  1. No, but any money required to rescue, or recover those who deliberately engage in these activities should be borne by the user, not the public.
  2. yeah it was Florida...Orlando, then over to Port Canaveral to jump on a ship.
  3. Week running after the kids at Disney....then a week relaxing on a cruise. Great way to spend time together.
  4. Yep, one day maybe Canada will grow a set..... Naaaaa never happen. *** And maybe at the same time your soldiers will one day figure out they aren't always fighting to defend the freedom of Americans. Hell MAYBE one day Canada will decide there is something WORTH fighting for................ Naaaaa never happen. I see history isn't really your strong suit. Canada has a pretty decent history of stepping up when required. Iraq simply didn't fit those parameters. No American Freedom was protected. There was no threat to the US, or any other part of the Western world. Iraq was not involved with 9/11. Other than the personal ego of your President at the time, there was no reason to go to war with Iraq.
  5. You didn't read the article.
  6. For a variety of reasons I am a huge fan of video monitoring of ALL law enforcement activities. If a cop is on the up and up, it is entirely to his benefit. If a cop wishes to have a customized account of events, there is a dispassionate record that limits prevarication. Under oath law enforcement gets a pass. In theory they are subject to draconian sanctions for perjury, in practice not so much. BSBD, Winsor This! times 1,000,000
  7. LOL There is no way the US is willing to turn their back on Saudie Arabia. You guys created this mess with a father/son dick swinging contest. You could at least have the common decency to clean up the mess you have created. Maybe one day you guys will learn that not everybody wants to be like the USA. And maybe at the same time your soldiers will one day figure out they aren't always fighting to defend the freedom of Americans.
  8. Probably the same reason white cops shoot unarmed black people.
  9. Which means that when a Republican claims that with his policies enacted the economy will do better, he is completely out of touch with how the economy works......right?
  10. It was relatively stable (certainly much more stable than now) when Bush Jr. decided to have a little dick swinging contest with his Dad. Your government then used cherry picked "intelligence" to invade the country...creating this mess in the process.
  11. All the data, or the data that was in line with their objective?
  12. Except Bush of course....anything bad during his tenure was the responsibility of somebody else. Cause, as it turns out, invading Iraq a second time was about as goat-fuck-stupid a thing as anybody could have done.
  13. Only stupid men deal with women like that. I was once stupid. Then I decided it was smarter to be with a woman who didn't play games.
  14. I don't believe Kallend does, but perhaps you should consider that some other people posting on here might. Amen! Would that be you? I made a poke at kallend because he believes he is an authority on all subjects because he has a PhD. As it happens, I teach quantum mechanics, which IS the topic under discussion here. Quantum mechanics - testable and found accurate to the limit of experimental accuracy, error less than 1 part in 10 Trillion. Theology - not one shred of evidence in support of any of its tenets. Yeah but can Quantum Mechanics explain why you feel joy sailing the Aegean basking in the sun with a lovely lady by your side?
  15. And yet murderers get away scott free every day due to not enough evidence. So you think it would be okay to increase the number of innocents convicted to increase the number of guilty convicted? As long as none of the innocents are you and/or people you care about right? This whole topic is a pretty decent manifestation of NIMBY.
  16. And it is perfectly logical to think that somebody who can be trusted to carry a firearm can not be trusted to have a drink, even when he doesn't have a firearm with him.
  17. Let's take a very republican industry, defence. DO you think they are concerned with funding? Do you think they might use their clients to keep funding flowing?
  18. Both nbcwashington.com articles I read about the case are so ambiguous as to that, that I really can't tell. The linked article mentioned that the mother had taken the stand to identify her daughter in pictures. What isn't clear is her state of dress in those pictures. However, since the mother had to testify to identify her daughter, I am assuming it wasn't a selfie with a big smile....
  19. So Washington believes a person can use a firearm to defend and possibly die for his country, but is not good enough to be licensed to own one. Yeeeeaaaaaahhhhhh - um . . . OK. And in Texas....he would be allowed. But, he can't be trusted to sit in a bar and have a beer.
  20. More and more people like to be told what they already agree with? The population is getting stupider?
  21. For me, it is now pretty obvious that you simply do not know much about the federal budgeting process. You should stick to what you do know. JerryBaumchen Likewise, I was referring to the profit motive of business, not federal budgeting. I think we all can agree that the federal government does not seek profitable ventures. Nor should the federal government (or government at any level) be solely basing decisions on profit. You simply cannot run a government like a business.
  22. Excellent point. Guess they don't always get it right either.... The drugs used with animals appeasr to be similar to those use don humans. Except that the drug companies are not willing to sell their product to kill humans, where they are willing to sell it to kill animals. The compounding pharmacies have very limited oversight, with no guarantee that their product is as effective as it should be.
