I've not been off student status long and my main instructor just offered me what I think is a pretty good deal. He has a size 150 main canopy for sale and he's letting it go to me for about $1200. There's still a lot more info. I need to get before I decide to buy it but I'm wondering if the size is appropriate. I am 5"1 and weigh about 115. I've done very well with canopy control but am concerned about downsizing too fast. He obviously thinks I can handle it and I don't believe he's just trying to get money. What do you guys think? 0:1:0 Did a hop n' pop from 4200 due to low clouds. Had an awesome stand-up landing....only ones who saw it were a bunch of cows. They seemed impressed

My sis has been after me for several months to get still pics of myself in freefall. I figured it had something to do with her Christmas present to me...and I found out exactly what today. I came home to find a box from fed ex and when I saw what was inside...it made my day. My sister, who lives in CA, had all of my skydiving photos published in a book. She personally narrated each one and wrote up a dedication to me on the second page. She really went to a lot of trouble and put so much thought into it. Of course the fact that we did tandems together made it extra special...I got to see her leave the plane. What really made me emotional were the things she wrote, just a few... "Sometimes we feel more grounded and alive when our feet aren't on the gound." "Live life to the fullest, little sister." She is awesome! I posted the first page of the book, and a couple of pictures of us. I'm the one with the short hair as children and I'm in the pink as adults. Both Grandmas....My paternal grandma is Kathleen and my maternal grandma was Anna Laura. So Dad came up with Kathleen Anne. My sister, who came 16 months before me, is named "Yemia". They were still in their "hippie mode" when they had her. The funny thing is she married a Japanese-American and her name is now Yemia Hashimoto...his name is Mark
