    Something jumpers don't think about also is...where are you bailing out. If I'm at my DZ, we have a couple of 200' hills off of the west end of the runway. If I'm at Lost Prairie there are 1,800 foot hills lurking. Skydive Arizona or somewhere flat like that. No worries. Be alert to what you fly over in case the spinny thing stops.

    The Blue Hole videos have been hit a lot. Many folks want to do a tandem into it. We're selling a very high end action vacation package, not unlike the Mt. Everest or South Pole excursions.

    The only time the public cares is if you are bringing a drop zone to their home town. Then the mayor and city council and local residents become 'highly concerned".

    Call the USPA. They will give you all of the info needed for jumping at a towered airport. Brown Field in San Diego handles various Navy teams and a tandem operation landing off site. Their tower is excellent handling jumpers, but the manager is a skydiver. A rare exception to the rule.

    The Blue Hole skydives were conducted during the Belize boogies. The LZ we used for the boogie is no longer large enough to safely use. No Boogie, no Blue Hole jumps. Since Belize we have been to Nicaragua, Cabo, Palau and a soon to be disclosed new destination for 2015.

    This is an attempt by the DA's office to make them an example, and discourage future BASE attempts in the city. It looks pretty bad when the government spends trillions of dollars keeping America safe from the boogeyman, and a couple of young skydivers get off of objects, especially the newest and shiniest one in their "highly secure" city sigh...

    The look on Lundqvist's face when Carter scored with 0.8 seconds remaining tells the story. He is deflated, and so is the team. He knows they could be up 2-1. He knows this may be his last chance at Lord Stanley's hardware. In other news, the Pens fire Shero and Bylsma and hire a GM that has been in charge of a non playoff team. Sigh...

    Tandems only there from 8,000 feet seven miles from the airport. You have some great choices in SoCal. Perris, Elsinore, Tsunami and Taft.
