  2. V I D E O = U P L O A D JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  3. Wankers! Wankers have quite an active right(or left)arm...no sense in calling them lazy? JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  4. Try clicking the link on top of this thread...lazy people JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  5. Converting always sucks.. With Premiere Pro it's luckely become easyer to convert NTSC footage to PAL en vice-versa (due to added frame-blending) but before that time that used to be after-effects hell But still, with AfterEffects you get nicer results...so next time I get NTSC footage (Deuce..next time use a PAL camera when you come to a EU boogie) I'll probably take the slow and painfull route again... But glad to hear it worked saskia....I can't wait to see your edit (I gues it's the same material that hans used? Or any cool extra stuff we missed?) JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  6. I'm afraid that driving the 150 km to my DZ with a wing on my back, constantly trying to lift me of my bike would not be real comfy But probably great fun if you accidently let go of the handlebars... Also, I've sadly not had any real luck finding cliffs in Holland JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  7. 3 of them in a Porter would definitely be a pain in the butt.... And fitting one of those babies in my gearbag for the motor-cycle-drive to the DZ would also suck.. I gues that's why we saw Felix driving around on top of a Porsche-roof He just didnt fit inside JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  8. I'll have what you're having.... JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  9. Saskia...check your mail! JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  10. Noice!! If only I hadn't lent my S3 to some toothless flyer..and I had won the lotery...then I would have been there.. Looks like Im missing out on all the fun *snif* I'll be there next time...but sadly can't make it this weekend. Tomorrows weather-forecast is looking damn good...so make a ton of good jumps..and (saskia) post more of those purrrrrdy pictures and get your ass onto editing and uploading asap after the weekend... I still need to wait 2 weeks untill I get to fly again...(but wil be flying for 10 days straight...summer boogieee) JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  11. Wow...what DZ are you jumping? I think (especialy with new 'rivaling' products) the container and canopy market are completely the same... There's always someone with brand X canopy, trashing someone with brand Y canpopy cause he knew a guy who had a sister who dated this one guy who knew someone that flew that canopy and screwed up on landing, so the brand Y canopy sucks and his canopy is great, cause he has already had 5 standup landings in a row.. 12. I used to have 'slippery cables' on my first few jumps. I think I was shaking and bending the whole mess a bit to much, wiggling in onto my hot sexy body. When I changed the way I suited up, that dissapeared. Maybe you did the opposite....developed any new 'handy' ways of suiting up recently and thus mess with your cables? 13. No...but when you're on a video forum, you might take a wild gues that that's what most people DO use their computer for. Most debates in here about Mac/PC's end up in people claiming 'their' prefered platform is better....and what I'm saying is that If you've used both...you'll know that both are 100% workable solutions...and it doesn't matter WHICH one you use. Creativity is not in the platform...it's in the user.. I'm not putting Macs OR PC's down..... I'm just saying that both Mac/PC 'advocates' need to broaden their severely limited vision and see that there is more stuff out there that works besides their own precious toys... Their strong point of view on the subject is not always based on strong knowledge about what else is out there... Fighting windmills.... JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  14. Umm, the strongest Mac advocates I know are techs and network administrators. That is EXCACTLY what I sayd.....they don't use their system for actual work...creativity.....making something...(no offense) All they do is tinker with settings and IP adresses... I love tech people...we'd be nowhere without them... But most 'creative' people, that actualy put systems to good use.....most I know really don't give a rats ass if they are editing on a Mac or PC. Aside from personal taste..there's not much a pc or mac does better then one or another in terms of graphic work... It's mostly tech-nerds that care...and that start yelling that this and that is better because other tech-nerds also say so.. But you proved my point...thanx JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  15. I really like handcams, but think that the shots you make with them vary between realy cool and amazing, up to making a passenger look completely rediculous (a wide-angle lens stuck up your nose at 200 km/h is not always the most romantic view you'll get from a person) I would love to give a handcam a spin on a few birdman-jumps If a TM is offering a Handcam video, does that also include him filming the whole pre-jump briefing and stuff? Cause that seems like hard...splitting his attention...doing double duties on both briefing the student and shooting video..? JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  16. There should be a 'backlighting' button on your camera. Probably a symbol that looks like a small sun in a square..or just the word 'backlighting' This chances the camera to pick up the dark area's in your shot. It works quite nice when filming tandems in 'muddy' weather. But if the sun suddenly appears (like exiting above the clouds) it can turn the well-lit shots into brightly overlit ones.. So try and see where you have backlighting or not... JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  17. Altavista Translation and a nice photo Any chances at seeing the video online somewhere? JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  18. I'll bite....hahaha Try getting into 3D animation... Alias Wavefront, 3DS MAX, Lightwave, Maya....available on almost every platform....but no Apple... And before you start screaming 'maya' Maya was only recently FINALY ported to Mac..after being around for over 10 years already ....with few to no people actualy using it on a Mac) so in that department...yea...Macs are the looser.. But in terms of editing....or whatever other purpoise you can think of... If I hook up a normal mouse (instead of that idiotic 1 button thing of which some people actualy think it is handy) then I realy don't care where I'm working...Mac or PC...both work 100% fine, no crashes..and I use both A LOT. It's not 'hip' to say you're a Mac user...and it's not 'hip' to say you're a PC user If you have valid reasons (cost? hate bill gates? hate those IMac commercials?)....but most people don't have any... It's mostly people that don't actualy USE their system for anyting else but runing their OS and talking about it, that get prety upset and fierce about this crap...and that IS funny JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  19. I asked the friendly people....it wasn't available anymore..imagine how cool I would have looked...pink with purple dots... But I gues I can start looking for a new helmet.... JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  20. Just on a funny side note I think we're coming close 50% of al subjects being 'wil somebody land a wingsuit now or ever' Threads/Posts with the word LANDING in the subject line JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  21. I've had a Sidewinder helmet for quite a while, and made over 200 happy camera-jumps with it. But a few weeks ago, the shabby small hinge on the camera-cover (that had me doubting if I should replace it ever since I had the camera....gues I should have) gave out on a jump, and uppon flipping over to film a tandem-opening, I also saw the cover of my precious helmet disappear into the lovely sky above me (and never managed to find it again...we were jumping in gale-force winds...so it could have gone anywhere) Luckely my camera is so snug in there it stayed put (it's not screwed down or anything...only held by the cover, and an elastic band inside....glad it stayed there
  22. From the limited info I have I understand it's for a commercial feature/television film. JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  23. I think he's developing a winged surface, that can be attached to the jumper witn lines. But neatly packed and stowed away on the back, so it doesn't temper with wingsuit-flight. Uppon closing in on the ground, the extra winged surface wil emerge from the backpack, and will give the wingsuiter the extra lift and flair needed to land! Why hasn't anyone thought of this before...!!! JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  24. I was already wondering why nobody posted on this when I read this in the news section on bird-man.com Looks like a great read, and cant wait to get my greedy little hands on one! JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  25. Same thing here...when he spread his wings and exited that..(see the film)....I couldn't help but feel 2 things.... 1. This is soo G*DDAMNED COOL!! 2. (looking around in the crowd)...I'm the only one of you poor bastards who actualy knows for a bit how that must feel! JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
