Hey tadbad, I agree! 60 posts, 8 jumps in 1.5 months? I'm 43. Did my 13th on Dec.30,2000, my 42nd B.D. I have 970jtd. You don't stop skydiving because you get old, You get old because you quit skydiving! Too bad I'm in H-town.

Nobody saw it

During a mostly routine 8 way about a year ago, the exit funneled. One of the girls in it got hit on the closing pin flap pretty good, the flap opened and the pin dislodged. Near the end of the dive she had planned to rodeo me for being last to the dirt dive, when she came at me, I sent her flipping away! We never knew anything was wrong until we watched the video! All 5 flaps were open right on exit. Luckly her container was tight enough that the D-bag stayed in place even with the bridle flapping in the wind, opening was normal.She never knew the difference!

I jumped a Samauri 105 @ 1.7/1 for a few weeks and had numerous spinning openings. Also considerable oversteer. I just got a new Crossfire-2 89 loading @ 2.1 and it doesn't have any of the baggage associated with air locks. Wait til you have to fight that canopy on the ground on a real windy day. Conway
