Fantastic news from the hospital this morning! They already isolated the bacterial infection in her lungs as "nocardia"(sp) and started treating her accordingly. My dad stayed there all last night and said she had a peaceful night.

Hi Chris. I thank everyone for the possitive vibes and prayers! I spent 3 1/2 hours with her tonight and she's alot stronger than me right now. I was relieved at the situation after I found out at 2:30 they were able to do the local instead of the almost certain bad side event that i was sure to happen. She knows that I have asked and recieved a lot of prayers from my friends here! I was able to be strong for her after hearing the good news and her holding my hand very firm for 30 minutes was crucial. God bess!

My nurse sister just called from the hospital. They decided to go in with just a local instead of taking a huge chance on putting her under. The biggest fear was respritory arrest which would have been irreversible It went well they got in and out with no problems! Thanks for all the positive energy and prayers!

I talked to her on the phone last night and made her promise me that she was still going skydiving with me for her 70th birthday and to remind her that it's a little over 2 yrs away! She laughed and agreed again!

My Mother who has sufferred through chemo and radiation for cancer of the esophogus is in a world of hurt! She has dealt with the problems left over from the treatments an now has viral pneumonia in the lungs. She has waited for three days to have the tests done and cant take it through the the throat and wil have to have it done invasive through the back. The problem is that if she gos into resperatory failure she won't ever cxome out and she has accepted that. I haven't! I am hurting like a mofo rite now...............I love this women with all of my heart and she is the one who has stood behind me skydiving!

Reginald, I was one of the 300 jump wonders under a 99' Crossfire @ 1.67 but spent 200 jumps on it before ever doing more than 90 degree front riser turns. I watched and listened exept to the people that said I would automatically die under that canopy. I was very conservative under that canopy for quite a while.

I think Sharpton said it best last night, though, when he said that this would be the first time Bush actually won, lol! Funny how well Bush did in Florida AND won the popular vote. Did you hear the repubs screaming about winning the popular vote against Idiot Clinton yet losing the elections? Twice?

I think something here is a little different. Bush obviously won the popular vote. Something that Bill Clinton never did. Republicans didn't clammer on about that. It's the system that is in place that is there to protect us against our own ignorance. Until the system is changed to 1 person-1 vote the popular vote is cast aside somewhat.

I send this hoping some will read before it go's to the other forum! I send this in ernst, I am asking those on the fence of voting to please vote for the current president for which we know is a man of his word and faith not a man of wishwash ideas depending on whom he's speaking to. Kerry is not the man we want to represent the United States Of America to the world today! If he were running for the UN representative for France, he would win in a landslide! If you have trust in the UN, Vote for Kerry. If you believe in a country that has huevos(balls) to defend itself against a terror that claimed us an enemy without us declaring war against them even after all the assaults against us under the rulership of the Democrats, you will vote for Bush. It should have never gotten to this point but under the lame past leadership, we finally have a president who took a stand and said you've crossed the line one two many times! It's time to take a stand and defend this country and stand behind the soldiers that are trying to make the world a better place for all, not just us! No war was ever a happy war but it took war to change the world. Our enemies chose war with us long before we chose this war with them! My company policy is that 2 employees fight, 1 is automatically dismissed. Fighting is not tolorated! With many installation and service crews in the company, there are a number of management levels to discuss the problems or issues with to have them resolved before it comes down to fisticuffs.

Before I started skydiving I played golf. I was a "golfer". It was just something to do on weekends. When I started skydiving, it was not a game it became a way of life. It isn't just something that you do, it becomes part of who you are as a person.

When I met my girl she had almost 1000 more jumps than I did! Now she's a few hundred more and jumps more now than she has in years. She started 30 years ago to my 6. It's much better to either date a jumper or someone that accepts that skydiving is a part of who you are. Welcome back to your world.
