I would actualy pay to see the dumbass who would try this A paintball will explode on your skin and leave a nasty blue/black/purple mark, but it will go straight THROUGH your canopy. Imagine shooting someone from 12K to 3K, and hitting his canopy half of the time. He'll come down with a modified canopy with airvents in the topskin, botton skin, sides, ports...airvents EVERYWHERE.. Got the Crosswind DVD in the mail last week. It looks sharp as hell, cool as shit, and the extra's are way cool (although framed in a wierd blue edge thingy, while I would have prefered full-screen) But watching the film last night, I noticed that they changed the music in two of three segements (and also seem to have changed a few shots to match the new music) Most noticeble, the second flyboys© segment (headdown with yellow smoke). Because of the different music (to me) the segment seems to have lost a lot of the power. Anyone else who shares this oppinion? And any idea's as to why to music was changed? I think it was copyright issue's, since a lot of the music REALY resembles well know music...such as MI:2/limp biskit for the HP-landings under the roman bridge, and orbital/petrol...(just listen to these tracks) JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?

I realy hope to work at www.Pixar.com someday (and move to the USA for better jumping), and they are under Disney contract. But after Finding Nemo, they'll only be doing one more film under the Disney contract, and then (because of fights with disney) they'll move to another producer... I needed new batteries for my pro-dytter, and didn't have time to go to a gear-store before heading of to the DZ tomorrow-morning. So I grabbed my dytter, and just walked to the local jewelery store, a few streets from my home. He asks for the type, so I read the type of batteries on the back of the dytter (never put new ones in before) and behold!!! They have them....So I ask for two, and the guy asks if he should put em in (sure...if it's free.....saves me from looking for a screw-driver when I get back home). So I hand him the dytter, and he examines it. He goes into the back with a puzzled look on his face, and comes back a minute later. I check to see if it has power and put it in my pocket again. The guy is looking at me, and REALY wants to ask what it is, but somehow can't get himself to do so. So I pay the batteries, and say "thanx, have a nice weekend..." and turn around...(usualy I'm quite the pimp when it comes to showing o as 'a cool skydiver', but this time there was now showing off, I just needed batteries, that's all.

Cross your legs, and both grab each others left hand (so you can see your alti in front of you) and one sticks his right hand out to the side and the other one sticks it out back... It will start spinning in ways you can't imagine. Over the top, sideways, you name it. A couple of weeks ago, a student exited before me (practicing his tracking), and instead of doing it away from the line of flight, he was tracking towards me. Thank god his tracking sucked, and I spotted him early. There was a 10 second interval between his exit and mine, but he's a small floaty person. Exit was a 9000 ft....around 4000 ft I spotted a small dot beneath me, moving directly towards/below me. I cursed a bit, turned 90 degrees and tracked away.... We had a talk lateron, and he realised what he had done, and had gotten quite a scare when he saw me go by a couple of hundred meters further away while he was opening... People doing solo stuff (students tracking, or people learning sit/headdown) can go all over the sky...if you don't trust someone..wait longer, and keep an eye out for them in freefall... I love the Moody Blues...I grew up on their music. It's Base jump birdman. Actualy...in Tombraider, you see them run in birdman-suits (HOW?), then do the exit from the building in a simulair color (normal) jumpsuit. If you could manage to put both clips online as a good quality MPG of DIVX, I could try and convert them to an anaglyph (red/green or blue/red) video for you, and upload it to skydivingmovies.com or so? I've already done this a dozen or so times with 3D animations. I use Adobe After Effects to do so. I convert both video's to black and white, and then turn one red the other green (european system, US uses blue/red), and then, I overlay one clip over the other at 50%. The only problem with video like this is that both camera's need to have the same focal point. If one of the camera's is a few inches off, it gives you a cross-eyed/pain in your head viewing :) JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?

Do make sure that everyone knows who's inside and who's outside. Otherwise it will just be a big mess with bodies everywhere, and no way to tell up from down.
