  1. Come on.. with your internet stalking skills you should be able to find it... Oh, you want me to show that you've over-inflated your undeniably impressive accomplishments? Did you know that 371 Kilometers per hour is about 230 MPH... which is a good deal slower than 300 MPH? Did you know that?
  2. Have what? Surpassed 300 MPH in a freefall? I call bullshit!!! Prove me wrong.
  3. Well played. I saw a show on it recently. It detailed how meth was an epidemic in the Northwest, while the rest of the country was basically in the dark... and that it's now a nationwide problem. Definitely some bad, bad stuff that quickly destroys lives.
  4. When you put it all together - staring through the crack in the stall door for two minutes, the foot tapping and touching the foot of someone in another stall - it's pretty hard to argue that it was merely a series of coincidences.
  5. You mean the "Combat Methamphetamine Epidemic Act of 2005", that was passed by a Republican controlled House and signed into law by President George W. Bush?
  6. No kidding. I always thought organized crime in the US started about 40 years before Prohibition began.
  7. You underestimate yourself.
  8. Yeah... and his brother has been accused of pimping out his underage girlfriend. Is that a "cultural" thing, too?
  9. I call it a good start. One down; Two to go. One down? So Rove didn't count?
  10. You do realize that, by and large, the negative posts that come your way are simply return volleys. Playing the innocent victim just doesn't cut it. On a different note, I found this on the net a while back. Is that about you? Warm soul? Inviting nature? Love of all people?
  11. Why not make fines a combination of a fixed rate and a percentage of a person's income or wealth. Time - prison time - is a great equalizer, but when it comes to fines, they don't really impact the wealthy like they do the average person.
  12. Don't you go frettin' now. I'm sure some of the "Big Bang is fact" types will have a conclusive explanation in no time.
  13. What "things" have I called you? Well, there was "You sound like a six year old brat." (5/2/2007) Oh that's sweet. I'm sure she'll be so pleased you digging through the threads for her.
  14. Wow. It's interesting how you seem to intentionally miss the point. Pointing out that other countries have mass exoduses for various reasons doesn't change the fact that the overwhelming majority of South Vietnamese who left the country after the fall of Saigon, did so to get away from the North Vietnamese. Again - it's like talking to a box of rocks. How many of the fleeing Vietnamese were part of the 2 million who died in the Killing Fields. How many of the "boat people" died? Where did you get such a low number? Do you really think a free-for-all would result in only 6000 deaths?
  15. Well, there's this: http://www.dartcenter.org/dartaward/2002/hm3/01.html Excluding all those who fled Vietnam after we left seems a bit disingenuous. How about looking at it this way - How many Vietnamese died as a result of our departure?
  16. I agree. Seems like the same principles could apply to civil debate, as well. Or life in general.
  17. Are you saying that the public should know about every part of these elected officials lives? Seems like having every part of their official duties being put under a microscope is enough.
  18. If you were as perceptive as you like to think, you would not have needed to ask for more recent examples, since you would already have seen them for yourself. Since I don't read (and fully recall) every single post made in Speakers Corner, this means I'm not as perceptive as (you think) I think I am? LOL
  19. But that's only part of the picture. What happens if we withdraw a.s.a.p.? As I see it, this is our mess. If we walk away, the consequences with be monumental and long term. And yes, I'm aware of the costs of remaining. I'm just not sure what course of action is for the best.
