  1. Agreed - however those two things are forbidden in the new testament. Like homosexuality. The other poster seemed to be implying that the NT was correct, but not the OT. Never try to eat more than you can lift
  2. Shellfish have been legal since the NT. Thanks for playing. Ah so some of the bible is right and some is wrong? If you are going down that route, you better not let the women in your family wear pants or speak in church. Never try to eat more than you can lift

  5. hey - at least the heartland institute (aka far right mouthpiece) now agree climate change is happening. Baby steps I guess. Never try to eat more than you can lift
  6. And if you keep saying this, maybe eventually it will become true rather than being wishful thinking. Never try to eat more than you can lift

  9. It does happen, and it doesn't seem to lead to any better or worse results than any other choices with regards to the successfulness of the marriage. After thinking about it some, my opinion is that by making it such a big deal its kind of like telling a small child NOT to push that button - it becomes a big thing. Much better is to teach mutual respect and help guide that person to make good choices in general. then, if that child does or doesn't end up having sex, hopefully they make that decision for the right reasons, rather than just because an old story (or MTV for that matter) says so. I know several loving, happy families where the parents are not married for different reasons, so I am going to have to disagree with you there. Minors - yes, I agree. Once they are old enough to make their own decisions, not so much. Never try to eat more than you can lift
  10. They'd do better with a credit card on the DJI website methinks. Never try to eat more than you can lift
  11. Since before you knew what was in it, in fact. I smelled the BS. I didn't need the particular lies of the week from them. At least you admit it. The ACA could have achieved 100% insured and you would still be bagging it. Not much point debating with close mindedness like that. Never try to eat more than you can lift

  13. Which begs the question, why they feel the need to make up stories about how it's failing so badly, most of which get shown up as the complete nonsense that they are. Is it perfect? No. Could it be better? Yes. Is it better than what came before? Yes. Curiosity makes me ask you if you used the american insurance system of independant insurance or were you on your National Insurance plan? I have used both - currently I have a private plan as well as the subsidised healthcare (which, incidentally, I believe to be the best all round solution), when I was working in the US I used the american system (duh ) and I currently have a team based in Atlanta GA for which we have a corporate scheme. 15. OK - so now it's starting to do what it's supposed to, you are making up reasons why it will fail in the future? Only the right wing can view more people having healthcare as a bad thing. Never try to eat more than you can lift

  18. I guess all the depictions of him are wrong, but all the stories as written in the bible are true. Bit of a logical stretch. Stop bringing logic into this - you know "logic" and "religion" are mutually exclusive. Never try to eat more than you can lift
  19. Meh I didn't watch the video (hotel internet, too clunky) and maybe I missed something, but the premise doesn't seem to be that bad a thing? Do I agree with all of the concepts? No - I've known a few people from this sort of background who have gone on to incredibly unhappy marriages and lives that I think its a naive concept, however if its your faith then I have no wish to interfere. One sentence that I thought was a bit strange (and not just due to grammar): "The culture seems only to paint dads as men who abandon or abuse or men are just mocked in the father role" I'm not quite sure what they mean here - I don't believe thats what society as a whole thinks. Cosmos

All one need do is watch an episode of "The Simpsons" to know that. Virtually every character on it is more perceptive than most of the hosts of Fox News. Apparently Sunday's program about comets has upset the young Earthers, because it takes longer than 6,000 years for a comet to reach the inner solar system from the Oort cloud. So the Oort cloud doesn't, therefore, exist. Which reminded me of: Never try to eat more than you can lift
