Does "rich" and "skydivers" really belong in the same sentence? Well I suppose there are a few, but "all you"? Read my sigline. Unfortunately, it seems like I have to at least some of the time.

Yeah, that's one ugly chick.

whats the average and highest exit altitude you get AGL?

I think I need to visit Hollister sometime. -
Think of "Wheel Of Fortune" only instead of dollar amounts there are different prizes such as t-shirts, half off gear coupons and types of drinks (apple pie shots, saké bombs, absinthe, tequila, etc.) It usually gets pretty crazy (or so I hear ) That seems familar. But didn't you have to buy a spin (e.g. $1 per spin or something) - so for your "raffle ticket" you could get something "good" (gear coupon, etc.) or "bad" (a shot)? I Corie feeding me an Apple Pie shot - yum.

Ironically, hardly ever - I think I've only had a couple and they were very brief.

Maybe I should intentionally disobey just so I can be an attention whore. Btw, I already posted in the events thread, but someone please refresh my memory, but what is the Wheel of Carnage again? I saw it at NCFF before, but forget.

Quick question: What is a more powerful plane - a King Air or Beech 99? I have yet to jump out of a King Air, but have done a CASA, Skyvan, Pac750 and Beech 99 of the faster climbers. -

Most of you people are just so spoiled. Try going to cessna DZs where you maybe only get 9K because of some tandems or 12K tandems in reality get closer to 11K. -
Yup, as said. From an actuarial perspective, one would say that it isn't "credible" or has low credibility. What one might do is to figure out sometype of standard for "full credibility" (e.g. x # of incidents/accidents in an n-yr time period), calculate the same rate/metric for the full standard or credibility complement (i.e. fatality/incident rate for US/World results), figure out the,....oh nevermind this is getting too complicated to explain and too academic.

When a person is "collected", that isn't a good sign.

Yeah it does look good...although as a guy with short hair, "interesting" is more what comes to mind. From what little I know about women and long hair, women put their hair up frequently when it is warm since it is cooler (as in not as stifling hot). For that effect, I find the simple bun with one of those spikes through it to keep it together rather intimidating and sexy. You could just pull it out at a moments notice and kill someone if you had to. But if you were to keep the hair in the braided style for several days, yeah, kinda cool (in both meanings).

Mods, Want to make this a sticky? Thanks.
-
(I could have sworn I responded already...) Congrats! I will probably be dangerously close to #100 by Byron Boogie time.

Yeah, me too, but prior (a few months prior) I spilled smoothie and it and it worked fine (although still some sticky keys) once it dried.

Parasail Skydiving Training (Military)?
Elisha replied to Elisha's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Thanks! (And yes, I'm pretty sure he's in the AirForce). OK everyone. Thread done. Nothing to see here. Move along. -
Congrats! I could be dangerously close myself by Boogie time.

Parasail Skydiving Training (Military)?
Elisha replied to Elisha's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
This lady from work told me that her son (who is in the military) and I think stationed in GA is going to be doing some training soon. From what she said, it is like parasailing, but you start behind a truck (I think someone posted a movie of this a while back). He will have to somehow "land" whethere they will release the 300 ft rope or just slow/stop the truck I have no idea. I've never heard of this as any official training method (but what do I know). Comments? Just curious. -
What age did you start skydiving?
Elisha replied to GoRdOn8619's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Started: 27 Now: 30 Didn't jump for around 9 mos between jumps 34 and 35 (or something like that) because of $$$. -
:0:00 Did stuff at church and took the weekend off from jumping for the first time in over a month.
-
You mean you don't want to help me out with number 2?
-
To respond back: 1) For the most part, yes. I love WHERE I am living (CA wine country), the church I'm a member of and the family that are nearby. 2) Change: Find someone to get married to and start a family. Get a job with better pay and more vacation so I can travel + skydive more. Maybe #2 is a lot, but whatever.
-
Probably the best response. The DZO where I went through AFF would say (once I finished AFF), that I'm still not a skydiver - I just know how to save my life.
