Meh, bit of a semantics argument. Most churches clearly dictate what they expect from their members. Giving money, helping the poor, helping the disabled, sharing for the greater good, etc are all pretty much the same across all denominations. They are all also pretty socialistic.

I don't have much of a choice when having a "conversation" with a self-admitted troll.

Riots over a shoting turn into free jordans and 40's
SkyDekker replied to Anvilbrother's topic in Speakers Corner
No, it is the same as having an issue with fellow tandem masters investigating the accusations of rape by other tandem masters and routinely and quickly stating there was no issue with inappropriate touching. There are good cops and there are bad cops. Good cops don't like busting bad cops, cause it throws a bad light on cops. Hence, things get brushed under the carpet. In rare cases these transgressions include killing another human being. Sometimes it is the lessor offense of "beating the shit" out of some one. It is this perception, real or not, of this constant brushing under the carpet, that gets people irritated. -

Riots over a shoting turn into free jordans and 40's
SkyDekker replied to Anvilbrother's topic in Speakers Corner
That's how it's done most all the time! In baton rouge if there is a shooting by the sheriff, the city police or state police will investigate for them. They also conduct an inside investigation obviously, but the next department up does the primary. That's also how I always see it done in every shooting that involved a death by officer. In fact I have never heard of a shooting where the department that shot someone and killed them was the only ones doing an investigation. Once again your taking one or two shootings and applying it to all the 600,000 active duty officers, when that's not the case. And what we have been saying is that society doesn't trust one cop shop to investigate another cop shop. The Blue Line is perceived to be too strong to allow for a fair investigation. -

I think cop shops are terrified of adressing this. -
If you ever served, and then been on the receiving end, you MIGHT understand his statement. Or there could be cultures where being a soldier isn't as glorified as the US has made it. (need the cannon fodder to keep the "defense" industry alive) Glory upon those who serve their patriotic duty and fight for their country. Death while fighting for freedom is glorious.

You have a list where established media is making these assertions? -

Are you saying young black males are being shot regualarly by police? If so, please shoe me the stories But you really do not have to look. It is rare that it happens Now, young black males are shooting each other everyday but this is not what we are talking about Remember, the rest of your point I generally agreed with You see emotions boil over because there is already a very strained relationship. The protests over the shooting are a culmination, the shooting was just the incident that triggered it. There is a very clear perception among most black communities that police deal with them differently than with white people. AGAIN I agreed with the strained relationships This is not just happening with the blacks but that is aside But, to infer that police are killing young black males regularly is a lie and and bunch of shit meant only to stir emotions And the simple fact that you nor anyone else can provide a bunch of stories that indicate otherwise, validates my point AGAIN Nobody is making that assertion. -
Jesus had to have been one of the first communists around. When you hate communists so vehemently, how can you supposedly love Jesus so much at the same time?

Does Human Rights = Constitutionally protected rights?

No, owning guns is much more important than caring for the poor, downtrodden, sick and malnourished. -
Picture I took of a working sheepdog last December in Patagonia (Argentina). No predators there except humans. They used to show herding competitions on the BBC. Always enjoyed watching that as a kid.

This Changes Everything: Capitalism vs The Climate by Naomi Klein
SkyDekker replied to rushmc's topic in Speakers Corner
A fine definition of US capitalism. Not sure why you are objecting so vehemently. I doubt you would want money distributed equally? -
As far as why do foreigners care? Because you are posting it on a foreigner's forum, hosted in a foreign country. Anyways, back to using dead americans to make you feel better ron!
-
Exactly, you get all patriotic and cry over dead Americans when it suits your political team. You couldn't care less about thousands of dead Americans soldiers, because that suits your political team betetr. The important part is your political team...the dead soldiers are just pawns to be used for arguments. It is sickening. I guess the good thing is that we get decent insight into your character. I would hide in the mountains too.

The Independent People's Republic of Jockistan
SkyDekker replied to Skyrad's topic in Speakers Corner
I hope they succeed.... Hopefully that will fan the flames of the Quebec seperatists, so we can get rid of those freeloaders here! -
Exactly, you are only interested if dead Americans can win you political points on a website. Nice to know that dead country men mean so much to you. A true patriot you are!

Is this true about the Obama administration? Lefties debunk
SkyDekker replied to mirage62's topic in Speakers Corner
Yes, at a local level. I am talking about the repatriation right when landing on home soil. This means, every single one...not just dispersed locally. Again, doing so keeps attention away from the total number.. I know...silly. -
I think you have to be an extremely dispicable person to be outraged over supposed mistakes leading to the death of 4, but have no issue with the supposed mistakes leading to the death of thousands.....based solely on the political affiliation.

With your sentence structure, grammar and spelling issues I am not sure what you are really saying here. Are you advocating it might be better if "the people" don't vote, but a different form of government/leadership is established? no, I am saying that the uninformed are putting in office what we have today. I don't think they are uninformed at all. They are extremely informed, the question is what information they are getting and chosing to believe. Further, the bipolarization of your society (and to some extent the Canadian society as well) is causing people to vote "for us" or "against them". The candicate or issues aren't important anymore. Lastly, the US has a strong base of people who are almost completely single issue voters. Abortion and Gun Rights being on top of the list of deciding factors.

Did G W Bush attend the funeral(s) of any service member while he was in office? I do not know. However, I do think it should be part of this type of discussion. JerryBaumchen He did. Actually images and news on casualties being repatriated was very much hidden as much as possible. Contrast that with what happened in Canada, where people would stand at all highway overpasses paying their respects, which the family and casket travelled down the Highway of Heroes. Pretty clear Bush didn't want any attention brought to casualties. But, who cares about any of that. This was a general, and there is a very clear and strong tradition of the President attending those funerals. At least that is what I read on a website, so it must be true!! -

they will NEVER give up the Bush lied bs Even though before he even became a canidate, the clintons, kerry and many other said what Bush was saying Their reality has no basis in fact but if they say it enough times they can get the school text books to rewrite history for them I don't think Bush lied. I do think that Bush and Co. made it very clear what intelligence should be brought forward and what intelligence should be buried. I think the intelligence agencies were used to drum up justification for a fait accompli. Ya. This is other made up story Indeed, the yellow cake, mushroom cloud, we know where the chemical weapons are....it was indeed all a made up story. Then you went in and inadvertently caused the rise of ISIS.. Team America, Fuck Yeah....

So why is this more important than the complete fuck up on intelligence and justification that lead to thousands of dead american soldiers in Iraq?
