  1. Just speaking about high G exposure....I do 9 G's at 15 second intervals groudning out to 5 G's for 15, then a rapid to 7 for 15 and so on and so on. All without a G suit and its fine on the body with the proper AGSM applied. The only damage my body has experienced are the random G-easles I get from busted caps. from the damn seat in the fuge, but rapid onset and vice/versa to high G loads is ok......at least in my experience. I also believe the ejection seat trainer puts you at around 18 for a sec. but I could be off a little. Cant remember the exact G load on that thing. 4. About 1/5 painstaking hours.... Brand new at packing and brand new pilot 150. I'm good till the second S fold...then all hell breaks loose. I get my knee on one side to keep pressure, grab the other with my hand to start sliding (suffing) into the bag and everything goes to shit. 6. What style martial arts? If grappling is any part of your style at all (even a little) I would go with a gecco suit. Awsome and you will NOT wear one out. They are a little on the heavy side, but you get used to them. I use one in my style (very very fluid) and have no restrictions. As for belts....dont use them so cant help. Sorry... 8. Somehow I missed this that thread that answered all of my questions. Tired and on comp. dont bide well. You can lock this thread John. Got all the info. I needed. Thanks SONIC WOODY #146 There is a fine line between cockiness and confidence -- which side of the line are you on?
  9. John thanks for the packing info. This is pushing me towards the smart. Vec: My primary concern in what reserve is better from the experience of people using/have used both. I'm sure the stats on both are the same (at least after my searching) but wanted to hear some FRESH info. My wingloading is fine on both and not a concern. Thats why I was specific about the size of each and didnt just say PD and Smart. Do you have any info. on these two reserves other than the concern of my wingloading? (not meant to be rude...you might have REAL info. on these) thanks again SONIC WOODY #146 There is a fine line between cockiness and confidence -- which side of the line are you on?
  10. which one? I jump an Icon (if that even matter) and looking at buying a new reserve. Question 2: Is the PD 143 smaller than the smart 150? Thanks SONIC WOODY #146 There is a fine line between cockiness and confidence -- which side of the line are you on?
  11. Never knew about the squares. So when a reserve is repacked....if their are no more squares available, the rigger will consider the canopy not-airworthy...correct? Or will the rigger still go through with the repack and oh well. SONIC WOODY #146 There is a fine line between cockiness and confidence -- which side of the line are you on?
  12. I wear a pair of etnies with single not. Hell I dont think I even tied one of my shoes when I flew...just had the laces tucked in the shoe. No problems with either. SONIC WOODY #146 There is a fine line between cockiness and confidence -- which side of the line are you on?
  13. About once a month a thread gets started on "what should I buy for my first rig" and everyone gives the same speech.......used v/s new......etc. Now on this last thread I noticed that no one is recommending a used reserve. Is there a reason for this? I would like to hear both sides to this one. Why its ok and what to look for and whats your life worth...why would you buy a used reserve. LOL All replies welcome... 15. 1 Blue pilot + 1 week in eloy = 1 dirty canopy Actually, its just dirty on the top skin. Can I clean it and how....with what and still have a canopy left. SONIC WOODY #146 There is a fine line between cockiness and confidence -- which side of the line are you on?
  16. Actually, the decision will be all mine. Just looking at what else is out there. I've lost touch with whats available on the outside a little so I'm asking. And actually got the offer I was looking for. SONIC WOODY #146 There is a fine line between cockiness and confidence -- which side of the line are you on?

    Scuba?

I do both quite regularly and even posted this same question about a year ago. The best answer I got about the similarities of the two were ... cost and equipment. SONIC WOODY #146 There is a fine line between cockiness and confidence -- which side of the line are you on?

  20. The year starts again in April (correct), so is it prorated if I jump this month, or is it best to just wait till next month? Billy SONIC WOODY #146 There is a fine line between cockiness and confidence -- which side of the line are you on?
  21. I'd go with femur. Skydiver/Basers will know exactly what it means (some better than others) and whuffos will just think you named your dog after a bone in your leg. Kind of an inside joke amongst your family in the sky. Just dont femur in after you name her.......of course, then the name would even be more funny around your home DZ. um...pics???? 22. LOL! True, I did forget that I posted this on DZ.COM and didnt get extremely detailed on what I wanted to do. Still waiting for the "I need to talk to an instructor or people I've taken vid with", and "My vid numbers are too low to worry about that yet" advice though. And dont worry, its not a 2 inch dvd I'm watching. still a few more downsizes before I get there. AWSOME

Actually, I wasnt...but had a blast anyway. I finally flew in a wind tunnel. Sunday the 12th did 5 minutes at bedford UK and what an awsome experience. First two were definetely an eye opener on how different a tunnel v/s a real jump where....next two went a lot better. Had a blast on all 4 though. I'm also very happy I purchased the vids....after watching them I learned more about my flying then ever....and WTF where my damn feet doing? [blush Thanks Bedford staff for a wonderful experience and I'll see everyone again on the 12th.
