A good point. On my monitor the white does look kinda like silver on one cell and kinda like a dirty gray on the other, and the jade looks more like turquoise (light/bright blue) than jade (which, for those who don't know, is another name for teal - a bluish green). In reality, the white is still white and the jade really is jade. Jade?? JADE?!?! That is aqua. Jade is NEVER used as a fabric color. You guys are hella lame.

Boatloads of fun!

LMAO (uncontrollably)!

I just figured out my tax refund is a good grand more than I thought....hello new container (at least sometime this year)! At this point, I don't think I'm willing to buy a main with anything LESS than 300 jumps - it's too hard to pack! You should submit one of your articles for your English class. See teach - I got published. Did you?

No. Dominic is not allowed to come to the American Boogie. There are far too many good looking women and too much good alcohol at that boogie. We wouldn't want to be responsible for ending his record for staying sober and celibate. Ooooooohh.
-
Phew! Cool. Semi-naked chicks in the tunnel. I thought I might have to get mad at you for making me see some dude's schlong flopping around. I'm sure that instructor was happy that day.

What do you look for in a boogie??
Elisha replied to Feeblemind's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
All of the above! Thinking back now, of the whole three different location boogies I've been to, I'd say the Food and Beer at Davis are tops. I appreciate good food, but can live with simpler stuff. Tailgate planes and some organizing is really fun as well. And of course, cool people! -
yuck.

Ok. It looks like we're all happy again....these emoticons always looked a bit over the top anyways. Blue Skies.
-
American Boogie in June? I need a backup demo in case PD doesn't show.
-
Sorry if you took it wrong - I thought that was what the emoticon was for, as I intended the second part. (copying your quote and inserting my own thought). Although I occasionally have foot in mouth disease, nothing ill was intended here. Due to being small and having a nasal voice, I've endured more than my fair share of teasing from others through life, so it's always a pleasant surprise to NOT having people make fun of me (e.g. you, Brian and others) while skydiving. Compared to others on DZ.com, it sounds like all three of us are tame on both ends of the spectrum (temper and teasing).

...are bad. Don't do it. ALWAYS cock them, preferably before the canopy is even bagged (right before).
-
I was looking in the general direction of your main/free bag, but initially more concerned with just seeing a second canopy (i.e. a reserve) in the air since I only saw one other at first. Sean and Phil were obviously on the ball for those though. Phil, just admit you like hanging around skydivers that f-up since like rescuing them.

Or really bright pastels!

Groovalicious at SkyDive Santa Barbara this weekend!
Elisha replied to manifestRyan's topic in Events & Places to Jump
Yeah, keep hoping. -
I'm sure she likes walks on the beach too, but she's over an hour away from the beach and you'd have to ask her husband and daughter first.

This reminds of a great joke I read recently: http://www.computerjokes.net/087.htm Q: How many internet mail list subscribers does it take to change a light bulb? A: 1,331: * 1 to change the light bulb and to post to the mail list that the light bulb has been changed * 14 to share similar experiences of changing light bulbs and how the light bulb could have been changed differently. * 7 to caution about the dangers of changing light bulbs. * 27 to point out spelling/grammar errors in posts about changing light bulbs. * 53 to flame the spell checkers * 156 to write to the list administrator complaining about the light bulb discussion and its inappropriateness to this mail list. * 41 to correct spelling in the spelling/grammar flames. * 109 to post that this list is not about light bulbs and to please take this email exchange to alt.lite.bulb * 203 to demand that cross posting to alt.grammar, alt.spelling and alt.punctuation about changing light bulbs be stopped. * 111 to defend the posting to this list saying that we are all use light bulbs and therefore the posts **are** relevant to this mail list. * 306 to debate which method of changing light bulbs is superior, where to buy the best light bulbs, what brand of light bulbs work best for this technique, and what brands are faulty. * 27 to post URLs where one can see examples of different light bulbs * 14 to post that the URLs were posted incorrectly, and to post corrected URLs. * 3 to post about links they found from the URLs that are relevant to this list which makes light bulbs relevant to this list. * 33 to concatenate all posts to date, then quote them including all headers and footers, and then add "Me Too." * 12 to post to the list that they are unsubscribing because they cannot handle the light bulb controversey. * 19 to quote the "Me Too's" to say, "Me Three." * 4 to suggest that posters request the light bulb FAQ. * 1 to propose new alt.change.lite.bulb newsgroup. * 47 to say this is just what alt.physic.cold_fusion was meant for, leave it here. * 143 votes for alt.lite.bulb.

Ground launching in San Fran/Fremont???
Elisha replied to ReLLiK75's topic in Events & Places to Jump
Byron - you mean you work Sat/Sun too? That sux. I think Byron is usually open during the week as well except Monday. -
Looks like that wasn't entirely true. I'd suggest an apology is in order. And that's putting it VERY nicely!
-
But I got to see it live...under canopy...and I'm in the video for like a whole second. This will be downloaded into the permanent collection!

Got the postcard a couple of weeks ago. Nice try - trying to get me to visit my parents this coming weekend, but not going to happen. Have fun! -
Drop Zone! Yeah Baby! Much better than Cutaway! And I bought it too!

Definitely pretty! She'd play well with my boy (orange tabby on the left). (Old pic - he's 1.5 and about 15 pounds now like the big gray/white one).

Cruise control is a good thing... I guess they thought 25+ or 30 was reckless driving or something. Sucks.
