Does Mr. Dreads, Ehren know? He may be pissed that you won't be there.
-
LOL! I hear ya man.
-
Matter of fact, I'm almost afraid to buy a new main since I'd have to pack a new friggin' main! Aaaaarrrrggh!
-
I read his post as being 70 kg body weight. 70 x 2.54 = 177.8. Add 20ish pounds for the gear. That's 1.16 on a 170. uhm, that should read: 70 x 2.2 = 154 1 kg = 2.2 lb you were thinking inches to cm, 1 inch = 2.54 cm Sorry, bytchy, but 980 is correct....but I will consult you sometime in the future for what to do with my %50 off Flite Suite coupon.

Cloverdale is more like 20 miles past.
-
Acording to mapquest, Cloverdale (skydive sf) is 87 miles and Monterey is 112. Lodi is also 87 - who da thunk? Davis is 74. Cloverdale (skydive sf) is only a small cessna dz. If you're going up north to wine taste, then by all means, stop by.

How "In Shape" are we as Skydivers?
Elisha replied to ntrprnr's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
I'm an on/off Bikram practitioner. Do yoga at home to tapes as well. I'm sure an intense 30 days would do wonders, but I don't really have the time...plus it cuts into skydiving $$$. -
muslim? Sikh. Ahh. gotcha.
-
What, are you an Orthodox Christian too? Jewish?
-
Yeah, I know.
-
Since I try to be a good Orthodox Christian boy, I try to eat essentially vegan on Wed, Fri, and fasting periods like Lent (before Easter) and Advent (before Christmas). Otherwise, I'll eat anything. Mmmmm.....Steak....

Yeah, and you're marrying that hippie. (besides, he doesn't have long hair).

How "In Shape" are we as Skydivers?
Elisha replied to ntrprnr's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
I'm between the first two options. I run 4.5 miles at about 8 min pace Mon & Wed. Hopefully play Ultimate Frisbee Tue & Thurs during lunch, and I try to do at least 30 min of yoga in the evening, but have been somewhat lazy about it of late. -
First small plane jump (cessna 182)
Elisha replied to Evelyn's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Oh yeah, forgot about that... there's only one time I've been higher than 10K in a 182 was for a formation load ash dive and it took for-freakin-EVER to get to 13K, then with more time in the air to get the formation together, I thought we were never gonna get out of that plane. No signs of hypoxia, I'm happy to report. We'll try that bat-hang one of these days! I've been to 15K (or 14ish) in a 182. I think we wern't too heavy though, so it was ONLY about 30 min. -

Evelyn, You're so cute with your commentaries. (will elaborate more in a couple of hours after important lunch and work stuff). -
Isn't the Vengeance airlocked? Or is your point that it isn't as good of a design as the Big Air Sportz canopies?

Having an "A" limits jumping at which boogies?
Elisha replied to somethinelse's topic in Events & Places to Jump
SOOO true. It was intimidating at the American Boogie with all these more experienced people catching up to me. I was landing at the regular landing area for the first time with so many people. -
Exactly, so no making fun of me if you seem me stretching/doing yoga at the DZ!
-
Yeah, the Metrodome can't be opened/
-
Yes, so yoga and/or pilates. Try Bikram yoga, the hot kind - in 100+ degree heat. I'd be really surprised if there wasn't notable improvement after 3 classes.
-
Umm, no, not really. "The peas" is a small are. You are not going for an accuracy competition, but to be in the general area. Just land in the landing area. That is all that is really required.

I'm curious as to what he/she/it looks like too.
-
What??? This is a chicks only thing? It would be a GREAT summer skydiving place (and maybe a couple of days in the winter too).

People you'd go gay (or straight, depending) for . . .
Elisha replied to kelel01's topic in The Bonfire
Untrue...though I'd say it's probably true for a solid 97.5% of straight men...maybe even more. I'm admittedly a real weirdo. Well, since you agree that is applies to 97.5% of straight men, it was a plenty accurate statment!
