  1. Mine took slighly under 4 weeks...(but it was in winter..not at the start of the season, when everybody is ordering new toys) JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  2. - You have a constant feeling 'something is wrong' or 'you're forgetting something' when you're on the way up to altitude on a freefly jump (not feeling restricted in your movements wearing a wingsuit) - on that same freefly jump, directly after opening you want to unzip armwings and booties that are not there - Even on normal trackingdives you analize your Protrack/Neptune data to see if you've reached sub 80 mph speeds at any point in the jump - You can spend an entire evening with a fellow bird (or boring a non-wingsuiter) talking about glide-angles, L/D ratios, and distances flown and fallrates - On a commercial flight, you are constaly looking out the window, trying to judge just how far you could fly in your wingsuit from that point. 3. After June/Juli I dont have any other holidays planned, and definately hope to attend more EU flocking weekends.. The visuals above the Swiss mountains must be amazing... Have fun you guys! JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  4. I just uploaded a new video. Some experiments in camerawork, a few funky flybys and lots of long flights and fun playing in the air. Check it out! (and take special notice of the wonderfull barrelroll-to-inverted-rodeo technique Costyn invented!) http://www.skydivingmovies.com/ver2/pafiledb.php?action=file&id=3829 JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  5. Awesome photo's..wish I could have stayed a few days longer JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  6. I know Andy Ford has done some filming for them a while ago (filming another jumper, outside camera, swooping into a driving car), there's a good chance he's involved in filming again? Andy? JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  7. When I left there yesterday it was turning real windy and cloudy, but Empuria is one of those places where it can be pretty sh*tty one day, and clear blue skies and no wind at all the next day... So there's always a good chance at getting a few jumps in if you just wait around... And otherwise, go to the Decathlon store, and buy a kite...awesome fun to be had with those on the beach while you wait for the winds to die down JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  8. I think David (Haygarth) should be there already as well.. Have fun guys! Wish I could have stayed longer... JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  9. Heyhey! Just wanted to thank all the girls and guys who came to Empuria for a lot of fun in the skies. We have a lot of awesome photo's, and made many wonderfull jumps I'll try and post some of the pictures David (and I) took, later this week, when I get back from a small German adventure for work (sadly missing the PF weekend, starting tomorrow) A few days where winded out, but we managed to make 23 jumps in total (in just 2 + 2 half jumpable days) which was wonderfull. The 3 days we spent waiting for the winds to die down, where spent really well in bars and restaurants around town (Captains Cabin+drinks+UK/NL wingsuiters=awesome..) and having a lot of good times in the surrounding towns and beaches with our new turbo-kites The last day was by far the best one, flying all over the town of Empuria, out to the beach, and just cruising over the heavenly blue seas. Just after a short weather-break in the afternoon, where many people left the DZ calling it 'suicidal', which was just laughable, as just 30 minutes later we where in the airplane with AFF level 1 and 2 students on a nearly empty dropzone. 3 nearly back to back loads followed, completing the whole weekend with one of the coolest sunsetloads I could think off. There where many incredle jumps throughout the week, but the 3d part of the video which I'll also post later this week will probably say more then I could put down here in a thousand words... Nothing but awesome times, and a lot of new friends. Patrice, Luke, David, Dimitri, David and the lovely Renata, Simon, Anouk etc. It was a wonderfull week...hope to see you guys and girls again soon! We'll be back here in about 3 weeks...! 11. I've just uploaded a few more photo's Patrice took. If you look in my ftp directory at http://home.kabelfoon.nl/~fxcordia/photo/04_april/ all the images with Empuria in the name are from tuesday/wednesday. Today was sh*tty weather in terms of wind, so we took a lame boat-ride around the Empuria canals and spent a few hours trying to find a store that sells kites JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  12. Fixed it for ya! Sorry i couldn't be there, looks good! . Sorry, no santa-hats on top of Jeffrey-crap in the street this time...he couldnt come along JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  13. There's about 7 flockers here and we're having a great time (just winded out at the moment..so time for breakfast, email, talking crapand editing video) http://home.kabelfoon.nl/~fxcordia/photo/04_april/empuria_ws_2way.jpg Jarno and Costyn holding hands (kinda gay...) http://home.kabelfoon.nl/~fxcordia/photo/04_april/empuria_ws_3way.jpg Costyn, Ross (no, not the one from Friends) and Jarno on a 3 way http://home.kabelfoon.nl/~fxcordia/photo/04_april/empuria_ws_smile.jpg And more backflying With a bit of luck we'll post some video tonight (including our Xtreme wingsuit swamp survival adventures) Cyaaaa JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  14. Those look awesome. I love the sunset-lighting on these shots! And david..looking forward to seeing you in Empuria in a few days JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  15. Tristan was commenting earlyer on his inlets/deflectors being closed/shut...it was just my redneck guestemate as to why It not something I've seen upclose.. I think thats the reason why you are designing good wingsuits and and both Tristan and I are not (and shouldnt) JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  16. I think the old smaller deflectors (shouldnt they be called 'attachers', as they seem to attach wind to the wing, rather then deflecting it?) tend to just be blown flat onto the wing. The newer deflectors have a stifner in them that makes sure they stay open. If you could find a way to also keep them open? There's no rigging like home rigging
  17. There's a sh*tload of Dutch people dropping by...who else is coming JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  18. Ahh 007, I'm glad you could join us... Thats me after a sniff of the barmaid towel that is! I hope you lot have a great weekend! . Too bad I'm missing this one :) I'll probably be at nethers next weekend though if anyone wants to make a few fun hops JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  19. Seeing how tall (or short) most Chinese people are it could be the difference between fitting in a 16 way or a 20 way for them, while us Dutch guys would be happy to fit in a 4 way JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  20. This video has some timelaps shots at the end, shot with a regular DV camera (the last minute or so) http://www.skydivingmovies.com/ver2/pafiledb.php?action=file&id=3385&string=empuria The advantage of speeding your footage up in post (with an editing/compositing program that supports frame-blending) is that you loose the jerky moves that timelaps quite often gives you (basicaly creating very long exposure times, because all the frames are overlayed onto each other, instead of thrown away) Older versions of premiere (4.2) have a timelaps and stop-motion capture setting, that you could also use to capture your timelaps footage directly to a computer...(not a method I use..just a feature I'm sad they didnt include in the newer versions) JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  21. They invented PM buttons for this kind of stuff... JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  22. The only one of those that I would know to be true is the 'other side of the river landing' and I seem to remember you standing next to me on that one.. JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  23. Cant someone with good ethics and lots of jumps, still be the most dangerous fool you could ever jump with? JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  24. Ive made a video with Darrens protrack data overlayed (which is great for analizing what he's doing) and he was in the high 70s...he flew that baby pretty well.. This, along with our skate-adventures wil be online soon.. JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
