  1. Tue to a point. When I went to perris, granted it was a Friday, I was quickly introduced to a freefly LO. I thought that was great. Coming from a smaller DZ I certainly did not have any experience with LOs. After some 30 second small talk with the LO, he told me he would be back shortly. He spent the rest of the day jumping with his buddies and I ended up doing solos for most of the day.......
  2. cool, let us know where we can find the MP3s.
  3. Yes I would pay for TalkBack, however I fear that it would not be the forum it once was in a paid form.
  4. To me there a couple of seperate issues lumped in together and I am not sure there is one solution to solve the seperate issues. I think it would be nice to have a feature like Clownburner's known/unknown idea, specially if it is pulished information as to who vouched for the person. It allows you to use your common sense, yet cut down on the time required to get to know some one. I think it would be even better if this rating was somewhat forum specific. Obviously if my "known rating" is high in TalkBack, that means nothing when I make a post in the BASE forum. Seperate is the issue of identifying "experts". I think it would be a great feature if there was a way to instantly see if some one is a "known expert" in the field they are giving advice on. Maybe this could be in the form of a locked field in their profile where HH or some of the greenies can provide further information on that person. Lets say a two-liner bio indicating who that person is. An icon or symbol could be placed next to this persons name when they post to indicate that such info is available on their profile. Maybe it is even possible to only display that icon when they post in a forum that is tied to their expertise. These suggestions do not take the place of common sense. They just help you reach a sensible conclusion faster. Sangiro, I think you have done an amazing job with this website. It was very interesting to find out how many of these features are well thought out during the short talks at WFFC and are not just blind luck It will be interesting to see what comes out of this.

  12. There really is too little information in that article to make any kind of informed decision on the incident. At first glance it looks like a complete backwards assinine conviction. But then, there are multiple plausible scenarios where the conviction makes perfect sense.
  13. Funny, two different people in two different threads said that to the same person. You'd think that person would start to comprehend

  15. If my wife had a valid reason for the ultimatum I would definitely have the conversation with her and see where that goes. My wife and soon to be born baby are more important to me than anything else in life. To me being in a relationship means doing anything to make my partner as happy and comfortable as possible. We already compromise on weekends and there are days I don't skydive so we can spend time together, and I love those days. If she gave me that ultimatum just to spite me, than obviously there are already some other issues at play.
  16. I have no clue what any of you guys are talking about

  21. I ahve my wireless network at home set up with MAC filtering and supposedly it will only recognize my lappie. I understand MAC can be pretty easily spoophed. If someone wants to sit outside my house and do that, go for it. I really don't have much to hide. If I did it would be encrypted on my hard drive anyways.
  22. I am not sure I completely understand this point.
  23. As some of you may know, my wife is pregnant and due to deliver on April 18. I am trying to come up with the pros and cons of circumcision and if we should have this operation performed if we have a son. For us there are no religious reasons pro or con. I would certainly like to hear the opinion of those on the forums.
