  1. Where did you get the 2.5 GHz G4 , I thought the fastest they made was a dual 1.45 GHz .
  2. Early Last year i packed using 3" stows and small microline rubber bands double stowed , I had to cut away twice , I wonder if stows that tight can cause the bag to spin while pulling through the rubber bands, I changed to 2" stows with just 1 wrap and have had great openings since.
  3. I always psycho packed mine without any problems .
  4. The point is that the brakes lines had shrunk to the point of pulling the tail down in full flight , the landings just plain sucked , I think that most people that are considering the 4.0 mod are doing so because their landings suck too.
  5. That's crazy talk! Quote Timing was an important factor , I was told that the tongue switch would take some time to get in .I did not say they could not get one for me , only that they did not have any in stock now.
  6. I had a Diablo 135 and for a about 150 jumps i loved it , then slowly over time i found it harder and harder to land , I had the lines checked and found that the brake lines had shrunk almost 4 ", After putting a new set of brake lines on it was fine again but by then i found a another canopy .At A/R they told me that the brake lines should be replaced at about 200 jumps ,(something wrong there ) my Cobalt has 600 jumps on it now and is still in trim !
  7. Conceptus also makes a tongue switch which is very nice and I've just recently switched over to that. You can get the switches at Square 1. QuoteYou could try , but they sold the last one before i could put in my order , I had to settle on the bite switch .
  8. Sorry to hear about your troubles , Most of the posts in this form lately have been about cobalts slamming people , I am here to say that some Cobalts like my own work the way they are supposed to , Nice openings and great surfs, To date i would not trade my cobalt for any other canopy , I love mine .
  9. The New Update is working just fine for me , I am using a G4 500 powerbook 768 MB and the latest OS , 10.24

  11. The SLR plugs into a 2.5mm jack I got from radio shack. [email] Does the plug have to have 3 conductors for p/n/ground
  12. 24" zp kill line Jim Cazar. Quote Can you tell me where i can get one .
  13. If its a concern pick at it or for about $40 you can have a whole new mudflap installed. Quote $150.00 for both sides at the Mirage Factory , I think that is a little steep !
  14. I am considering buying a used container but it has someone elysees name on the ring covers . can the stitching be picked out and covered up somehow or does it have to be sent back to the factory to be replaced, Any suggestions or cover up's .
  15. You don,t know me. I am just a really good detective .
  16. For what other people say about the paint it's true but I prefert a good working helmet then a piece the show in a museum. Quote The extra paint would cost you a few extra $$$ ! Don't they call you El Cheapo Grande Rodriguez ?
  17. I have been reading skymonkeyOne's posts and know that he is really big on the Cobalt, H-mod and CC cobalt , I also read that he is also flying a Xaos now about 1/2 the time , so i would like to know how he would compare it with the others.
  18. There are drawbacks to any modification. In the case of the H-mod, it makes your canopy quite snivelly. How much longer will the canopy to open ?
  19. I have about 300 jumps on a Cobalt 120 at a wing loading of about 1.8 , I have been slammed only once , I feel that it was a slider problem , Since then I always make sure it is all the way up to the gromets and the tail rolled tightly (About 10 times ) to make sure it stays there , I have had nothing but soft openings since then.
  20. Looking at the video frame by frame it looks like the 4 way tracks off , You reach for your pilot chute and roll slightly to your right then pitch it and roll quickly to the left , The lines on the left side go tight first and then the right . I encountered the same problem earlier this year and have since corrected it.
  21. There is a sidewinder and a PC1 for sale right now in the Classifieds under Photography .
  22. My cobalt used to open in 2 stages and somehow i lost that part of it, After my cutaway i spent a lot of time making sure it was packed just right , I went to the Atair web site and followed the instructions to a tee. I have not had a 2 stage opening since.
  23. I bought a a G4 powerbook , It came with a cooked HD and DVD drive , The previous owner " claiming to be a Computer expert " said that it was working just fine when he shipped it , My apple dealer would disagree .
