  1. That's exactly what I thought when I read this article the other day. I think the shrill nasal voice phenomenon is far more common than "vocal fry" and I find it just as irritating. Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.
  2. The return of the Thin White Duke! The new single isn't bad...a bit sleepy and reminiscent of his sound from the album Hours, but I'll take it, considering the speculation for the last ten years that he is done making music. The album is due in March -- looking forward to hearing the rest of his new songs.
  3. Interesting documentary on the subject here if you have the time to watch it. Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.
  4. Neither does a decent wine, even if you drink a lot of it. It's also a good idea to eat plenty of food to ensure that you don't have a hangover the next day. Because it's better than beer. 5. Just had a look -- How the hell do you find this garbage? Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.
  6. Thanks Actually It has been kind of relaxing I am going to try and maintian that going forward Thanks again Marc Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.
  7. Way to duck Don's very clear and honest questions to you in the last paragraph of his post. Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.
  8. What I find interesting is that this "fiscal cliff" was hardly an issue during the campaign. I only started reading about it in internet news articles after the election was over. If this is such a big issue, why was it hardly discussed during the campaign? Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.
  9. http://www.reagancoalition.com/articles/2012/20121121003-obama-loophole.html http://darinscott.blogspot.com/2012/11/urgent-call-to-action-house-of.html?m=1 LOL. Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.
  10. Either I'm missing the sarcasm, or you fell hook line and sinker for the troll bait. Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.
  11. That's fucking scandalous. People should be taking the streets over this kind of shit. Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.
  12. Yup. I think this whinefest shows that Mitt would have looked upon the half of the country that didn't vote for him with the same contempt that W did after 2000 and 2004, had he won this election. Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.
  13. Yeah, that was exactly my reasoning for voting democratic this year. But if deluding yourself with that same bullshit repeatedly makes you somehow feel better, keep it coming. It makes for fun reading (in a sad way). Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.
  14. Sore losers -- big time. Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.
  15. Nice -- good for you! Landscaping is the work I grew up with. My father (an immigrant like you) has been running a landscaping business for years, and he still runs it (he refuses to retire). Landscaping is some damn hard work, and I was doing it during summers from before I was a teen, into my college years before taking up office work after college. I hated it then, but it taught me to work hard -- it makes office work seem like a walk in the park. I thank my father for that now. 16. You think the majority of people who voted for Obama are on welfare? Did you vote for BHO? I voted for bHo, and I've worked for everything I've had in my life since I was young, without ever getting any "free stuff" from the government. 17. Sore losers include the loser himself. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-20344750 Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.

  19. Use and storage, perhaps. But its extraction is another story and still very controversial. Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.
  20. Could you expand on the "safer" part please? I've heard that from the energy companies plenty of times, but last time I checked, fracking is still a very real threat to clean groundwater and air (either of which would be show-stoppers in my book). I would like to hear if you've heard differently lately, if you don't mind sharing. Cheers, Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.
  21. Very interesting article, and brutally true. Thanks for posting. Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.
  22. The republicans already had such a candidate in front of their face -- twice. His name is Ron Paul, and his party ignored and laughed at him. He also appealed to a comparatively broad demographic. For example, Snoop Dogg supported him. 23. Very classy, both you and Marc. Much more than can be said for the other moderator who placed a bet with him. Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.
  24. Agreed. I'm getting tired of "for all intents and purposes" and it's demented twin, "for all intensive purposes." My peeves: "We'll cross that bridge when we get there," instead of "we'll address/deal with it later." A rather new one I've been hearing lately "de minimis" -- this is one of those few instances where a phrase of more words is clearer -- "of no consequence" or "little significance." However, what bugs me most is when people phrase a question as a sentence. "Can you please forward me that email you mentioned earlier." Well, are you asking or telling me? Make up your mind! If you're telling me to do it, take out the "can you," otherwise put a goddamn question mark at the end if you're asking me. Aargh!
