  1. All conservatives are middle aged white racist redneck males, lacking a number of teeth, braincells, and generally sleeping with their sisters. (That's equally as true by the way.) Never try to eat more than you can lift
  2. You gotta be careful, they might be from the YMCA http://www.nbcnews.com/storyline/immigration-border-crisis/bus-blunder-arizona-gop-member-mistakes-campers-migrant-children-n157621 Never try to eat more than you can lift
  3. I had some black box ones, then some bose ones, but I've actually moved away from the noise cancelling ones and now have a pair of B&W P3's. Found the noise cancelling created a "pressure" that became quite irritating over a long time. Much happier with the new ones and the sound is waaaay better. Never try to eat more than you can lift
  4. I had to put good idea because I did it, and ended up marrying her.

  6. That sucks and I am sorry to hear of your and your friends loss. I was just thinking about this, and I didn't think it was good practice to be insured twice for the same type of cover for exactly this sort of reason? If a loss adjuster thinks they can push it off onto the other company generally they will. Never try to eat more than you can lift
  7. Being armed does not make you safe either, it still makes you a potential victim at anothers whim. Never try to eat more than you can lift
  8. That would be awesome. According to that, coal currently gets more than 10 times the subsidy that renewable energy gets. Would be nice to see the playing field levelled. Of course - prices would likely go up. Never try to eat more than you can lift

  10. No worries. British originally, Kiwi now. And coffee is as good in NZ as in Oz (some would say better!) Never try to eat more than you can lift
  11. The hydrogen required would probably be produced by cracking natural gas or methane. If that's the case, just put the natural gas in the car as a fuel. It's more in line with existing technology and infrastructure. Yeah agreed - if we are still on the fossil fuels as the infrastructure thats not ideal. Never try to eat more than you can lift
  12. Agreed - was pleasantly surprised to find the general standard and availability of good beers in the US has massively improved on my last visit to Atlanta. Coffee - not so much. (But then to be honest, London is still pretty average as well) Never try to eat more than you can lift
  13. Gotcha. Incidentally Billvon - my take on it is that these http://www.autocar.co.uk/car-news/new-cars/hydrogen-powered-toyota-fcv-arrive-next-year will eventually kill electric cars - I know the fantasy is filling your car up with water but I guess thats a way off. Thoughts? Never try to eat more than you can lift
  14. Don't you have to do engine mods to make cooking oil work though? Never try to eat more than you can lift
  15. In the UK they used (still do?) to have a thing called red diesel which was purely for agricultural use. The difference in colour was due to a dye but the BIG difference was cost. It was taxed at about 10% of standard diesel rates so was much much cheaper. You weren't allowed to put it in anything taxed for the road and could get in quite a lot of trouble for filling the family car with it I think, but pretty sure plenty of farmers would do that occasionally. 16. The article I read (can't remember where it was now - mashable?) said one way its being done is to increase the amount of diesel in the engine so it doesn't all burn properly and leaves as soot. Never try to eat more than you can lift
  17. Paying a load of money to make their truck even less fuel efficient so that they pay a lot more for gas - those old boys sure stuck it to the man. Kinda feel the joke's on them. Never try to eat more than you can lift
  18. You know, the US was founded partly by immigrants and descendents of immigrants fleeing religious persecution. So you will have to excuse me for not being as trusting or welcoming to these Muslim immigrants coming in. Next thing you know, they start banding together and demanding they be allowed to rule their own communities with "sharia law". Get enough of them in the US to elect their own representatives in state and US govt, and you can expect some real issues down the road. I see, I see . . . So, you're afraid they'll become as jingoistic as the rest of the US. Maybe open up their own Hobby Lobby and such. Hmmm... Just concerned they will bring their own brand of religious freedom and force it down our throats. Maybe not in my lifetime... but give it enough time for their numbers to grow... Well - the supreme court DID just rule that would be OK. Still - it could be worse, these immigrants could come in and kill all the locals or drive them into small pockets of land - lets call them "reservations". Never try to eat more than you can lift
  19. Problem: traffic congestion caused by traffic lights (especially those with no sensors or poorly programmed sequences). Solution: roundabouts. ....get rid of 4 way stops in there as well Never try to eat more than you can lift
  20. That was my immediate thought on the ruling. Christian objections to (insert healthcare benefit here) are fine in their eyes but I bet islamic ones aren't. Never try to eat more than you can lift
  21. Fair enough. I personally blame Open Carry Texas and the like for this sort of move by Target (and Chipotle, etc). Just because you CAN do something doesn't necessarily make it a good idea. Never try to eat more than you can lift
  22. Errrr no. Please explain how this is a shot at the 2nd. This isn't a shot at the 2nd in the same way that someone getting fired for calling their boss an asshole isn't a shot at the 1st. I don't have to let you into my house if I don't want to if you are carrying. Never try to eat more than you can lift
  23. Priceless Never try to eat more than you can lift
  24. Agreed This why we have the president we have today Maybe. I think that if Bush had done a better job the election would have been easier for Republicans. Picking Palin as VP candidate was as stupid as letting this guy run for office though. Hard to believe that in all of the Republican party there wasn't a better candidate. Exactly right. The GOP faithful don't seem to realise that the reason Obama is president is that they haven't put up a better alternative. (And so far I haven't seen much to impress me for 2016 either.)
