Only one more day untill we're off to the island! Next to the whole UK gang (Andy Ford etc) flying in from the UK (caravan jump-in) to Texel with the Island boogie there will be a bunch of guys from Holland and Belgium and a few other countries joining in. Just a few names. Alejandro Lopez Tristan Costyn Hans Marius Roel Jari Toomas (and GF) There's probably more people dropping by over the 3/4 day weekend, but so far it looks like we have about 15 to 20 birds there... See you all friday on load #1!! (or thursday-evening in the bar) JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?

Next to our 'European' behaviour, there was also an good amount of incredible flying.. Not to distract from the actual event itself (and draw some attention away from the photos Costyn posted). Here is another great picture Mark Harris took. Click here JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete? -

Here they are, the two village idiots of the boogie. -
I seem to hear them talk about 4.0 glide-ratios, and they seemed to use a tandem-like setup in terms of the parachute. After deployment, the wing detached, and ended up hanging underneath the jumpers. They looked like alternate versions of Buzz Lightyear... JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?

If there are two 19 year old (dont know their real age, but in my fantasy world they are 19) hot, chicks, dressed in wingsuits, stripping down, drenching themselves with vodka and food, dancing like you'd normaly only see on pay-per-view channels on stage....WHO CARES!! They could be truck drivers or dentists....THEY ARE HOT NAKED STRIPPERS WITH WINGSUITS...! Need I say more? Anyone not living in his moms basement would give an eye and a kidney to watch this show... Its almost 4:00 Am, and we just got back home (we being me and some Aussi Rocket that I picked up along the way) The jumps we made at the boogie were just amazing. Rolf, Scott, Jari and James did an incredible job organising everything from small 2 to 3 ways with beginners, up to a HUGE 49 way and ofcourse, the big 70way Guinness Record (which was flown in 4 squadrons of wingsuiters, all flying in the same direction with seperate squadron-leaders, smoke, camerflyers..the whole shizzle!) And Mark Harris, David Haygart, James (and a few other flyers who's name I cant seem to remember at the moment) did an amazing job filming and photographing everything. http://home.kabelfoon.nl/~fxcordia/photo/07_july/an72_bigway.jpg The view from the ground was incredible (from what people told us). And the crowds completely went mad! The sheer number of birdmen walking around the dropzone was daunting...the RW people must have felt like the way we normaly feel. Squeezing in the front of the plane, taking up 5 to 10 slots on loads with 60 people in tight nylon and wings There where 3 groups beginners, intermediate and the more experienced guys, and the fantastic organising coached everyone to the more experienced group, and bigger and tighter formations over the whole week... Next to the Wingsuit record, the tandem record was also reeeal close to being broken. With a few seconds determining if they made it or not (still no answer on that one, but more news from Guiness soon hopefully) Just a short list of people to thank - Rolf, Scott, James, Jari, Jens, Wolf and Freidel for organising. - The fantastic group of people who sacrificed their own personal holidays to make it happen (running the bar, manifest etc) - The strippers (GOD!! THE STRIPPERS!!!!)...two HOT girls getting naked, stripping from wingsuits is THE hottest thing to ever be seen on stage... - The AN72 pilots...giving us 15 to 18K on almost every jump (all but one of the bigway flocks were over 2 minutes!) and also ending the boogie by giving us a last load, even though there were only 25 people to fill it. ANNNND racing a motorcycle on the runway on takeoff (motorbike beat it by a mile..but definately the most incredible takeoff all of us ever experienced!! - Mark, for showing us some of the sickest camera-flying all of us have ever witnessed - The rest of the UK gang, for reuniting me with my long lost evill twin brother..Mecca....DUDE!! LOVE YA MAN!!! And there's about 200 more lines of thank you's and horrible stories I could post here..but this man needs some sleep... More people will probably post stories and pictures here when they get home tomorrow and the day after. And lots of video is also coming your way.... For now..there's only one thing left to say... Ja!!! FOK JAAA!!! JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete? -
Hercules Boogie 2004 "Wingsuit edition" online
mccordia replied to mccordia's topic in Wing Suit Flying
Almost 2 years ago, I made the 'wingsuit edition' DVD for the Swedish Hercules Boogie 2004. The trailer for the DVD has been online for quite a while at skydivingmovies.com I promised to put the whole thing online, but never got round to taking the time to properly compress and upload the video. But today finaly marked the day where I sat down, ripped my own DVD (is that copyright violation?) and converted it to .wmv for those interested in watching. What will this video offer? High speed exits from the Hercules. Vesa outclimbing every wingsuiter on the planet, Andy Ford topping that of with earobatic exits, wingsuit bigways from a time where 'Z-Flock' was just the way French people called a wingsuit formation, and a HUGE foam-party, where people with eagle-eyes will be able to spot quite a few DZ.com-ers in positions nobody wants to be seen in (besides Perry, who was naked almost every night and didnt seem to bother) Enjoy watching this video. With special thanks to Perry, who generously offered me a box of DV tapes to copy the 10 hours of footage from all the different camera-flyers at the boogie. And J-Lo who offered me his PC (and house) for quite a few days when I was editing this beast :) Camera flyers (in alphabetical order): Jean-Louis 'J-lo' Becker, Hans Berggren, Jarno COrdia, Andy Ford, Juge Heikkila, John Kelly, Petri Lehtinen, Craig Poxon, Marius Poll, Fredrik Tengbom, Vesa Toropainen, Niels Verhoef, Bo Weinberg. Additional ground footage: Tore Lindheim, Anders Helgesson Download it now at skydivingmovies.com JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete? -
Werner made his first flight just a few weeks ago at the PCMN wingsuit day, with many people commenting on how well he flew the classic he borrowed. His wife got him a GTi, and he's been flying it full on since then. The only problem he had was to come down to other people (I remember having trouble staying up with other people when I started) and also get a bit more forward speed. So we did a few jumps past weekend, focussing on faster fallrates and more forward speed/flying at a different angle of attack. Things like flying next to him, and then racing ahead and Werner having to catch up with me again. Great practice..and he did really well.. Because Werner was chasing me for most part of the 3 jumps we made, theres not a whole lot of video. But I threw a few bits at exit and breakoff together (with a flyby past a TI who begged me to come and say 'hi') for a short 1 minute vid... Enjoy.. Check it out *edit* Its online and approved..yay!*edit* JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?

Take the end of a US extention cord, then go to any EU shop, and buy the cheepest $1 radio or alarmclock (with electrical cord) you can get and cut off the cord. Fix your US plug to the other side, et voila (thats french) JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
