All the charges tossed out? I think that is wishful thinking on your part. Judge Priest denied DeLay's motion to dismiss the charges of money laundering and conspiracy to engage in money laundering, and the prosecution is proceeding on those charges (to the best of my knowledge). Way to misunderstand my post, sport. Classic Kallend. I try this again. What to you think about all those charges against Delay that were tossed out?... That the system works?

I scanned the link from guncite and found nothing about the 2nd Amendment being about a God-given right. Perhaps you could quote a relevant excerpt. On a different note, I did read: This little nugget kind of runs counter to the frequent retort about "Those Who Sacrifice Liberty For Security Deserve Neither"

You should have posted up back in May, when this was being discussed. http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?do=post_view_flat;post=2822831;page=1;sb=post_latest_reply;so=ASC;mh=25;

I would like to tell you a bit more about God

How about "Obstreperousness"? I do not like Green Eggs and Ham! -
Wow. It's been brought up out of the 287,000 posts in SC. Yeah, it's obviously going mainstream. Maybe I read it wrong, but it certainly seemed like he was making a general statement, which would typically have exceptions. So climate models do a good job of "describing the clouds, the dust, the chemistry and the biology of fields and farms and forests",... and factoring these variables into their conclusions?
-
How about you providing a link??? I'd like to read where the drafters of the Constitution asserted that our Second Amendment rights are God-given.

Religious people don't date non-religious people
NCclimber replied to CanuckInUSA's topic in Speakers Corner
Yeah, yeah, yeah... I agree that people shouldn't be so open-minded that their brain falls out of their head. My contention is that many of your posts are smug, mocking, self-righteous and/or condescending. In other words, if someone says something you disagree with, you tend to throw in a few gratuitous cheap shots. You say you're open-minded, but your posts demonstrate a certain close-mindedness. -
Gonzales is a slimeball, but I don't second guess juries So you're perfectly comfortable passing judgement in rather strong terms on persons's who have not actually been charged of any wrongdoing, but if they've been prosecuted, then it's hands off on disagreeing with the outcome??? This one's way on up there on the irony scale. LOL What to you think about all those charges against Delay getting tossed out?... That the system works?

Wow. You really have to paying attention to the fringe groups to hear this kind of stuff. Sounds like Westboro Baptist versio of GW sceptics. Not completely. Do you agree with his claim "that all the fuss about global warming is grossly exaggerated"? That the climate models "do not begin to describe the real world that we live in"?
-
Ummm - you wrote: "Your posts about the Libby verdict give the impression this objective fair-minded position is one of convenience." So why suddenly switch to Gonzales? Convenience. Your right it was convenient. I went looking for posts of Libby and found you being very vocal about Gonzalez, which went to my previous point about you selectively reserving judgement.
-
Maybe on Monday you can explain which God-given rights are "codified in our constitution and bill of rights". I'm all for the Constitution, but I don't think there's any mention of (or reference to) God-given rights in that document.
-
Here's a fine example of you reserving judgement for Gonzalez. I'll see if I can find something as nonjudgemental about Libby. http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?post=2883989#2883989

Now if you meant "rightwinger" literally, that would be offensive. By the way, just because prejudicial stereotypes are used against someone outside of an off-limits "underclass" group, their use are still displays of bigotry.
-
Oh I almost forgot about a new favorite, that's gaining steam fast... APOLOGIST!
-
You left out "ULTRA RIGHTIE", my personal favorite. There's also "Lush Rimjob" and "Denier", not to mention the numerous Hitler/Nazi analogies. That old premise that the righties are the close-minded bigots (read: prone to use dishonest stereotypes) and the lefties are open-minded and tolerant of differing viewpoints is looking more and more like so much tripe.

I wonder who rolls it out most often? A little less than half as often as the Neo Con label gets bandied about and a little more than Chicken Hawk gets used.

That's what I said in the very next sentence. The one you neglected to quote. Next thing you know, he'll be claiming you're intentionally misunderstanding him. -
Putting the onus on another for one of your pet ploys. Well played. How convenient that you didn't address any of my points about the actual topic we were discussing. What happened? Did you finally realize that you were completely wrong?
-
I didn't hear the evidence so I have no basis for agreeing or disagreeing. Your posts about the Libby verdict give the impression this objective fair-minded position is one of convenience. I agree with the concept of trial by jury as being the fairest method available to us. Both Libby and Padilla received fair trials, I believe. I have no reason to challenge the juries' verdicts based on my own factual knowledge of either case. While what you same say makes perfect sense, I can't help wondering why you choose to remain "above the fray" on this one, when you obviously willing to offer up opinions (with equally limited knowledge) on other topics.

What specific rights are you talking about? We can agree that the Declaration of Independence addressed certain God-given rights. They who? The signers of the Declaration of Independence were by and large a different group of men from those who ratified the Constitution. What God-given rights are "codified in our constitution and bill of rights"? Specifically? No. And I don't consider it a God-given right. The Declaration and the Constitution are two completely separate documents that serve(d) two completely different purposes. I can't help thinking you're just trolling. This is all pretty laughable.
-
Spot on, eh Bill? Are "life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness" addressed in the Constitution?
-
EXCEPT when the apologists stike when ever one of their scumbag hypocrites gets caught with his hands in the Gay jar... or the young page jar.. or the K street Jar... or the contractor kickback on governemnt contracts jar... after PREACHING to us all about the evils of said actions for years.....then they roll out the Clinton Blow Job to say neener neener Dems have scandals too... Are we still talking about elections?
-
You liberals and your inconvienient outdated documents... wsheesh.... All power and rights are derived from the corporations and the politicians that are bought and paid for by said corporations. Its a brave new neo con world..... didnt you get the appropriate memos?? Earth to Amazon.. Earth to Amazon.. Come in, Amazon.
-
What "God-given rights" are specifically addressed in the Bill of Rights? Please provide direct quotes.

Perhaps you can show me those threads complaining about the outcome of the 1992 and 1996 elections.
