  1. LOL you mean Henny's sensor system? We've been using those sensors for 1 1/2 yrs here now, they are much easier and much more accurate than humans and/or video. But I don't understand why the vertical came up later (if I understand you correctly): those sensors have horns on them so you know right away. ciel bleu, Saskia
  2. my ignorance, but what does 'verticalling' mean? There's entry gates for the course, and for some rounds also gates set along the course. If you fly higher than those gates you get the maximum (minimum) score. ciel bleu, Saskia
  3. Yeah, the 2nd biggest in The Netherlands, Teuge! Between Apeldoorn and Deventer. ciel bleu, Saskia
  4. Ok, so how do you pack a partial walkthrough without noticing it? Would being very very tired work ? You can't flake the canopy... But the steering lines would be free I suppose (don't have a rig here to try). Anyway the video is here: http://www.12000ft.com/video/kevin.wmv Just discovered I don't really like Windows Moviemaker ciel bleu, Saskia
  5. The 3day weekend includes the friday newbies seminar, held at friday evening (just like usual)... Doesn't mean that there will not be some birds friday after work though ciel bleu, Saskia
  6. What do you mean by walkthrough? I know a steptrough but not a walkthough. BTW I had this chute packed, the last packjob of the day by a very very tired packer (he admitted to me later). Oh well, serves me right I suppose... ciel bleu, Saskia
  7. Yikes! I'm afraid of heights LOL. Great shot! Who made that shot? And how? ciel bleu, Saskia
  8. In 2003 I cutaway what I thought at the time was a lineover, on a borrowed Sabre 135. I was wearing my camera helmet because it was a special jump from a dakota and I gave the tape to the guy who made the movie for everybody, so I didn't really look at it at the time. I just found the tape again, wanting to make a small movie from my reserve ride. But, this doesn't look like a lineover to me now? Maybe the pilot chute/bridle is wrapped around some c/d lines? Anyway I opened at 4k, was open at 4k (ouch), and cutaway fairly high after taking a look at the canopy thinking I might try to fix it for a bit, was reaching for the rear risers (w/brakes still stowed), but then it started turning and I didn't think anymore just acted Of course this was just after my reserve repack, which explains me swearing a bit Don't have the movie yet BTW, Premiere won't let me capture at the moment ciel bleu, Saskia
  9. Spectre 135, hybrid Triathlon 120, also I own a Triathlon 135 but it doesn't fit in my rig ciel bleu, Saskia
  10. The thing is, if it is an older jump the profile will be gone. So there's not that much to see, no graph anyway. The Neptune only saves the last couple profiles, about ten I think but it depends on what you've been doing: it can save less birdman jumps than low hop&pops. I'd have liked the one jump to be the LAST but that would not help sell the software I suppose... The software is okay, a couple things I'd like to see ironed out, but it is workable... The graphs are really nice since it saves a bit from the plane and also the entire canopy ride, so if I jumped the neptune you see 2 peaks under canopy which is me flying my circuit, and for a swooper you get the one high peak. Neat... I can easily tell if it was Henny or me jumping it
  11. If it's a non-registered neptune all you'll get is the first (!) jump on that neptune anyway ciel bleu, Saskia
  12. LOL this is me, I needed some pics because my sister thought the pics of me wearing a camera suit were birdman pics She thought THOSE were big wings Also a small pic of me flying over the city of Apeldoorn. ciel bleu, Saskia
  13. Kodak does photo cd's but that's not cheap! I'd take Quade's idea one step further: buy a decent scanner and get some kids to do it for them cheap It's a hassle, my dad quickly gave up on it as did I. What I'm doing now is sorting tons of slides for somebody else, and putting only the best ones on photo cd. He trusts me to pick the best ones ciel bleu, Saskia
  14. I was trying to take pics in a swimming pool this weekend and was having trouble with the lighting, when I put the white balance to "auto" (having tried every other setting for WB) it worked
  15. You can take the side bits of one size and the top bit of another. ciel bleu, Saskia
  16. If you ask europeans, they say reversed risers are fine. If you ask americans, they say they are not. Just generalizing an itty bit here ciel bleu, Saskia
  17. 1 out of 3.... yeah thanx a lot There's been some re-arranging of the various "weekends" mainy because of some people who just fly on their heads And this weekend will be another no-weekend at Teuge due to a lack of airplanes that don't leak I want the JMP ba-hack!!! ciel bleu, Saskia
  18. And a change of plans: the april weekend is now 15-17 ciel bleu, Saskia
  19. You know, I'm pretty sure I've seen this exact same ad before on ebay! ciel bleu, Saskia
  20. Hmmm for some reason I put the wrong date on the flyer for the september weekend, it should be 23-25 september. ciel bleu, Saskia
  21. We even have one as a student canopy. Like I said, dunno if they really come down fast, never heard any other complaints about them, maybe the one your buddy had was just worn out? ciel bleu, Saskia
  22. I have no idea. A couple of jumpers jump them at my DZ but I only jumped a 220 (I think) once, for a fun SL jump because my rig wasn't packed yet, but the WL was next to nothing. OK I have strange ideas of fun sometimes LOL. But what if it is trimmed steeply? A Sabre is, and my Spectre is... ciel bleu, Saskia
  23. Some appropriate canopies: 7cells: Spectre, Triathlon, Synergy, Omega 9cells: Sabre, Sabre2, Pilot, Safire, Safire2, Merit, Electra, Hornet, Silhouette, ZP Exe ciel bleu, Saskia
  24. Took my 300D and Henny's D100 up in the Hercs at World Team 2004 a couple of times. One time I forgot to switch the microdrive for a cf card. It has been at 23k for quite a while (the planes stay that high for some time, by the time we landed the jumpers were packed). But it still works. That was careless and I'm not going to do that again, and I'm DEFINATELY not jumping with the microdrive. Anyone wants a 1GB microdrive? ciel bleu, Saskia
  25. Well my new camera helmet is ready so I can take digital pics now too ciel bleu, Saskia
