FIRST JUMP - 17,400 FEET! please comment!

Highest jump I've made is 30,000 feet; that required oxygen in the aircraft and a bailout bottle. At those altitudes the sky starts to turn purplish, and 99% of weather (and most of the atmosphere) is below you. 30,000 ft rocks. Done a few...unfortunately had a lot more gear on than just he O2 setup. Congrats on your first HALO, exciting world up there. Nice to see another ROMAD in the house. J1C471 here for 6 1/2 years. Got out in 2000 to move on to bigger and better things. You left just before all the fun. We'll have to meet up at a DZ sometime. Advanced Statistical Training? Don't worry your AF long hair cuts over the brainy stuff, the Navy can handle the smart stuff like they always do. That and the really tough flying too. Anti Terrorism Specialty Team. Guess thats why the squids have their names on their asses. Dont you mean the really tough landings? Never thought of these: If you run out of air in either sport, you're screwed. Communication is difficult beyond body language and hand signals. They are both time-limited (air supply/altitude) Good points. Three points turned for Hook on this thread.
