    You are right, Clinton made mistakes. But GWB he never makes or made any mistakes. he is perfect. He never does anything wrong. If somebody says he may have done something wrong, we'll just say that Clinton made mistakes too. And Clinton's mistakes are by definition worse than GWB's mistakes.     It is the belief of the Canadian Justice System that kids under 12 do not have the legal mental capacity to understand their actions and hence are by definition not punishable.

    Whatever happened to the "scandal" that involved him and some women who he was supposedly porking on the side, and she was asked to flee the country etc etc. ?

    That line was preceded by a line explaining that those who do not live locally will be asked to leave the immediate area and can be prohibited to return to the area for up to 24 hours. I am sure there are many 9 year olds hanging out in bad parts of town while they realy live 100 miles away. In Canada anyone under 12 can not be charged with a crime.

    Ahh, but lawyers in high-profile cases will then have to put their money where their mouth is in the court room. There is a public record of how the lawyer performed and one can see if much of what this person was stating on television had any ring of truth to it, or if they were just talking out of their ass. (yes I know lawyers lie and that there is deceit and no system is perfect etc etc, but I am sure you get the gist of it)

    IIRC she was asked to come and testify und oath. She declined, for the reasons you guys specify, but agreed to meet them privately. If it would have stayed at that, I think that would have been a very good compromise. To me, what changed things is two fold. The current administration sought to declassify information protected under a similar scenario. Second, Rice decided to hit every talk show.

    I am not trying to be a smart ass at all, but I don't understand that sentence.

    True, those that have a management structure of some size in place. My job entails managing people who are experts in their field, ranging from security to boiler operations, certainly not things I am an expert in. Whether I do that in my current job or in a completely different field, really doesn't make much difference.

    That still doesn't explain the cause and vision of the US with regard to Iraq. The US is not completely clean on the killing of innocent civilians either.

    Please do tell me then, what is the cause and or vision of the US with regards to Iraq? What makes US citizens so much superior over Iraqi citizens? Like Wendy so eloquently stated, I think you'll find that all our basic needs are very, very similar.

    To keep you example going. But you can't claim confidentiality after you have just spent two weeks hitting every talk show on national television that will listen to you. Unless off course she has been lying on the talk shows and doesn't want to lie under oath?

    Not that odd really, you see the same thing in pretty much all organizations, both private, public and government.

    Or she could lie in her 60 Minutes interview. I am not saying she did, but it is a possibility you left out for some reason. Since, according to you, she has no problem with speaking the truth on national television, I don't understand why you have such a problem with her speaking the truth, under oath, on national television.
