  1. You mean 2004? There's people that argue that too. Here you go.....http://www.rollingstone.com/news/story/10432334/was_the_2004_election_stolen Here's some more interesting reading material for you regarding 2006 and before.........http://www.scoop.co.nz/stories/HL0610/S00377.htm But anyways....we're on to voting machines and opinions on electronic voting. My point was that when the Dems come out on the short end, then complaining and whining and excuses never seem to end. When the Repubs lose out, they move on.
  2. What have I said that would make you think I don't? Or is this another example of you thinking something about me, even though there is nothing to support it?
  3. Hypothetically speaking, of course. Or do you actually know the motivations of each voting member of Congress? I'm guess it's more of that broad brush.
  4. Sorry Bubba.. but I guess you dont read the weekly postings about how bad a job the Congress is doing ...posted by right wing posters But nobody is rehashing the events of November 7, 2006 over and over and over. DURRR
  5. Those would be the same 'elitists' that have MORE members in Congress that have served in the military, correct? I mean, you ARE talking about the Repubs there, right? Oddly enough, with all the Dems that are talking about how they 'support the troops', I've not seen any news reports about THEIR families rushing down to the recruiting stations... seems like it MIGHT just be endemic to politics as a whole and not just one 'side' or another. Ssssh!!! She's on a roll... ducking the main point with time tested redirects.
  6. If conservatives are whining and crying about it seven years after the fact, then feel free to do so. Those on the left need to GET OVER IT and MOVE ON!!! I wonder why we don't hear much about the 2006 election. The general mood among conservatives was "OUCH", "That really sucked"... "Okay, let's move on".
  7. It shows a pattern of" that boy just was not raised right" According to who? Your assertion about "wars of convenience and greed" is just simple nonsense. Saying that junior should volunteer because daddy voted "yeah" is more nonsense. It's pretty much a given that anyone who could get a deferment(sp?) or a prefered assignment during the 60s, especially after the war escalated, took full advantage of those options. How many Democrats in Congress voluntarily enlisted in the Army especially after 1965, when our involvement spiked as did anti-war sentiment? I notice you haven't offered anything to support your bullshit claims about me.
  8. KK's are "REAL" donuts - more like a waste of 2 grams of sugar and a bunch of air You sound bitter.
  9. Honestly, this just sounds like so much extremist rhetoric. Cowardism? WTF? Do you really think any politician who has not served in the military should not have a say in military matters? Considering fewer and fewer Washington politicians have this kind of experience, such a prerequisite could really hamstring us in the future. What does whether or not their children serve have to do with anything? It's completely irrelevant. Maybe it's because you dishonestly label me with that same broad brush. That's a big "if", which you frequently try to put on me, even though you have nothing to back it up with.
  10. What the... You guys have drive thru donut shops!?!? I have something completely new to be outraged about Donuts, alcohol, prescription drugs... we got it all.
  11. I'm an "apologist" who thinks it's a good idea for the Administration to skirt the law? How about producing a single post supporting this claim or admit it's just a malicious lie. My "cowardly new NEO CON world"? Again, how about producing a single post supporting this claim or admit it's just a malicious lie. It's one thing for people to disagree with my point of view. It's something completely different for people to make up bullshit claims about what is my point of view. I hope the distinction is not lost on you.
  12. I didn't hear the evidence so I have no basis for agreeing or disagreeing. Your posts about the Libby verdict give the impression this objective fair-minded position is one of convenience.
  13. I think you're confusing a general statement in The Declaration of Independence and The Constitution of the United States of America. The Constitution does not say anything about God-given (or being "endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable") rights.
  14. Prove it. Is this a little clearer for everyone? Can anyone prove this?
  15. Vote early and vote often.
  16. That is so true... I date people who can discuss things with me. I don't want someone who always agrees, because that would be boring, but I don't want someone who states absolutes and refuses to examine them either. I'm always willing to listen to a different opinion, and I'd like whoever I'm dating to grant me the same courtesy. absolutely. and i absolutely agree. Are you the same poster who consistently makes condescending, belittling remarks to others. You know, statements like: It's about practicing what you preach.
  17. That would never happen. Look at Iraq, it was led by an evil man, lots of killings, yet the country had a massive amount of guns owned by its citizens. Now, I know most on this site will now tell me that Americans are off course much braver and just all round better people than the average Iraqi.....but I still call bullshit. Your's is a crappy analogy about a highly unlikely premise.
  18. I've never seen a single post in this forum that would imply a desire for a right wing dictatorship. On the other hand some some around here regularly blather on about it actually becoming a reality. Seems obsessively paranoid to me.
  19. Actually, there is very strong archaelogical evidence that belief in a diety... evolved from honoring natural forces and physical objects sometime around 6,000 BC. Hey... that fits nicely with the Young Earth Creationism timeline.
  20. Oh. So you're taking a more lighthearted approach to these religious threads. What a refreshing change.
  21. You are not paying attention again now are you... What is the THREAD TITLE and what is posted by the OP???? Ooooooh How could I have missed the obviously implied connection.
  22. so... you're trip to the bait shop was a success?
