Maybe you and Costyn should put some GPS's cameras, streamers and smoke on and film eachother in belgium... Hans (aka gadget) also has his Pen-cam which can be velcro'd onto any part of your suit.. Getting you three together with all the toys is going to be awesome to watch! JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?

That was awesome! JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?

There is a great video from quite a few years back from Adrain Nicholas and his wife testing suits in this way. The docu shows them using threads in/on the wing and testing the suit at various angles in the windtunnel, and filming the white threads in blacklight... JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?

People have gotten as high as 20 to 30 meters above the plane, as long as the speed is high enough (and the flyers have mad skills) Check this video from the 2004 hercules boogie (short version - long version) In the long version (about halfway) there are some great exits by Andy Ford and Vesa 'climbing' on the airstream..160 kts (182 mph/293 km/h) is the speed the Hercules was doing there. I think it was Joe Jennigs who was towed behind a C182 in a camerasuit at some point. JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?

There should be a partialy wrecked B24 (if I remember correctly) bomber out there somewhere, as a leftover from one such experiment by a Felix B. JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?

We have done some flights with heavily loaded canopies in Spain (one POV shot is in the promo) and are doing some tandem flybys for a TV item in two weeks. And some other things planned for the near and far future...busy busy people Great video Jari, too bad the camera flyer couldnt keep up.. JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?

He would have to be doing at least 250 km an hour to be able to gain some altitude.. In terms of sitting/kneeling down and having the tailwing still on, a quad would probably have been easyer. But at that speed, jumping up a few degrees off (aot), could also easely result in a rapid deceleration (with the wingsuit acting as a giant airbrake) JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?

I gots my Bird-Man Blade! (with obligatory office pic)

Like any suit, you can deploy in normal fashion (synchronized with both hands) This particular suit has a cut in the wing, which (for me) made the pull surprisingly easy, without having to reach around the wing too much. if you want more information on wingsuits and flying them, just drop by a local dropzone (no matter if you want to someday jump one yourself or not) and there will no doubt be wingsuit flyers there who'd love to show you all about it.. Is the show viewable online somewhere? JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?

Also didnt see that specified anywhere.. But looking at the 5 freeflyers that where there last year, and the exposure the wingsuit flying from las time got, i wouldnt be surprised if this years boogie would not have any RW of Freefly at all Deftainely the Jet event not to miss! There will be some local base-peeps (also flying wingsuits) who you could contact about doing some low stuff in belgium.. Ill point towards this thread and have them contact you if they're up for that.. JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?

The patch is already on top of the bodyparts you mention, at its current position The patch was on the chest, but dissappeared behind the webbing of the rig. The current muppet-position looks fine to me JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete? -

The factory is making blades at a mad pace, but at the moment its me being waay to nice, and letting people try my own suit.. One or two jumps sure..but no way Im parting with my baby for 'a couple of weeks' Give it a month or two and the demo's will also be popping up at boogies/ws weekends. Costyn is bound to do some GPS playtime for the fans of numbers in a short while, and Ill be rolling, diving and swooping all directions to get some good shots of the suit in action on its front, back and side and whatever orrientation.. if you're interested in trying/flying a blade in the UK, you'd have to mail/PM one of the UK topgun flyers (macca, mark, duncan, steve..) and ask them whats possible. But for them its also their own suits untill demo's are available. Parting with their new toys for more then one or two jumps is probably asking a bit much atm Do note that the entire team was selected on the size of their balls, so you may still have that problem with an empty bit of suit in the crotch area.. Wingsuit Weekend - Zwartberg (Belgium) - 3/4 March
mccordia replied to mccordia's topic in Wing Suit Flying
Small update. We have 7 people lined for FJC and coaching atm. We have a 10 level coaching program we will be using from this point on, aimed at teaching people more dynamic flying (more info on that shortly on our website, next to a new flight-manual video Im working on atm -
Its a quote from Michael Abrahams Book (Brilliant read btw, definately get it if you havent already) about landing a wingsuit (though Im still lost at where to 'suit' fits into felix contraption) But a bit off-topic (even more then the current discussion) I think giving people on honest view or warning is on a whole different side of the spectrum, then the scaring to death and trying to permit/stop people from jumping you're trying to sell here.. Sugarcoating everything and telling everyone they'll be fine is also not the way to make it a safer dicipline.. I dont think there's much shame in poor performance. Everyone has his off-days. Some more then others..but enough about me Time to get back on topic, Anyone from holland or belgium who wants to give the Blade a spin, send me a PM and we'll hook you up. And nobody even mentions my brilliant Felix quote And I guess views on advising people about safety may differ.. AirRebels is an audiovisual company I run to pay my bills. Unless you're looking for video editing, 3D animation of visual effects for a movie, I dont think you'll learn anything about wingsuiting there. And FlyLikeBrick doesnt even require beer...just showing up in a wingsuit is enough JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?

Wasnt their former host (jeb) kinda into wingsuits as well...? Maybe there's two athletes on this planet flying wingsuits!? JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
