Is Cabo still D license required?
grimmie replied to pajaritoprime's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
It is a D only DZ. But in all truth, you need an OK from them to jump even with a D. The beach landing is tight and landings outside of the area cause a lot of problems for them with the local "officials". It's a 99.999% tandem DZ only. -
Four. But I am WAY too young and good looking to be in this suspect group of dinosaurs.

WOW! Go KINGS GO!!!!! What a game!

Rich Winstock Swoop Incident Cover-Up
grimmie replied to skydived19006's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Yeah, but I think that increases the media frenzy, not decreases it. People don't watch news for news nowadays. They watch news for blown-out-of-proportion drama... Silly viewers, they should just log on here for blown out of proportion drama -
Rich Winstock Swoop Incident Cover-Up
grimmie replied to skydived19006's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
umm, wasn't "allseeingeye" defending the USPA president and calling out Stratostar? Geez these threads stay so on topic -
It was a "Who's Who" of amazing skydivers in the crowd...and me and Remi

Last night there was a great celebration of the Airspeed teams. I can't believe it has been 20 years since Mark, Jack, Dan, Kirk and John started the team. There were a LOT of skydivers from around the globe and many DZ.com folks there in a packed room to celebrate their achievements. What a hell of a fun night!

Rich Winstock Swoop Incident Cover-Up

My favorite is when one BOD DZO tried to deny nearby airport access to another BOD DZO. I might have to start an entire new thread -

The Tea Party and GOP is loving the Benghazi "scandal". They are making money off of it for their campaign financing. Look at the stock market, the economy and housing. That Muslim is the worst Socialist in history. Questioning a wounded veteran's loyalty is a pretty cheap shot, even by Allen West standards. Carry on.

Tonalist is waiting for him. I hope CC wins, his trainer, Art Sherman, is a great guy. Horse racing needs a new TC winner to boost the sport.

Yeah, those kids in 1980 should have surrendered to the Ruskies before the game

Sometimes an incident like that can rally an already strong team. The Kings had to be tired against the Hawks yesterday. I look for a much better game two. Go KINGS GO!

They are this bunch of dickheads. https://www.facebook.com/silvertip.skydivers Send them a message. And I use that term with great admiration and affection

Incidents and lessons to be learned
grimmie replied to phantomII's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
You can show people hundreds of youtube videos of people crashing from speeding, drunk driving and texting, but they will still do it all, because it would/could never happen to them. -
It seems the Kings of the Cup win are back.
-
And now on to the KINGS!!!! The Guppies have no heart. So many power plays squandered. Skybytch is divorcing the Sharks I think,

I was trying to think of what Rudy came back from????

Eike Hohenadl passes at Eloy today 4-25-14
grimmie replied to MissBuffDiver's topic in Blue Skies - In Memory Of
Eike was a class act. He was soft spoken and very kind. He would jump with anyone, anytime. He did more demos, wing suit jumps and just plain old fun jumps than someone a third of his age. His passing leaves a big gap in the SoCal, POPS, SOS world. Fly Free my friend... -
Judge training course...

June Bug is in Orange County. I'll get you her info when you come in and jump next -
The Kings really stunk it up last night. The Blues caught the Hawks protecting a lead. The Wild collapsed. Patrick Roy has magic hockey dust or something, he has those guys playing great. Flyers are voodoo jinxed at the Garden.

P3 and the future of big ways in America
grimmie replied to mirage62's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Many of the long time WT members discussed retiring along with BJ. Skydive Chicago seems like a great place for someone to step up and start holding Midwest/East coast events.
