  1. I knew that there was a reason you show so much deep thought and intelligence in your posts! I bet you have the ability to read minds too....
  2. Great.... The day after my birthday, and I'll be hung over...
  3. I practiced drawing blood on myself. _________________________________________________ VAMPIRE!!!
  4. If you don't get anything for your money, get with the other homeowners and vote it out of existance. This can be done with a lot of associations, but there are some that don't alllow this. Depends on your contract.
  5. We had this debate recently with our association. We have 50 lots/homes in our association. We maintain our own roads, the entrances, and the common areas. Our fees are $200.00 per year. When a home is built, or a lot is purchased, there are restrictions- No chicken or hog farms, no dirt bikes, minimum 1800 sfla, etc. The association uses the monies to keep up the roadways, pay for insurance for the roadways and common areas, and to obtain the help of an attorney when needed. Everyone is provided with the financial numbers at the end of the year. They also make sure that everyone complies with the restrictions. I swore that I would never live in a place with an association, but this one has worked very well. I got on the board to make sure that they don't go crazy. It is a thankless job. You wouldn't believe what people try and get away with, or complain about. I like the idea that the rednecks in my family can't pull a trailer up next door to me though
  6. I've been shot, stabbed, and beaten with a stick, and never passed out, but if I watch em sticking in a needle taking my blood, I'll face plant in mere seconds.
  7. Let me preface what I'm about to say with, I don't have an AAD. If I were a DZO, I would make them mandatory. It's your choice whether you turn them on or not. I can't imagine the psyhcological effect of watching people lose their lives when a passive devise may have meant saving it. How much is one life worth? Does having an AAD take away from the thrill of the sport? Banning hook turns would. I believe that they're different issues. I've used several excuses to not buy and install an AAD. I probably have listened more to the "con" side than any other, but the truth is that I just didn't want to spend the money "right now". $1400 is a lot of $20 jumps. I may not have many jumps, but I do have enough to know that things happen very quickly in this sport. I consider myself to be a fast thinker, and calmer, and cooler than a lot of people in high stress situations, but after reading what everyone has written, I'm just being plain dumb for not spending the money and picking up that little bit of insurance that may save my life. I'm getting an AAD.
  8. Forty is tough for me. I really started analysing my life and discovered that the big house, tons of toys, and great job just don't mean as much. It's like I achieved my goals and still felt empty. I went through a period of depression and lost about twenty pounds. It was a good thing for me because I started to really pay attention to how much people and friends really meant. I also got off my ass and decided to enjoy each and every day. I'm in excellent health and have made some awesome friends since I started skydiving. I started my life over and love every damn minute of it too...Another ones coming up in June, and I'm ready for it!
  9. I had someone say close to the same thing to me a couple of months ago. I was in a bar and my closing pin necklace popped out of my shirt when I was at the juke box. This AH asked if it was an Italian horn, and I explained what it was. His statement was birdshit and dumb asses. I told him that I'd rather go my way, than at the wrong end of an angry sheep and I thought his face was going to split open....I left peacefully before too much liquid courage was consumed by all.
  10. My father asked me once what you do if you can see a women's breasts from the back when she's walking. I asked what, and he said MARRY HER! For me, I prefer a nice full "C", but that goes out the window on a case by case basis.
  11. …or dead lifting at the gym when there are hot females around. It's hard to keep a straight face after you're grunting the weight up and veins are popping out of you beat red face, forehead and neck, only to rip an enormous POOOOOOOOOOOT... POOT... POOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOT... and it stinks real bad from all the protein and supplements you've taken in conjunction with the 4way chili... the look of the poor girls’ face with their wrinkled noses and squinting eyes is just too unbearable to not bust out in uncontrollable laughter. Was this your outcome as well? NSFW or Anybody really. You just won a prize. You're the first person to post something that has ever made me gag.
  12. Something that has been difficult for me to learn, is that I do not have a right to draw a line with regard to how far someone else goes in the use, or misuse of their rights. I guess that it's the grey areas that keep us free, and changing. I still think that most liberals just need a good ole fashion beating though
  13. Unless that is, someone's feelings get hurt, or you say "coon", instead of "conda"... ________________________________________ I don't think, those fellas who set-up this country had in mind, being able to say 'anything' without being accountable for the words that come out of our mouths. I don't think they intended for someone to tell the 'president to go fuck himself', just because someone dis-agreed with the president. I believe, the idea was for us to be 'responsible' in regard to our rights. I think, a lot of it has been 'twisted' to 'fit-in' with someone's agenda. Chuck When I was growing up, it was called "bad manners" and I got my butt beat for it. Basic respect and common courtesy for our fellow humans would go a long way... ------------------------------------------------------- I think, a lot of it has been 'twisted' to 'fit-in' with someone's agenda. ------------------------------------------------------- So true!
  14. Forgetting, of course, that nearly everything in this world is interdependent. Wendy W. This is actually one of the most profound statements I have read in SC.
  15. _____________________________________ All that, without accountability or responsibility! We, have 'freedom of speech'! Chuck Unless that is, someone's feelings get hurt, or you say "coon", instead of "conda"...
  16. The country changed when we discovered that being able to eat, support our families, and take a vacation once a year just wasn't quit enough to satisfy us. This is the year 2006 and we want it all baby! The right to say anything without retribution (as long as it isn't about a subject that we personally consider to be politically incorrect). The right to say that we're being discriminated against (even if we don't have the same qualifications as everyone else). The right to burn the American flag (just because we hate America, even though we live here). The right to work and live in this country (even if we are doing it illegally). The right to be ashamed when one of our brothers or sisters waves the flag with passion. The right to complain about the government, and then never do anything to change it. The right to be a sheep. It isn't just us -vs- them, it's us-vs-us-vs-them-vs-us.
  17. Welcome to Z-Hills! I look forward to having a beer with you.
  18. Agreed. How do you stop them? Everyone wears a George Orwell mask everytime they leave the house. That should fuck with their facial recognition program. This actually appeals to me. If you really want to fuck with them though, we should all wear turbans! I wonder if they make em with Harley logos????
  19. Thirteen years old with Marlene who was sixteen. We were in a horse pasture in the middle of the summer. I can still remember the sucking sounds that your stomachs makes when parting. I can also remember her father pointing a gun at my head when I started sneeking up to her window at night.
  20. Hey! Next you'll be attacking my lingerie collection
  21. The vet says that their mouth is cleaner than ours I have a stigma. I use to date a girl that had a german shepard. My dad came over one time when she was there, leaned over and said "you know boy, she probably french kisses that dog". I've been traumatized ever since...
  22. Yuck! Do you ever watch what they lick??? You know you love your dog when you here them crying, and crawl under the shed to get them un-stuck wearing a new suit.
  23. seems like they are overstepping a little to me, yeah? Agreed. How do you stop them?
  24. Gardenias...because they smell awesome, and orange blossoms. I go out at night when they bloom and the entire planet smells nice.
  25. I'm with you. Not drinking is too easy (for me). Start a no smoking thread and I'll be there. Even make it interesting by having a penalty. Let's say...who ever fails has to buy a jump ticket at one of the winners home DZ's. Skymama can hold a simple raffle for those who make it to see who and how many get a free jump.
