    I just dove out, did some turns, backflips, and just looked down and enjoyed the ground rush. It's really different when you can just relax and take everything in and not be worried about a dive flow. Congrats!

    Doing the 3way of you, me, and wingi was almost like an old school dzcom reunion!! I'm glad i came to Ohio for the boogie, it was a great time! Start skydiving has a a great dz and the best manifest system ever. I'll definitely come back next year.

    How did I miss both you AND the jello shots at the boogie??? I thought I would recognize you but I guess I was wrong. :12: Made some AWESOME jumps at Start Skydiving! 1 balloon jump, 1 night jump, and 10 belly jumps. 12 - 36 ways all weekend. Loved, loved, loved it. Oh yeah, and I finally hit #600.

    :6:0 : that's what I look like today, after being stung by a wasp directly below my left eye at the DZ on Saturday. 6: 4 4-way jumps out of the C-206. Our meeker exits are getting better and we *almost* launched a stairstep diamond off the strut too! 1 tandem video and 1 AFF video.     Last year I sent L&B my ProTrack which had a cracked display face. I wanted to know if they could replace the cracked part, and they sent me a brand new ProTrack for FREE! They're awesome.     As a fairly new videographer at a Cessna DZ (182 & 206), I love this idea. I have one question though...do you do the whole ground/plane interview with the people who do not pre-purchase the video? Do you still video their landings? Or do you just video the jump itself???     :4: 4 jumps...one A-license check out dive , one attempted 10-way hybrid formation load (out of the 206 and the 180). We got about 8, maybe 9 close to being in, but the hybrid never transitioned because some of the freeflyers were in the wrong slot. 4 of us landed off, due to a long spot/climb out. owed for 1st paid tandem video. I also did my 1st AFF video (not paid, just practice)...a CAT A that tumbled a good 3000 feet. I sure was glad I was just on video and not in the middle of that funnel!!!     That is pretty much EXACTLY what my husband (who is a rigger) said when he found out what happened. He said he would have made the same decision I made, because of this reason.     Weird, but good, in a way. I was definitely nervous as I went out the door, but then I was relieved when I saw a perfect canopy over my head, and to have my 1st reserve ride over with. The pull was MUCH easier than I thought it would be. My wallet didn't feel lighter at all...I watched my freebag land and my husband is a rigger. As for the RSL, I meant I would have disconnected it in the plane before exit. We had several minutes while we were sitting in the plane waiting for the spot and I was towards the back so I could have done it then. But it probably wouldn't have made any difference anyway, so I guess you're right, why bother messing with it under already stressful circumstances?? That's just the only thing I can think of that I might do differently if I ever find myself in the same situation again. But I might not. Just one more thing to think about.     I suspect that a significant fraction of those who voted for "reserve" would in fact go straight to their main on account of muscle memory taking over in a time of stress. That's why I exited with my left hand already on my reserve handle, right hand nowhere near my pilot chute. I saw a lot of people in front of me exiting with their hand already on their hackey. Only thing I would have maybe done different?? Disconnected the RSL. I forgot to do that, but I'm really not sure what difference it would have made.     My dog believes the best way to tell someone she's excited to see them is to run between their legs, and the best way to tell someone she loves them is to lick their face.     Popsjumper basically stood in the door and gave us an exit signal, so there was enough exit separation between jumpers. He yelled "GO!" and gestured with his arm. He did a great job, and it helped keep the exit nice and orderly.
