  1. Awesome work on getting that on the air! A really great change from Real-TV showing the usual bad demo-landing and AFF student pulling his cutaway pad in freefall. Hope you get the budget to turn this into a solid show/segment! (ps. do put some english transcriptions for us online if you get a chance) JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  2. Cool videos.. But MAaaaaan...people accuse me of going overboard on filters sometimes...this video solves ALL my problems! JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  3. Do the wings also have zippers on the outside, so it can be used as a body bag..? JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  4. I know a basejumper who has done this on a wingsuit jump in switserland... That was some nice footage... You mean Gino's video? That was looking for a (lost/missed)hackey and bending over forward in the process.. Not really related to any balance issues of any suit or the current subject I think... 5. Jari is also planning on running a BMI course at the start of the week for those interested. More info on that later. JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  6. And its usualy those same 'I had too little experience and was ok..' people that come back here and tell everyone the'll be ok... sure it might be fine, but I just dont see why people want to be such lazy biatches...just make those few extra jumps..and I say FEW...as 200 jumps to anyone serious about either skydiving or base, those should be numbers they ramp up pretty quick if they are at all serious about their sport... skydiving 'can' actually be fun.... and dont forget to smile.. 7. I also remember reading an article about wingsuits a while ago, which claimed Loic had been the first one that landed a wingsuit. press people are funny.. JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  8. What an idiot.. Everybody knows it McGuyver..! JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  9. Get a tandemrating and a hot small girl that knows how to fly a wingsuit really well!? JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?

I noticed the rigid ribs ad a lot stability, and prevent the wing collapsing during weird rolls/turns, especialy with high speed dives/flight and when you're doing a lot of 'aeroatic' style flying. And it adds a lot of stabilty and takes away of lot of flapping issues with backflying. My only gripe with mylar was with the 'packing' of my wingsuit. And depending on the batch of mylar used in your suit, some tend to break fast (though my S3S is still like its new, no breaks at all) But with the newer materials being used, those mylar issues are luckely a thing of the past... 11. I think you're the only one desperately coming off as a fanboy here luke Turning a discussion on how something flies into a brand-related thing again.. As for
  12. A question I had...I I think you're the guy to ask Robi, is whats the best avg glide thats been recorded/measured so far? As most often, we see stats from skydives, and its 2 minute+ jumps, where fatige is influencing the performance quite a lot.. On shorter base-flights? whats the best performance in terms of glideratios that people have been getting? JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  13. Worry less about your GPS stats, and flock more, so you dont have to worry about being cut But more serious.....trying to actually further the discipline by trying to work towards something new/better doesnt mean it will put a ban on having fun and flying the way we have been doing so far.. Freeflying has come a long way, with 4 VRW and huge records, but does that prevent anyone from going up with a bunch of people and just having fun? I think it only bettered the discipline, and gave it a better image towards the non-freeflyers.. And showing people whats possible (in terms of formation-flying) is not only incredibly fun to do, but also means people will finally start seeing as as people who "fly formations" instead of "zoom across the skies" As far as wingsuiting turning into a competitive thing....do you ever read these forums? In my experience, flocking is the stuff that is totally free of competitive spirits...its the boys worrying about which piece of fabric makes them better their L/D ratios by 0.0001 that are always competing, be it about suits, manufacturers, or about fellow flyers' performance..... as for the definition...I think focusing on the 2D plane, and forgetting about the vertical levels. Just making sure it looks like a good formation, according to these rules, seen from the top of bottom camera perspective, is (I think?) already challenging enough to try? 14. I think he would love that in the sky, but it would probably suck coming in for a landing.. JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  15. http://www.egsky.com/clothing/volturious.php http://www.egsky.com/clothing/rigor_mortis.php Thats a lot of 'best' and 'better and faster then any' in 2 short pieces of text Although being able to outfly people on your back is quite an original claim.. JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  16. Theres pictures floating around online, with someone flying a GTi, with a legwing to about the knees (double amputee) JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  17. Demos will be present in germany this summer, but drop by in Holland or belgium anytime this year if you want to give it a try... JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  18. The legwing on the prototype we flew in spain was attached to the back of the leg, and enabled you to roll your ankles out 90 degrees, and use the booties as part of the wing. Giving you a large surface area. When flocking, your feet are down, and you have your legs hanging underneath the wing as 2 stabilsing rudders.. But the max flying position felt so weird (and difficult to hold), and the wing on the back of the legs also gave you less feeling on what the wing was doing, that we went back to the 'classic' S6 style legwing (attached to the front of the leg) that was on earlyer prototypes, which you now you see on the production model. 19. Is it online yet? JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  20. I dont remember the Firebird inlets that well, but as far as my memory goes, its roughly the same system...just works a lot better on the Blade (the locking seems to be better) Its quite nice, having the wings stay inflated in transitions, allowing you to fly the transition, and not having to deal with a wing that takes half a second to inflate again properly once you're on your back.. But still..if you cant backfly in a suit without double inflation, you probably wont be able to do it in one with..still takes practice... But it does make life a LOT easyer JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  21. Eehm...Darren....raise you on a pair of rollerskates (do think we are still the secret winners) But shhhh JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  22. Dang woman...whoever put you up to that is a genious! This photo also shows your right hand to be a bit weak...train it more! JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  23. If you would put a hose onto the wings, you could really use it to fill up an inflatable raft...:) Didnt have any issues at pulltime with the wing (which was my fear, with the wings staying inflated so well). There is a gap missing where you reach for your pilot. In all the jumps I did with the suit, I never had any issue with wing getting in the way of pulling.. JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  24. The stuff online atm is just the introduction info. There is an online suit-colouring program being made at the moment, so people can choose which colours they like. As soon as thats done, the other ordering info, size/measuring info and pricing will be posted along with it... Its no big secret..but just the normal order-info that hasnt been posted yet (even though some people have bee getting pre-orders in by mailing directly to jussi) JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  25. Congrats! And office pics...even better! Hope to weekend gets here soon so you can make some air-pics! ps. Whats in the wings, is it hard mylar inserts, or the new material? JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
