I have never heard of that, at all.

You can't make that conclusion from the data you have presented. Just because in England a higher percentage of burglaries are done with some one in the house does not mean that Brits are more likely to face an intruder in their house. You would still have to take into account number of burglaries and population size. You are usually well prepared with your data. Sometimes your conclusions seem to be somewhat twisted to fit your agenda though.

Well, I have to say that if I would ever find myself in that situation I like the ideas that winsor and Aggie dave put forward in their posts. It at leasts gives the burglar an option to live. However, the chances of me owning a gun are slim. The chances that I would own a gun and keep it in my bedroom are even slimmer

Democrats bite their own noses to spite their faces

So, once again the problem in this case isn't with the bill but with the people making decisions for your local police department. -
Funny enough I don't think men and women are that different. I know plenty women who would not consider ugly men, regardless of their personality. Just watch a show like Average Joe, I think that says about enough.

And would that bill have applied to law enforcement agencies? -
Not all of them, but some certainly do.

She landed still inside part of the plane though, so isn't quite the same. Though it was from 34,000 ft or similar altitude.

I have to call bullshit. The lack of proper armament for the lapd has nothing to do with a ban at the federal level. It has everything to do with decision made by LA city council. I thought this bill was partly about a continuation of a ban, a ban that was already in place during the time we speak of. -

I am not sure I understand what you are trying to say. Didn't the cops go to the local gun store to get better weapons. So those would be legal weapons available to the public through legal means which are better than the cops' guns? If I am seeing that part right than the problem is with the decisions made in outfitting your police department and has nothing to do with any ban. -
Google Videolan and download their free vlc video player. It will play any and all video and sound files. The program is truly amazing.

Yup and in most otehr civilized countries in the world those types of suits get thrown out of court before they cost any or at least very little money money. -

So, the mighty NRA with all its millions, or could that even be billions and the mighty multi-billion dollar gun industry against another mighty wealthy opponent. I call that capitalism. I still don't understand your problem with gun manufacturers getting sued. The problem might with your judicial system and lawsuit crazy society, but I guess it makes sense to make another law to try and prevent what is already flawed. -
I don't think there was ever an official war declaration, was there?
-
But, don't you understand, it is all different now. You are obviously not a patriot.

I think in every industry it is prudent to at least give other companies the option of proving they would be capable of handling these items/services. I think good business/governing would call for competitive bids especially when the VP used to be/still is tied to the company. If Halliburton really was the only company who could provide these services, why not go through a bid process to show that to the American public?

Thanks for answering

So, if pro-Bush adds start trashing Kerry, how would that sway your opinion on Bush?
-
What is funny is that currently a slight majority would pick Kerry over Bush. It is certainly not the landslide victory many Bush supporters have been claiming it will be. But it is not over, not by a long shot. Bush still has about $150 million to start playing with. It will be interesting to see how it all plays out. edited caus i cant spel

Really, then please tell me why Haliburton is the only company capable of supplying US Troops with laundry service? Or meal service? Or build shelter? Or deliver mail?
