  3. I need to get some things signed off of my uspa card and need it ASAP. I'm flying into SC sometime in the beginning of January (hopefully before new years, so I can make it to Z-Hills) and would like to get a minimum of 10 coached jumps in (weather depending of course). I'll only be there for one week and would like to get things set up now. Please PM me if interested or have any info on this. I have everything on list except rig. What should I be looking at for rig? After researching canopies and PC's I know they are larger than what I skydive with. Not sure how much larger I need...or what brand for a beginner. Rig (pin/velcro) just need some direction on what a new BASE jumper should start on. I'm not jumping yet.... Repeat...NOT JUMPING YET... I'm signing up for JohnnyUtahs BASE CAMP this summer and after reading his website and I would like to own my own equipment for class. I'm trying to get an idea of how much equipment will cost me and could use a little advice on size canopy/pilot chute and what rig for a beginner to buy. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I've also PM's Johnnyutah since he sells equiment, just posting this thread for other ideas, and hopefully to catch anyone awake right now. My first 6a+

Use your legs A LOT more and start building your forearms up. Weight training, peg wall, and rock gym all will help. You can also do finger pullups. They will help a little too. Oh yeah, Congrats on your sixer...... SONIC WOODY #146 There is a fine line between cockiness and confidence -- which side of the line are you on?

  23. I agree. We should clarify the beef. We had different "beefs". His was the packer, mine was everything I posted. I woud like to point out that we both also posted that the DZ/packer may have just been having a bad day. I'm not writing target off completely, just posting my experience and that I would never go back without a regular. You sig line rocks brotha! SONIC WOODY #146 There is a fine line between cockiness and confidence -- which side of the line are you on?
  24. WOW! Here we are again discussing Target. Being I was one of the "friends" with fitz on this day I have to agree with him. We got no love from anyone at the DZ and fitz is just trying to be nice and not flame the whole DZ. The manifest was a little snotty and didnt seem to care if we jumped or not, the jumpers were cliquish (no one even spoke to us...even when we initiated convo), and the packer...well fitz covered the packer. It just seemed that unless you were part of the regulars, you didnt matter. So, oh well. Probably just a bad day at the DZ or whatever but I cant be bothered. If I ever went back it would only be with some regulars that jump there. Then hopefully the experience would be better. Just my 0.2 worth. 25. Not a choice. I started Skydiving and am getting interested in base. Billy SONIC WOODY #146 There is a fine line between cockiness and confidence -- which side of the line are you on?
