I took out the Canadian flag at the Canuckian Nationals many moons ago. They put this Yank in the stocks. Poured all kinds of crap all over my head. I started singing O Canada. They let me out. It actually made the Canadian nightly national news. Not much goes on up there ya know, eh. All that hockey watching over the years finally paid off. Aphid has it on youtube I think. Maybe he'll post it here for your enjoyment.

Question for USPA instructional rating holders
grimmie replied to peek's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
The A license now requires that candidates complete the USPA-developed 40-question written A-license exam. For students with partially completed A-license cards going into 2015, simply add a line for the written test score and instructor initials. There is no need to start over with a new A-license card. Do I win beer?? -
Something i hope and think we all agree on, The ISIS
grimmie replied to Darius11's topic in Speakers Corner
I think ISIS may be the one factor that brings a little unity to the Middle East for a short while. The US can't take them out alone. Hopefully the rest of the Arab world will get pissed off enough to help eradicate them, and other terror groups. -
Everyone here in San Diego is excited we're getting an AHL team. This should be fun. I'm sad that the Ontario Reign will be going AHL however. Their team owner is a friend of mine and we held some great charity games there. Hopefully the Kings will allow us to do the same.

Excellent! Wish I could make it.

How to know when its time to downsize
grimmie replied to Brad2's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Thanks. Now I have coffee all over my keyboard. -
This information is only available when the aircraft in question is using air traffic services or when under ATC control. An aircraft out sightseeing or just exercising the privilege of flight will NOT show up on FlightAware or similar. Jon Edit to add... When ADSB becomes mandatory more of the aircraft will be "trackable" but still not all. There will be a number of aircraft flying outside or under where ADSB is required who will not show up. I track plenty of GA planes with ADS-B out capability. Not that I expect to see many JUMP planes getting upgraded till 2019. Most jump planes at a larger DZ operate under a letter of agreement with ATC. They get a set beacon code and show up on the trackers on every flight.

A really good guy. I had the pleasure of jumping with him many, many times. Fly free my friend...

My condolences to you and your fellow countrymen and women.

You young guys crack me up. Wait for cool that guy dude to go in, then swoop his awesome gear, car AND hot chick. Do us old guys have to show you everything??? On a serious note. I am thinking about banning music on all loads at my dz. It's a distraction and safety hazard, IMHO. carry on.

Agreed. Domi looked incredible. BUT.... how do go from a lead of 5-1, and close out with a squeaker at 5-4? It's easy and you let up. Then the wave comes crashing down on your team and it's hard to keep it going.

The finals of the World Jrs was pretty crazy fun! Congrats Canada.

Mid season. How do you like your team's performances so far? Who's the biggest surprise of the season as a player and a team?
-
They don't rent gear and they only let very experienced skydivers jump.

The Blue Hole is a World Heritage Site. You need permission from the government to skydive into it. If you land on the surrounding coral, you can be fined up to $25,000. It's also not a jump to just do if you haven't been out there before. And if you landed on the coral, got fined and the GOB shut it down for jumping, I would have to kill you.
