  1. Mount it on the thumb (slighly rotate it at around you wrist) and you'll be able to read your alti, and hold grippers, without having to twist your hand.. JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  2. Not wingsuits....but I think the non-wingsuiters have a better chance at getting back into the plane then we (with some help of the pilot) And no gay-drogues this time http://www.dailymotion.com/visited/search/planeur/video/xukra_planeur-psykopit-team JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  3. I think we'd end up with something more like a hovercraft race.. And attached an image Mark just sent me... Though it more lik training in camera-geeking then anything else.. JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  4. Just random musings... With more and more windtunnels appearing everywhere, and tunneltraining becoming the norm for FS and Freefly if you want to be able to keep up with the ever climbing skill-level worldwide..(which is a good thing imho) It is starting to look like, that in a few year, wingsuits will be the only 'honest' freefall dicipline left in skydiving, where you really have to make the # of jumps, to learn to fly your body to the max.. Although money is always an issue, no matter what dicipline, someone who can afford 200/300 jumps a year, will never be able to fly at the same level as someone who can keep pouring thousands and thousands of euros into tunneltraining. Im going to be flying the new NL tunnel as well (work on my freeflying and belly skills), hopefully a lot even... But I do like the fact that wingsuiting will always be about a big piece of sky, and an airplane (or cliff) to jump from (big non-realistic plans people will come up with for wingsuit-suitabel tilted tunnels aside) and the only way to learn is to fly... Just random thoughts.. JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  5. Most formations took about 20 to 30 seconds to build, and where flown untill seperation time. Sometimes with some waving movement within the formation (especialy in the 3D/layered formations), but especialy the flat formations where usually quite smooth. I have rougly 40 gigs of video to sort through, so its going to take untill the end of the month. But all the photo's are also in video, axcacly as they where shot, and flown long enough to actually be concidered as flying formations (and not eye-blincky moments needing tons of slowmo) Theres also some nice multi-point stuff in the video. You're always welcome to drop by my house sometime this week if you want a preview Johan.. JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  6. One option.... http://www.flylikebrick.com/flbweekend2007.php Jumpwise....around 6 jumps a day (big big ways...if you do jumps outside the big groups you can do way more) JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  7. The new website is now active, and we just uploaded the first pictures from our Spanish adventures in Castellon. www.birdmantopgun.com Mark (Harris) took some amazing pictures of our flights there. The entire month of januari we will be adding a new picture to the gallery every day, and a big (free) video is also in the works, hopefully done around the end of this month. Hope you enjoy the photos! Cheers, Jarno If its the suit you want to talk about, please use this thread from a couple of days ago.. JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  8. Check www.birdmantopgun.com for photos of earlyer prototypes of the Blade. Our team got to test these new suits from Birdman. The prototypes, seen in these stills, had some new experiments in wing design (angle of the wing, different profile attachment of the legwing etc), which we where asked to test, try and comment on. The suits seen here are quite different from what will be the final suit. The pictures should speak for themselves, but when we've flown the first production model by the end of this month, we'll post more info.. JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  9. How about offering a watermark image on the website. a .tga or psd with the logo on a transparant layer. So people can choose to ad it to their video already themselves.. JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?

  13. Alex is taking an S-Fly instructors course at the end of April with Loic. Schaffen is the dropzone we can be found most of the time, but next to us there's always 3 to 5 other birds around. Wingsuit-wise (and moneywise, saves you more then 5 euros per jump) Id pick Belgium over Holland any day... Just drop any of us a line if you want to join in sometime.. 17. Big thanx.. Even though all the huge events from the past year have been amazing, the flying we did with the small group here in Castellon is what has impressed me most so far. Tight flocking, and partying (just got back from skinnydipping in the mediterranian sea? DANG!) with the best guys I could ever imagine.. Its going to take a few weeks to sort through all the footage, but around the end of januari the video will probably be online when some details on some things might be revealed.. PM me for more details....you're not going to get them, but it always fun to read Back to drinks with mark! Heyho from Spain! Jarno (who managed to post something serious while being more then slighly experiencing the effects of alcohol! Yay!) And cochstedt video is also coming..dang, the new year is going to start with LOTS of nerdy editing, and working on yet another website (TOP GUN! YAY!) Have a flocking great 2007 guys! Hope to meet as many of you as I can this coming year! JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?

  24. Someone with a BMI rating read the manual to me... JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  25. Dont you mean the opposite? training and ratings have improved dramaticly the last few years. Especialy when it comes to safety, and the lessons learnt in the field.. If any, its the people with ratings from before that time that are 'cheapening' the current system... The people currently training new PFI/BMI's are doing top notch work as far as Ive witnissed... The programs that are currently here (not looking at the specific suit rigging) already ARE suitable for wingsuiting as a whole..and its mostly the people complaining who are looking at it way to brand-specific...
