  1. Well, I'll discuss it (again) with Clay anyways probably next week when I jump since it expires anyways and will need to be repacked later that week.
  2. The friend - they took the risk. They could've repacked it if they didn't trust the pack job.
  3. I saw that. Daniel Craig. What a lame choice. Well I guess we can just say, "At least he's not George Lazenby."
  4. He did...but said that it would be better than what it currently is anyways (with a short cable). Lecture me further all you want. You haven't seen the rig and I've been over this.
  5. Yeah, I know...but I have plans...and weather may interfere too.
  6. All the other stuff you said, thanks. Yes, I have a Talon, with soft housings, but my rigger will make it a hybrid to get more length to reroute through the reserve area at next repack for peace of mind for me. Yeah, so I can avoid crossing my front/back risers like when I did it. It flew fine and was fixed before the next jump.
  7. Seriously, what do you mean by cleaning the cables? You doon't pull the cutaway handle do you? Wouldn't you have to reroute the cable back through the reserve compartment for this? This doesn't sound like something everyone should know how to do. My cables get "flexed" all the time - especially since I constantly monitor my short cable (see past threads) to keep peace of mind. I also changed risers (myself) after buying my rig.
  8. Interesting...I've heard people say they thought FYEO was one of the better movies. Now Carole Bouquet (the hottie with the crossbow) was awesome and definitely not a tranny.
  9. You obviously didn't read my post - I beat you to it!
  10. Really? I thought they had a Nitron 170?
  11. No!!! That makes me avert my eyes in horror!
  12. No no no. Not very good - one of the best ever!
  13. What do you mean you "sometimes" hear this debate? This has been debated ad nauseum. There are many arguments you can make, depending on what angle you're looking at. For starters, George Lazenby was a snooty Australian fashion model who did one film and was by far the worst acting ability-wise. Oddly enough, I've read that people thought "On His Majesty's Secret Service" (btw, filmed in the Lauterbrunnen Valley in Switzerland where those BASE jumpers jump near Interlaken) was the best film of them all - I'm guessing since Bond "married" (how ever short it lasted), great scenery and good plot (even when most say "Who the f*ck is he?" wrt Lazenby). Connery usually gets the nod as the best. He has the best acting skills, chicks dig him the most, guys love his machismo and chauvinism and he was the first Bond. But Connery is Shhhhcottish. James Bond is not a Scot. Connery fact: he wore a toupee in every single Bond film he made. I like Connery a lot. Moore is about as well known as Connery and usually is just behind Connery in popularity, but in the past few years has to compete with Brosnan. Moore is in fact, the only actual "British" Bond. Interesting tidbit: the producers originally wanted Moore around Dr. No time, but he was still under contract for The Saint. Also, they felt he was still too young and pretty boy looking at the time. Moore is in fact older than Sean Connery. He was I think 42 in Live and Let Die and 58 in A View to a Kill. I think he aged well, although he did look old in hindsight. He is more suave and subtle than the brash Connery and my personal favorite - largely due to the fact that I grew up with him since I was born in the mid-70's. Brosnan I think has elements of both Connery and Moore and people like him from his Remmington Steele days. In fact, we may have never seen Dalton if the Remmington producers wouldn't have hamstringed Brosnan with one more year on his contract. Brosnan is good, but is the "new guy", runs like he has a stick up his ass (as previously mentioned) and is Irish. James Bond is not Irish. I still like Brosnan regardless. Dalton, appeared in two movies, with the second being rather weird plot-wise. Living Daylights was classic Bond though in almost all aspects of the film. That Aston Martin was an awesome car. Dalton was too serious for most people, is Welsh (close, but no cigar), is just not as interesting as the others (Lazenby disqualified). Still, as pointed out above, I've read that he is actually closest to the Ian Fleming James Bond. Yes, I'm a fan. I think the series is one of the greatest ever despite the flaws. And I actually only own 3 or 4 of the movies, but I'd like to own them all.

Tonight's South Park rerun reminded me. Enjoy.... http://www.wingmusic.co.nz/ Actually, I think it is the cheesiest sounding crap ever, but good for her if she has a market for it.
  16. [grammar police]That is why it is proper to say "one" instead of "you" in hypothetical or figurative situations.[/grammar police]
  17. Isn't that the "discrete" version though? The candid version would be "friend with benefits".
  18. Bingo. I just exchanged my majorly-expensvie Walmart Ozark Trails since one of the strap thingy's where you nail the stakes down ripped off at the boogie due to the wind. But since I'm po' and rarely "camp" (as in use a tent for spending the night), the cheap $30 Walmart tent is fine with me. I consider it my annual Walmart purchase since I choose not to financially support the conglomerate in general.
  19. Waaaaaaaaaaahhhhhh! I can't be in two places at once!
  20. Oh Phil, you know I'd be there just for you.... nah, don't want to scare ya.
  21. Or you could also say Bekannte (acquaintance). In America, we throw around the word "friend" much to lightly, equating it with co-worker when we should be saying acquaintance far more often.
  22. Nah, I gave blood yesterday. You're just a wimp. Get over it. Just kidding (about the wimp part). Just relax...the phleb-whatever isn't pushing you out of a plain or anything (w/o a working rig).
  23. What are you talking about?!? I go to the dz all the time just to pack - it's so much fun! I just ask people who are done jumping if I can pack for them since I like the practice...... NOT! Jump=fun, other stuff (besides the Apres jumping) = not so fun.
  24. I'm probably the Firefox in the SF area.
