    The original skyray is not that big, and a skydiver wearing one on his back can easely fit into a medium sized jumpplane. The gliderplane Felix was hanging underneath almost didn't fit through the door of a skyvan. Unless you always want to pay for 3 slots in a skyvan, there's not much practical use for that me thinks... JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?

    Can't a few wingsuiters get together and do a flock-dive across the channel (like the dutch Texel>Den Helder crossing in holland, that Jari and a few other guys did a while back) and promote wingsuits that way, and also trash felix by saying that they where using their body as a wing, and not a glider strapped to their backs...     I saw Jurassic Parc, and as I watched those dinosaurs roam across the screen (the brachiosaurus scene) I just instantly knew THAT was what I wanted to do, so I went to graphic school, studied hard at home, and found a good job as an animator.     I would love to take up high-diving (you know, diving from a board/plank into a swimmingpool). Being able to do 2 flips/corks and who knows what when jumping from a diving board would kick ass...I can manage a single frontflip of backflip (with the occasional landing on my back:) but having real diving skills would kick ass. One of the girls at my DZ used to do this (next to trampoline jumping), and she can pull of style-shit at subterminal that I can only dream off :) She's only been doing freeftyle for about a year, and yet, she already became 1st in the dutch nationals last year...     One of the best shots I ever saw was from the Petronas Twin towers. A nice video from inside the building, looking out over the city. It just looks like a normal scene, and suddenly a jumper falls by the window. But in general, if it's about good video. Try getting some nice steady shots, instead of the rough shaking video you normaly see....makes it look cool and professional... JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?

    I didn't mean your post....never ment to offend you or anyone else for that matter.. I was mentioning the "If you've ever touched and dared to even shoot a paintball gun, you'd know.." one or two posts up. Felt like a bit of a low blow....dunno..maybe it's just me... I know a kick or a blow won't damage a canopy, but a paintball has a higher speed then a foot, and a smaller surface....if small marbles shot away from/with an elastic band can make a clean hole through a piece of thick glas, and (as mentioned before) a small falling water-balloon CAN puncture a parachute (that was lying on the grass). I have no actual info on the force of impact from a paintball, but I would just prefer to test it before anyone tried it for real..(and I know it's not gonna happen, but stil...just 'asuming' something is not always a good idea) JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?

    One of the JM's at our DZ brings his 5 year old son every once in a while. The boy is everyones favorite. He's completely mad about skydiving, and even wants to do a tandem, but his father (a tandem-master:) won't allow him because he thinks it's inresponsible.. But if yo saw the fire in the eyes of the kid when he walks around the DZ, you would definately be tempted to take him up

    It's just that I've seen a canopy get a nice big hole it from a silly (small)water balloon, that was dropped from about 200 ft. The canopy was lying on the floor (grass) so maybe it's the hard surface underneath, but I'd test it on an old canopy before you try it up there.. Never expected a frustrated 'your a pussy' answer for just making a safety point? JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
