  1. Anything is possible....time (and needing to pay the rent in the meantime) make it another thing.. We're currently working on another (similar) project, which will add a lot of knowledge, skills and experience to the programming work Martijn is doing, and also help with the funds that will make Volo what it strives to be..... 2. Cool video....nicely shot.. From a story pov. I expected you to go back home, and crawl into bed or pass out in front of the TV with a beer. The landing with which you currently end, seems to miss 'what happened the rest of the day' JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  3. Police captured 2 main suspects by the name of Stephane Z, Robert P, and is currently questioning them for more information... JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  4. No difference in flying. Its more of a silk underwear vs army briefs....it just 'feels' different, but both do the job. I use parapak on demos and student suits, zero-p on my own. JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  5. Not sure what 'flaps like crazy' you're talking about? Ive seen about 20 hours of V3/V4 footage in the edits I do, and have seem some ripples going over the inflated wing, but 'flapping'. Not really. There will always be some vibrations in wingsuit fabric. Sometimes even wild flapping (which Ive seen for every manufacturer at certain points, especially in some more recent suits with changed arm inlets designs for one). That aside...this project is on a temp. hold due to a more portable/smaller thing we're working on first to get something of the ground faster.... JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  6. Durability is one difference. The parapak will behave better when it comes to wear and tear. In terms of weight, especially on the bigger suits, the difference between parapak and Zero-P can add up. Though for some a difference of 200 to 400 gram isnt much, hiking up a mountain for a few hours, any weight you can save helps. In terms of drag, parapak has a bit more drag than the smoother Zero-P material. Though its probably something thats more allong the lines of only a few percent, for some its a big thing. In terms of movement, the fabric is a bit more sturdy and rough. Zero-P is a bit smoother to move around in. I have two Shadows, one my own (ZeroP) and one demo (Parapak) and to me the ZeroP one is what I prefer in terms of 'feel'. Though that may more be a personal preference than an actual difference between the two... Parapak allows for very stick embroidery etc. where in ZeroP embroidery tends to weaken/pre-score the material. JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  7. Not packing for sure...never had issues with other containers. As well as packers (the few times I did use em) showing the same bulging sides slightly sliding out of line from where they should be. Canopywise the container could also take a size bigger if needed. I mostly ment to say, as nice as 'wingsuit mods' are. As long as a container has a nice fit for the canopies inside, most 'simpler' modifications to pilotchute/bridle/bag are already more than most people need. JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  8. Rig and poor choice in colors aside you mean? Noop. They look nice. But I have seen people with rigs with cut corners (probably varies per rig design and depends on size of canopies inside as well) that have a tendency to bulge/sag out sideways. With the side-flaps sliding outward a bit. Making the rig sag. At least it was something I noticed on mine. When looking at modifying a rig, for better openings, I would take it in steps. - Pilotchute/Bridle being quick/easy fixes - Stowless bag or variation on those an easy second - Cutting the rig/corners, a late third if the first two didnt do the trick. That aside, a strong pull and good symetrical body position also helps.. JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  9. Ive jumped a wings container for 3 years. Mine with open corners held next to the container of my buddy without open corners (same size/model/mains etc) showed the bottom always sagged out a bit on the sides compared to the normal one. That aside..dont think there is any real need for open corners. The pilotchute, bridle length and bag orientation seem to be the biggest factor when it comes to clean openings.. 10. Aside from a container thats not too tight, I dont think anything over a good length bridle and decent sized pilotchute (big on large suits) is needed. Stowless bags help with better deployments (less tumbling). But the cut corners (especially when fully open) mostly make a rig pack very ugly... JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  11. Instead of youtube, go for Vimeo. Upload a low-quality (SD) clip directly after the jump (small filesize) and later replace the clip (something which Vimeo allows, youtube doesnt) with the high-res version. It also allows the costumer to embed the video etc, download the source file (if you want them to be able to) etc. JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  12. You didnt get the hint at sarcasm? Meaning you'll most likely see more of your reserve than most people JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  13. S-Fly Expert....even visable/readable on the binding tape in the trailers already JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  14. Ive got quite a few jumps on Sabre1 (using my GF's canopy/rig) without any issues, on full flight openings or normal slow-down-and-drop deployments. Also know several people jumping one with WS without problems...some swear by a certain canopy, others hate it....for me, the Sabre1 isnt my ideal canopy, but certainly one dont mind jumping. For more info on the subject check here as well.. JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  15. As Gabor also sais, not everyone has the same 2000 to 10.000 jumps as other 'examples' of people that use those canopies on wingsuit jumps. Aside from a choice of canopies being clever, I also see certain people fly 2 inches from the ground in a wingsuit. Doesnt mean everyone should do so or would be capable of doing so. Every canopy CAN be used with a wingsuit. But not every canopy is the most ideal choice one can make. Robert Peknic jumped an Atair Radical 95 as a wingsuit canopy. Currently he upsized and changed to a PD Storm 135. Some canopies can be fun to fly, but treat you like their bitch on opening. For some people the (short) flying fun is worth the hassle. For some that type of fun wears of after a while, and solid, on-heading, predictable and comfortable openings are the new 'fun'. Jumping a suit where 'you can reach your risers' I think has little to do with what canopy you choose as a main. EVERY suit allows you to do a normal cutaway and reserve pull without needing to unzip or reach. Its only the reserve where the ability to reach up while in a spin, without lifting knees (which doesnt work on 90% of the 'sleeve' system suits, also visable in the constant redesigns, topics on clothing selection etc, and some manufacturers choosing to keep a functional cutaway aside of such features). Jump whatever size and make main you want. Selecting your reserve of a size and make you trust during any type of opening is a more important aspect. As well as a rigger who gives you a discount on repack if you have to chop your main again With 2 years in the sport, and most likely not thousands of jumps, I would advise to go for a moderate and known canopy as your choice for wingsuit flying... 16. With most people only just starting to fly the V4, its similar to Apache, Manta results etc. in Paralog PPC. Few people are jumping it, so not many scores yet. But V4 speeds (on basejumps I edit) show exactly the same timing/speed in terms of flight speed as the V3 jumps. Only higher lines. Compared to the Venom, there is a noticable difference in higher forward speed. JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  17. And Frode cleaned up the World Base Race in the V4! Congrats on winning every heat AND smashing the track record! All Vampire podiuml... JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?

  19. Sadly weather didnt cooperate for full-altitude jumps with my FlySight, but did get to have some V4 fun on a last hop&pop at the end of the day, exiting just below cloud ceiling. Check it out YouTube JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?

Congrats on being first to fly through a waterfall btw Take it as a joke, but these journalist seem to be using the same interpetation methods for your stories, as you seem to use for GPS data JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
