however it seems that with some people it happens so frequently that I feel they just can't be bothered. It's the ones who seem to make no effort to be courteous that offend most people. In particular, answering in class and talking while the professor lectures is blatantly rude. 15. Perhaps he couldn't stand that some other mans dickwas satisfying his wife. It would be worse if she said that it was soo much bigger than his previous appendage. 16. More to the point does he even have to answer it on the way out if he leaves? Will it kill him if he misses the call because he did not get out of the classroom on time to answer. Some will get up to leave but they do answer as they are leaving and talk as they exit and that is still unacceptable. Most cell-phones have call display, so if he misses the call while trying to exit the room quickly can he not simply call back? Unfortunately this behavior is becoming more common. 17. Source: Global Research Gosh, there sure are a lot of goofy college professors and scientists out there... I heard somewhere that Elvis is still alive and that space aliens killed JFK. No, really it's true...I swear. Richards My biggest handicap is that sometimes the hole in the front of my head operates a tad bit faster than the grey matter contained within.
  18. Sad but true. Unfortunatley the Student Union will probably rally behind the silly twat who lost his cell-phone and the likely result will be a policy to prevent professors from denying students their "fundamental human right of cell-phone in class" Richards My biggest handicap is that sometimes the hole in the front of my head operates a tad bit faster than the grey matter contained within.

  20. If that were true the guy should have stayed home. If it is really some emergency that requires him to have access during that class he could simply approach the professor in advance and explain the situation. I would not have handled it like that but hey. THere are too many assholes with cell-phones who show no consideration for anyone else. It is bad enough that some people cannot take a moment to turn it off before a class. Answering it in the lecture is so disrespectfull to the professor and the other students that he may as well have stood up and said "To my professor and fellow students...Fuck You! I live in my own self absorbed world and will act according to my whims. To those who are not able to follow the lecture because of my actions well.......too fucking bad!" I mean come-on! If he needs 24 hour a day communication then he is probably in a very important career (trauma surgeuon, hostage negotiator) and no longer needs to go to school. 21. Some students do bring video recorders to class particularly if the professor goes too fast for them to take down the notes. Richards My biggest handicap is that sometimes the hole in the front of my head operates a tad bit faster than the grey matter contained within.
  22. Check out this professors reaction to a cell-phone in his class. The best part is he doesn't miss a beat. I love it. http://break.com/index/professor_gets_mad_at_cell_phone.html WTF is wrong with people that they think it's OK to answer a cell-phone in class? 23. I was thinking of a rotary sander. Or, when they are done with him, just skin him and sell the ivory to recoup the cost of the "paint". EEEOOOOW!! You have an evil mind.
