The "Why Republicans Lost" thread

Thank you -- very well-put. My sentiments exactly. Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up. -
The "Why Republicans Lost" thread

Because of bullshit like this that demonstrates how far out of touch with reality they have become. Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up. -
Thousands of liberals and democrats do this every year. I did it shortly after graduating college in the 90s by going to NYC and working hard (a democrat was in the white house at the time) and earning plenty since. I never had to depend on a handout or a "nanny state." Nor did any other liberals or democrats that I know. But keep spouting this same "47%" type bullshit if it makes you feel better. As long as "conservatives" continue to spout utter bullshit like this and fail to learn from such mistakes, there will be tons more embarrassments ahead for them. Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.

Looks like God just underlined his point. Florida finally finishes its vote count and another swing state goes to Obama. Final score: 332-206 Pretty emphatic point eh? Welcome to reality. Some of the stories on this site just make me sad. What a bunch of squirming, whining babies. Republicans need to do some serious introspection, if they're even capable of that. Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.

Another thing we learned is that Florida is still a clusterfuck when it comes to the presidential election. Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.

Likely not as esteemed a legacy as those of the former two, and unless he starts an utterly unnecessary war that deepens our deficit, probably not as unfavorable a legacy as GW Bush. If the economy doesn't make a significant recovery, he may go down as a two-term Carter. Quite true. And what I like about 2012 is that this re-elected president has enough class to say in his victory speech that he intends to represent those who didn't vote for him, rather than declaring a mandate with the same kind of razor-thin margin and telling us "I have political capital and I intend to spend it." The answer is simple: short of not watching television altogether (that's me), when there are ads on the television, either channel surf or press the mute button. If you see an intrusive ad, an annoying one, or one that insults your intelligence, remember *not* to spend your money on that company's products or services. For the internet, use an ad blocker. Put your name on the do-not-call list, and write to the Direct Marketing Association so that you don't receive junk mail. This is my approach, and it works quite well for me. If this is done on a much larger scale, I think that would be the answer you're looking for. Who will win the 2012 presidential elections
masterblaster72 replied to AMax's topic in Speakers Corner
Me too. No surprise as I have voted Green many times in presidential elections. http://www.isidewith.com/results/205548221 Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up. -

I agree that there shouldn't be an issue with others watching over the US election. I don't think Americans are scared of something or defensive; rather, I think this is indicative of a post-WWII American superiority complex. At first I thought it was wrath because of the way it changed course and aimed at one of the Radical Left Wing centers in the country. Note, I learned last night from David Horowitz that it is not proper to call the Left Wing liberal. Conservatives are liberal; the Left Wing is Radical. Anyway, back to the point. The storm will make the Left Wing rely on the government and not on God so yes, it is God's wrath. How breathtakingly stupid. Sometimes I wonder if you really believe your own bullshit. I was wondering how long it would take to see a post regarding discussion that politicizes the hurricane and the president's reaction to it. To be honest, I am surprised this post arrived a couple days after the hurricane hit; I expected it sooner. I would agree about Biden, Gore and especially Quayle. However I do remember many voting for Bush in 2000 because Cheney was on the ticket and that Bush had "surrounded himself with smart and highly experienced people." To add to that, I think plenty of republicans would have been happy with Cheney in 2012 weren't it for that persistent cardiac condition of his. Obama draws praise from Chavez, Putin and Castro family

It's not a discussion. It's a slog through an avalanche of the worst kind of electioneering dog-vomit. Well-put Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up. -

So are you trying to make a point...or just illustrate to everyone else how much of an asshat you really are. So are you willfully overlooking the OP's point to get in a gratuitous a personal attack? Right-wing posters post stuff like that and worse about liberals all the time. The truth must hurt if you make it such a point to get in a dig. Absolutely the hottest year on record. What was the temperature in the year 1000BC? I don't think it was recorded. But going by that logic, everything is perfectly fine because the earth is not nearly as hot as it was during a mass extinction 250 million years ago. From what I remember, Shrub completely botched the first debate in 2004 vs. Kerry and came back swinging (and sniffling, mysteriously) in the following debates. There are two more debates and plenty of opportunity for Obama to perform better and for Romney to say something stupid enough to sway your vote back to the incumbent.
