There IS a problem with global warming... it stopped in 1998

That's like asking for the one case of lung cancer that was irrefutably caused by smoking. It shows a gross misunderstanding of the subject. -

Ah you think anecdotes from newspapers is the same as data and study. Can't say I am overly surprised. (never mind that some of those articles are pretty questionable.) -

No you said: I think we know Then when challenged you said: it is a measurable, recreatable set of circumstances. Now you don't know? -

Really? So where is the study that shows this: What would happen to the paychecks if the climatologists spoke out against AGW? -

Oh, here you do know. But if homosexuality is a choice, you don't know, cause there are also people who believe in God. -
Half the population has an IQ below 100. Doesn't mean you have to follow them.
-
Then you must believe that being homosexual is a choice. Hasn't that been debunked enough?
-
Is being heterosexual a lifestyle?

Clinton foundation investigated and all is good. Trump foundation investigated and shut down. Trump and kids barred from running charities for a while. To sum it up: Trump supporters won't care. It isn't about actual facts, it is about who talks the loudest.

Might be splitting hairs here, but adding my opinion. I think religion or a belief in an invisible being with power is human kind's natural reaction to loathing unclear circumstances. We tend to want to be able to explain what is going on. The ongoing search for "why". I think organized religion has always been about power and the ability or need to control. Morality is just the other side of the coin of "or else".

The Republicans have wiped their ass with Article 1, Section 9, Clause 8 of the US Constitution. This indicates why that is a problem. This leads to the US making foreign policy decisions and possible armed conflict decisions biased by the President's personal holdings.

That's fucking hilarious after posting a Daily Mirror link.
-
Usually backup is required with the claim, not with the dismissal. Pretty basic concept.
-
Which basically is the reason Bush Jr. went back to Iraq. Which directly led to the mess we are in now.
-
Fair enough.

Yeah I have seen that before, though they appear to base their conclusion mostly on prior decades. My comment was more based on the idea that if STD rates are increasing, it is likely that rates of unprotected sex are increasing. With that unwanted pregnancies should be increasing as well.
-
Of course your hero stated that Obama would start a war with Iran to get himself re-elected. Do you think those statements should be considered in light of this strike?
-
If abortion rates are declining, but STD rates are increasing it is likely the drop in abortion rates is due to lack of access. I don't think that is good news.
-
I have no problem with the targeted strike on Soleimani. Bad man meets a bad end, I won't be shedding tears over that. My issue is that I have zero faith in Trump thinking through ramification and outcomes and appears to be solely guided by his ego. I am afraid that could lead to disastrous results.

Switzerland has about a quarter of the guns per 100 people compared to the US.
-
Why? The argument was that there were societies with higher gun ownership. That was in response to me saying that the high availability of guns plays a factor. Guns per 100 people is a pretty sound statistics for both those points. Secondly, I think it is pretty hilarious that you are trying to argue that the disparity between 15 and 120 guns per 100 people must be equalized by a few people owning a lot of guns. Of course while arguing that I am trying to massage the data.
-
Maybe you don't understand data.

Reunion is the African territory with the highest number of guns per 100 people at 19.6. If we only look at continental Africa it is Namibia with 15.4 guns per 100 people. The US is at 120.4 guns per 100 people. Your comment makes absolutely no sense.
