  1. Hey! You're not gay if you feel bad about it afterwards! JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  2. Its a nice bit of text, but in the end the UK 'rules' are nothing more than recommendations as well, and dont prohibit non-BPA coaches or flyers (with a factory coaching/instruction badge) to teach students. Next to that, the jumps proposed (to me) dont really ad a whole lot, and Id have a sincere feeling of ripping someone off by having them do the same FFC jump 3 times to get a sticker for their logbook. You could do so much more in 3 coached jumps than just watching someone do dummy-pulls. This BPA document could have been much more IMO, had more people been involved in writing it and giving input. But seeing its accepted, it might be a nice startingpoint for future versions. JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  3. And your opinion probably confirms a lot of opinions other people had about you as well JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  4. I think I spotted some Verso flying in this video on wingsuitnews.com. JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  5. Man...whats your problem? Quit the power language...its not helping you say what you actually wanted to say/ask. YOU didnt know about sales tax on products imported from EU into the USA or the other way around. Its standard. The only law you are breaking, is not being allowed to have multiple profiles. All other stuff is pretty standard, and even mentioned on the websites of all manufacturers (and products in general) when ordering from overseas. No...If you do not need or like this information, read the info thats there when you clicked 'order' JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  6. The evill twins have just put an awesome new video online at YouTube! I dont think any serious (skydiving) wingsuit addict is able to watch this without feeling a tad of envy Norway Heliboogie 2009 Editing: Boris Pecnik Camera: Robert Pecnik Click here to go to the video on YouTube (HD/fullscreen!) or here to go the the same video on Wingsuitnews.com JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  7. Imagine having a sponsor paying you to climb, and learn to skydive and basejump. Than ad Robert Pecnik to that as your personal flying coach, and have a professional flmcrew document it all for a DVD project. Check it out! The Asgard Project p.s. Its almost the PF april fools joke turned into reality JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  8. Am I missing something here...? Paying taxes on any items bought elsewhere has been the norm for ages? I pay a shitload of cash to costums for anything I order from UPT Vector, PD, TonySuits, Amazon.com or WHATEVER company based in USA when shipper to EU. Works the same the other way around. Ordering through a dealer sometimes illiminates this. But its standard taxes? Somtimes costums 'miss' packages, and you dont have to pay. But again...its pretty standard :) JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  9. I think the main issue is Are we COACHING people (like freefly and swooping) or are we INSTRUCTING people on something completely new. With the experience levels dropping more and more with regards to who 'instructors' are taking on for a first flight course, it does almost tend to lean towards AFF consolidation jumps at times... 10. This is not a new thing, and works the same the other way. Buying a suit from the US, you also get screwed when it gets sent to Europe. Buying a suit through a local US dealer (in case of PF products, Morpheus) means suits are shipped to them first, and then getting sent from there to the costumer. This illiminates extra taxes. But outside of that, any piece of gear/product you buy new and have shipped cross-continent is subject to having taxes added by costums.. JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  11. Cool video....One tip from a severely drunk, one armed bird in Ukraine for the next model though... If you guys are going to be cocky and braggy, and make an Xbird wingsuit for the reveal that actually has "V3 killer" embroided on it for the heliboogie in Kjerag, dont have a kid in a Phantom2 equal its performance on the same jump, while having the V3 its supposed to kill actually leave it in the dust JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  12. Just back from an X-ray, and sadly it didnt look the way I wanted it to look On a fun jump before the Ukraine WS boogie, I sadly tore a small muscle in my shoulder yesterday. Bumping/getting pulled into the side of the door on a linked 4 way freely exit...(yea, yea...that stuff is dangerous) and Ill need minor surgery this coming week to get everything sewn back in place. Ill most likely be out of commission for 2 to 3 weeks at least (hearing the final verdict from a dutch surgion when back in NL tomorrow). Sad puppy on his way home... Probably wont be at Marl... 13. Skip on the scuba...costs to much money and time you could spend jumping. The cost of scuba gear alone is enough to get through AFF ;) Become a hardcore diver or become a hardcore skydiver/wingsuit flyer. Or do both half-assed ;) JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  14. Combining some of this stuff with a (wide spread) wingsuit formation/group also flying points in the same style the Atmo boys are doing it would rock the world... JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  15. looks like Rex & Melissa also had a great weekend! http://news.flylikebrick.com/2009/06/wingsuit-vs-plane.html And they promise more wingsuit vs airplane stuff on YouTube soon! Awesome! JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  16. The files should be ordered 001, 002 etc based on the order in which they where recorded. This is standard on the camera. Its not throwing things out of order. My guess is that you are asking about the settings in your pc/computer explorer window. Probably set to 'sort by filesize' instead of 'sort by filename' (rightclick>sort>sort by filename) Instead of scrolling down 6 pages, just press 'up' once to immidiately go to the last page with the last recorded clip. 17. Its something a lot of video guys also do on tandemjumps....and something a lot of us also do it flocking (relying on someone else flying base for a breakoff signal) be it backed up by a dytter. JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  18. The trick is mostly, think for yourself..(for the record: first jump we had 3 wingsuits follow the 4th one who had a bad exit, instead of following the canopy...which we lost....then had to try again...with more succes luckely) JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  19. Cool stuff Gecko! And tim, bart and benedict also thanx for the weekend fun! You guys rocked, lets continue this soon (and Tim, Ill save you a suit for the camera flying next time) JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  20. We are arriving at Kiev for a night of 'training' in the local bars on the 19th. The 20th, around early afternoon we will probably want to head to the dropzone to try and maybe catch a last weekend load (and first boogie jump). If there is anyone willing to pick some people up in town/airport. Please shoot us an email at flylikebrick@gmail.com. Kiev (town) to Dropzone saterday 20th, early afternoon Deniq, Benedict, Jarno (& Anuschka) Kiev Borispol (airport) to Dropzone sunday 21st, early afternoon Lutz Kiev Borispol (airport) to Dropzone monday 22nd, early afternoon Costyn (& Mirjam), Jerry *please copy/ad/change where needed* JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  21. yea, all previous tries at lead and trimmed front risers (CREW camera mod) resulted in a flight angle that was too steep. Where it was either stall and fall past the canopy, or fly and overspeed it by a large margin. We did some of this stuff in Castellon (Spain) and Belgium in the past, and it almost always resulted in one of the above. The current canopy/wingsuit match, combined with the lead he is carying seems to result in something that matches the flight angle (canopy flown 'everything up/hands off' matching wingsuit flown 'maxed out'). The tricky thing is using the exit altitude difference to manouvre the wingsuit to the correct point and leveling out/positioning yourself exactly there where you need to be. But a few more jumps (and hopefully some nice outside views) should make that one possible.. JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  22. We had to do some turns due to a cloud (seen in front) so this picture (caught during the initial approach) sadly wasnt the position flown for the full jump. But it was a nice, smooth (and slow) pass (roughly half the passing speed as this previous go at the same thing), and the glide-angle 100% matched this time (no front-riser input on the canopy, only additional lead) So I had to really fly all out to match what he was doing. Flying +- 10 meter in front of him, and +- 20 meters lower we managed to fly in that same position for roughly 2000/3000 ft of altitude. Though as mentioned, I was flying close to 100%, and had little room for additional lift. But we're doing this one again soon with Lutz and I both taking turns filming eachother in wingsuit, while Bavo again flies his canopy (with a few added kg). So this (plus some of the previous flying Lutz has been doing, on the same subject/thing) will make it online sooner or later...just need to gather more fun footage over the coming few weeks. And yes, the suit is a newer Stealth2 proto. It flies wonderfull when flown max, but the ability to pull it into a stall (next to normal canopies) is also a strange but wonderfull experience.. Though Im doing most stuff formation and filming in an Acro2, I love the aforementioned Sth2 proto for its specified design intent. More on that subject later as well Gotta love toys... 23. A quicky grab from Bavo's camera.. More on this laterrrr.... JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  24. I guess I'm dense... why 3 different canopies? What are the red circles pointing out? I think both her mains failed, but luckely she had a 3d canopy payd by her sponsor MS paint? JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
