  1. Same thing as referring to Kerry as Skerry and Dimocrats and all kinds of plays on words...don't act like this is the first you have ever seen of this....
  2. I think the US does a pretty good job of that all themselves I don't think it is a big secret that both the US and Canada are using other regimes to torture detainees for them...or allow it to happen on their soil...enough stories floating around if you are interested in finding out...
  3. Well at least that side has somebody saying she didn't so it. the other side is throwing the accusation around but so far has nobdy claiming that she did.... Unfortunately, in your case if anybody associated with Bush says something you will take it for gospel...so indeed, why are we having this discussion?
  4. because it is the most logical thing and I am not overly hindered by a blind faith in my chosen leader who I will follow and defend no matter what.....
  5. Since they hadn't found him yet, how would they have known?
  6. because her employment status with the CIA was classified as she worked with and without official cover in a covert role....until she was outed as payback for her husband exposing the lie used to justify a war....
  7. Well, that is just it. Regular jumpers know the attitude of many skydivers when it comes to this... However, there is a big business side to this as well, one that is driven by perception. If the perception is that the company throws a nice big party when one of their customers craters and they can't find the body, well that perception isn't to favourable for future customers.
  8. Talking down to others to make oneself look better is a well known side effect of SMS. Plame's own family did not know she worked for the CIA...that would make her job some what covert, don't you think?

you mean he didn't have a cannon large enough for those 155mm shells with some outdated sarin in it, to hit the US or the UK? one of the previous posters brought those up as the found WMD. Sounds like one hell of an argument indicating that Bush was right all along....Or as a poster before him indicated, Bush may have legitimately lied, because sometimes that is just better.... Yeah, but it feels great to stand up, point your finger and shout: But they thought it too......

The question would be when they stopped having them.....

Ohhh man, you have me rolling on the floor... Okay...Bush didn't lie about the whole WMD and the reason fow war thingy....but then he lied about there NOT being a connection between Iraq and AQ?? you crack me up....
  12. Because the US (and other countries) have decided to run an aconomy as close to capitalism as they can.
  13. Such an assinine statement..... First one would have to wonder if total elimination is the only measure of success... Second, no law is 100% effective, hence do you propose there should be no laws? No laws against drunk driving? No laws against drug use? No laws against gay marriage? No laws against abortion? No laws against running a red light? No laws against raping 12 year old girl? the list goes on and on.... That side of your argument makes absolutely no sense....

Oh, so your president did lie about the whole thing...Thankfully his lie only killed a couple of thousand people....the previous idiot in that office lied about a blowjob...now that is really bad.....

Exactly, which also immediately negates the argument that the US is in Iraq mainly for humanitarian reasons.
  16. Really? What would happen if OPEC for instance starts another oil embargo? How about China invades Taiwan? The thought that the US can do what ever they want and other countries should just bow to them...is dumb. I agree that the US plays the loudest role....you seem to forget that the real power players are usually very silent. True...normally...the difference here is that China is a communist country. They could care less about the people that live there....There is a small rich majority, that will remain rich if China decieds to implement economic sanctions....the rest of the country will remain poor... Gawain...your talk about the currency is a little one sided. What do you think might happen to all those cheap products at Target and WalMart when that currency isn't linked anymore? What do you think the effect on your economy would be..... I would call it more pandemic than endemic, since it is certainly not contained to just Canada...... That sentence alone makes me happy I didn't go to school here and sad my children will have to.....
  17. No, the US just makes the most noise. I think many people outside the US think Americans are ignorant, because statements like this keep surfacing. China could cripple your economy almost instantly...and what are you going to do....invade them? That could be interesting....
  18. So you only date white women, because any otehr woman is not attractive to you...which you are perfectly fine with. But, if some one decided (equally asinine in my book) that they only find black women attractive, it is because they want to be PC? Yup, that makes perfect sense.... Hey Steel, have a bit of a heritage inferiority complex? Maybe nothing about your heritage is worth remembering, so that's why you have to keep explaining it......
  19. you mean Canada is the principle supplier of Enerby to the US....wow...imagine that...wonder what would happen if I turn the tap off and send it to China in stead? maybe the US will invade Saudie next....
  20. Excellent idea. That pipe line that runs from Alaska through Canada...gone.... All the oil you get from us...gone.... Cheap lumber so you can quickly and cheaply rebuild hurricane torn areas...gone... Take your car plants out, fine, we ban the sale of American cars in Canada. Demand is quickly replaced by forein product (a better product at that) in order to meet higher demand they will need increased production facilities...guess what, we even have the buildings to give them..... yeah, we will lose out a lot too, but hey, this won't be easy on the US either. And there won't be any seniors getting cheap medication either..... JohnRich...your statement about smuggling laws is just plain laughable.... No law has stopped murder, no law has stopped corruption, no law has stopped drug use, no law has stopped abortion, the list goes on and on. The statement makes absolutely no sense... (sueing the US gun manufacturers is horeshit as well, unless there is proof that they did what the US tobacco industry did previously....)
  21. Funny, your sec of state is here asking our military for help.....maybe sniper lessons? I'd be surprised if you could find Canada on a map....matter of fact, I'd be surprised if you could find the USA on a map... Wendy for you:
  22. What is really funny is that it is rumoured that perjury charges will flow from the investigation into the CIA operative leak. A slew of Republicans have already started damage control and have been making statements along the lines of: perjury isn't that serious, this investigation has been a waste of money if perjury is all that flows from it, etc etc. Personally, I would rather have my country's leader lie about getting head than one of his most senior staffers lie about leaking the name of an CSIS operative. But with the religious right leading your country, I have this feeling many will feel lieing about a blowjob is much more serious.... (thank god he used a cigar on her and not a dildo or I think he would have been elligable for the death penalty )
  23. Obviously it isn't, otherwise why is it still against the law?
