  1. Extended feet dont always mean a wingsuit is flying as well as it could. Putting too much pressure on the hands results in a more stall-y angle of flight also giving a much more turbulent airflow over the back, and thus a lot of smoke billowing/churning inside the burble. Smoke placement can also affect this of course, though on most video/shots of people doing 100% balls to the walls flying, the airflow over/allong the wing is clean, and results in the smoke parting (and actually disappearing in a turning fashion over/allongside of the s wingsuit burble.. 2. Awesome stuff... The flocking will start on friday already. 1 on 1 coaching/FFCs will most likely kick off sat/sun (due to me not knowing for sure what time Ill be on the DZ on friday) Looking forward to flying with you! (bring a laptop, so you can copy the video files straight from my camera btw:)) JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  3. Why...because there is a significant part of the human kind that sits behind a computer 24/7, never goes outside, and feels the need to comment, complain and bash the ones who do have a life? Some of the stuff is offensive as hell, but thinking about who wrote it is enough to put a smile on my face... And thinking about the number of basejumps guys like robi, james, espen, loic, valery etc all did, inching closer and closer to the objects and judging their performance and glide angle...hundreds if not thousand or more of basejumps....and knowing that even with that training and preperation they still make mistakes (and luckely live to tell the story).. How scary is it seeing peope quite new to the sport do a few skydives, don a wingsuit and try and repeat the same on basejump number one... JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?

  5. Cool beans.. Do ignore the fact that full laminar airflown is something we lack, and actually flying in the burble/wake is not something that hapens in any form of wingsuit flight (let alone, flocking with sub-par performance) where its actually an advantage.. But cool beans...jets always rock JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  6. Journalist just so love the word 'plunged' usually combined with 'to his death' and 'from XX altitude' Combining that with some selective quoting and sensational writing, anything is cool. Seeing how many websites picked up this video and hosted it on their own 'amazing/funny/death' video selection is shocking (though to be expected). JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  7. Sorry, wrong name. noticed it was Marko JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  8. Why that? Or you mean that exit pic that Terro posted? JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  9. Just mention in the description its shot in Belgium JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  10. For those that asked/requested....Ive just added several new (free) desktop wallpapers in widescreen monitor layout to our website! check it out here JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  11. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/8056511.stm The BBC has a nice item on James as well. JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  12. Most people fear the Grim reaper. James loves ringing the doorbell, and then running away when he opens the door JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  13. Yeah, at a few hundred feet above the ground, I don't think I'll be aiming for 2/3 of a pull... Actually the opposite...it means you dont have to stress pulling them out fully. Just pull down and out untill you're at half an arm stretch, and then go for the risers and/or toggles.. JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  14. Also note that the cables only have to be pulled out the first 2/3d to free the arms. The remaining laces/tabs keep the cables in, which saves looking for them after a cutaway (though in an actual situation where you need to use the cutaway, thats the least of your worries..) 15. Always funny reading how The Sun takes the facts, turns em in to whuffo language by adding their version of how stuff works, and then having Dutch news copy the Sun as a source and do THEIR own version in Dutch.. But again...glad this all ended okay, and to still have James here.. JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  16. Outside of some regions where CRW/high altitude deployments arent an issue (outside of the normal DZ operation), the aviation laws here also require an airplane with a transponder code to fly/circle around the canopies (if they open over 6000 ft). Something you only see at dropzones such as skydive rotterdam here in Holland (which is wedged in between all kinds of sh*t, with regards to airtraffic for Rotterdam Intl Airport, and Amsterdam Schiphol) JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  17. Just for a glimps on whats on the DVD, here are some FlyTheLine2 Desktop Wallpapers Note that the green stuff you see in the background are not trees, but 40 cm high bushes. JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  18. In a large section of EU airspace, CREW is limited to 6k or 9k exit/deployment altitudes. So not sure we want to adhere to those rules either JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  19. Do these new/strickter rules in any way impact Wings over Marl? Asking all participants to fly circles, and hoping the first jumper doesnt fly too long (to have the time between him/her and the last opening canopy not be too long) all seems a bit counterproductive.. Wings over Marl...at Skydive Teuge? JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  20. Heyhey, Lutz and I will be in Soest, Germany on Friday, Saterday & Sunday for a 3 day Phoenix-Fly wingsuit event. So thats May 22, 23 & 24. Lutz will be doing load organising for the groups, and Ill be handling FFCs and 1 on 1 coaching jumps. All 1 on 1 coach jumps will be at slot-price (as always) for those wanting to work on backflying, docks etc. I think we already have over a dozen active wingsuit flyers registered, and 4 FFCs. Shoot a message if you also want to drop by! JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  21. Eyey, Just a short update. Lutz and I have our tickets booked. Lutz and I will be altering doing the boogie, with one person doing the group load organising, and the other one doing the FFC/1 on 1 coaching stuff. So there's all kinds of fun to be had. And if you want to work on backflying, docks, etc we'll gladly help you out with the 1 on 1 stuff.. I think there are a few more people playing with the dirty thoughts of joining in the party mayhem (Benedikt?) In terms of sleeping, I was informed there will be a big militairy tent and also a bit room available in a building on/near the DZ. So a sleepingbag and little mat to sleep on is all you need. 22. Reading (in both PMs and publicly) the shit, some people think is just to send/write about (be it commercial or non commercial) work others create...the fun goes out of the snappy comments when its also a (tongue in cheek or not) thing thats damaging the public image of the work created.. But take my reply as tongue in cheek as well if you want.. Again..I hope yo get your DVD asap. and there is another happy (be it impatient as f*k) costumer happy with the product he received.. JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  23. That's the problem with us impatient Americans. So far all other Americans Ive met and talked with about this problem with the DVD were normal and understanding people. Wouldnt want to throw everyone on one pile as 'impatient Americans' Ive been quite open every step of the way on the FTL2 DVD (seeing as the whole postproduction process/DVD menu/creation was my work), and sadly due to a production error, its delayed for the US crowd. Its out of my/our controll, and anyone that sends me a PM or email (or to Robi/James) will get this same honest answer. The wingsuit business is not a multimillion dolar industry. So when there is a sudden surge in orders, there isnt a huge 500 people company there to rush through all the orders. Point me to the single skydiving brand which creates custom, size specific gear that delivers everything within a few days/hours. We always hear all the fluffy pink stories, but so far Ive heard, seen and experienced stories on sizing problems, delivery issues, construction issues etc, from every single brand. Whats this whole 'enlighted European' thing? Dont know what kind of chip you have on your shoulder, but Jarno the a##hole would have sufficed. Europe doesnt have enough ponies to have everyone be like me... As to the DVD...The recap: The PAL DVDs where sent out to costumers about 2 weeks after the PRE-order went into effect (a little wait on a PRE-order is quite normal, hence the PRE) And the NTSC DVDs one week later (the conversion isnt a simple mouse-click if you want to do it right). Sadly the first people that got theirs reported the error, so we (I) decided/asked to stop sending them out from morpheus, and went to work to replace em with a 100% functional and quality product asap. And that process took about 2 weeks up till now (DVDs in USA if customs cooperates) due to me going from USA directly to Spain. I see this great urge in you to tell everyone how to do business. I think if you put half the effort into being a bit less of an ass publicly, and the rest in trying to grow a little patience, the world would be a much better place. I hope you also receive your DVD sometime this coming week, and enjoy watching it as much as I did making it... JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  24. Yes, they should be arriving in the US either yesterday or today. And that one is fully on my account. The initial copies you and everyone where supposed to receive had a glitch (as reported above) with one of the extras having a burn error (on behalf of the company that did the reproduction) causing the DVD not to be 100% what it should be. Ive had new copies ordered/made, and shipped directly to morpheus the moment we discovered the error. But sadly the company doing the reproduction needed a few days, as did the postal service and the US customs. But hopefully those shiny discs will also finaly be shipped from Morpheus for the USA folks this mon/tuesday. The people that already received the initial version (with the error) will get their disc replaced asap. as well. For the next batch of FTL2 DVDs, we'll do the coping in the US (illiminating the logistics/wait in sending etc.) My personal appologies for waiting, but Id rather have you be 100% happy with something a bit late, than feeling cheated with a product not fully up to specs.. It'll be worth the wait.. Jarno JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  25. and more.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a8I--EELnRo Small preview..Big video coming as well...I have al Alejandro's and David's videos, but Z-Flock is the first one to finish before this one goes into production. JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
